“How long do you plan to keep sleeping?”
A clear female voice sounded beside him, and Lucas suddenly opened his eyes.
Come to think of it, right after he had been rescued, he lost consciousness.
Could it be that he had died from blood loss?
“Great, I’m not dead.”
The girl speaking must be the grim reaper sent to fetch him.
“Hey, you!”
The girl’s voice came again, this time tinged with displeasure.
“Look at me!”
Only then did Lucas turn his attention to the girl speaking.
She was a young girl with pure white long hair, wearing a white dress that outlined her petite frame.
Her two small, spotless feet were bare on the ground.
Apart from that, she didn’t have any other remarkable features.
If anything, she was pretty.
But still not prettier than Lelia.
“You jerk, at a time like this you’re still arguing about who’s prettier, me or your beloved?”
The little girl stretched out her foot and kicked Lucas lightly on his calf.
“So who are you? The grim reaper here to take me?”
The girl snapped her fingers, and suddenly a table appeared between them.
“Please have a seat.”
She cleared her throat and elegantly extended her hand, gesturing for Lucas to sit in the chair that had appeared behind her.
Though Lucas didn’t know how she did it, it seemed pretty impressive.
“First of all, you’re not dead.”
The girl got straight to the point.
“You just fainted, and I took this opportunity to come find you.”
“So, who exactly are you?”
“Tch, is this how you talk to your savior?”
The girl ruffled her hair with dissatisfaction.
“Forget it, time is tight, I’ll keep it brief.”
She cleared her throat and then spoke more seriously to Lucas.
“Lucas, Morovira is in great danger right now. You must go save the world.”
Lucas stared at the little girl as if she were crazy, even preparing to stand and leave.
“At this point, I have no choice but to explain everything.”
The girl stood up, lifted her skirt, and bowed slightly to Lucas.
“Nice to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the God of Creation of Morovira. As a native of Morovira, you should know my name.”
Lucas looked at the girl with disbelief.
As the God of Creation of Morovira, she was the shared faith of all races in this world.
In everyone’s understanding, she should be a majestic, kind, powerful, and motherly figure.
But this little girl, who might even need a small stool to reach the dining table, looked nothing like that godly image.
“What’s the matter, don’t believe me?”
She sat down again.
“Well, I can’t blame you. I look nothing like the god you know, so it’s natural not to believe me.”
With that, she snapped her fingers again, and a pastry appeared on the table.
“Lucas, as the God of Creation of Morovira, I humbly ask you to become my Knight and save Morovira.”
She stood and bowed deeply to Lucas.
Such a grand gesture left Lucas feeling awkward.
If she really was the god herself, what could be so serious that the God of Creation would lower herself to beg him?
“After countless divinations, fate chose you. This is something only you can accomplish.”
She sat down again and looked at Lucas.
“Now, please eat this.”
She pointed at the pastry on the table, signaling Lucas to eat it.
“You eat it? I’m not really hungry.”
“You have to.”
The girl’s tone suddenly grew firm.
“If you eat this, you will gain part of my Authority. I’m giving you Authority in a way humans can accept.”
Still skeptical, Lucas took the pastry and put it in his mouth.
It looked delicious, but the taste was unexpectedly awful—like chewing on wax.
Lucas forced himself to swallow it.
But maybe she was telling the truth.
Although the process was painful, once swallowed, Lucas felt as if his body was reborn, filled with power from head to toe.
“As part of your warrior’s Authority, I entrust it to you.”
The girl stood and paced over to Lucas, taking his hand and helping him to stand.
“Please, Lucas. I’m currently stretched too thin.”
“Save the world, huh… How am I supposed to do that?”
The girl smiled gently, as if she had already expected his question.
“You probably noticed you gained a memory segment, right? That’s the Memory Guidance I gave you. Use it to change the future of this world.”
“That memory… It was you!”
“Exactly. The people who appear in that memory—find them. You will need their power.”
“By the way, if you are the God of Creation, why don’t you just do it yourself?”
Morovira’s God sighed and explained, “Morovira is being invaded by something I’m currently suppressing. To contain it, I exhausted too much power. Now, I’m too weak to act directly and can only save this world through you.”
“Let me ask you—are you really that…”
“Absolutely.”
The girl nodded and lightly tapped Lucas’s forehead.
At that moment, Lucas saw the birth of stars, mountains rising, and all life flourishing.
This was the scene of creation.
The girl was no impostor—she truly was the god.
“Now I believe your identity. But what exactly is this thing invading Morovira?”
“You can’t know yet. It’s not something you should know now.”
The more she withheld, the more curious Lucas became.
“Your mission now is to save the world. Find those people, then come to the Ancient Temple and destroy the invader completely.”
Ailveil’s words left Lucas speechless.
“Do you know how difficult it is to get to the Ancient Temple?”
“Of course I know.”
“Then why don’t you use your divine Authority to change the conditions for going to the Ancient Temple?”
The girl jumped up and lightly tapped Lucas’s head with a small fist.
“Are you stupid? Just destroying that thing’s body left me like this. How could I use Authority to change the world’s rules?”
“But if I don’t get to the Ancient Temple in time, Morovira will be lost, right?”
“Don’t worry about that. I still have enough power left to suppress it for a few more years.”
The girl pulled a silver sword from somewhere and made a sealing gesture, indicating Lucas to kneel on one knee.
“Lucas, you are now my Knight, the Savior of Morovira.”
She cupped his face in her hands.
“At this final moment, please let me look at you well.”
Lucas lifted his head and met her gaze.
“No wonder you were chosen by me. You’re quite handsome—my type.”
Ailveil smiled and kissed Lucas’s forehead lightly.
“This is the last help I give you. In the future, it will come in handy.”
Lucas felt a cool sensation deep in his mind—not uncomfortable, but soothing like a spring breeze.
“We will meet again soon. When that time comes, I will tell you everything else you want to know.”
The girl waved goodbye to Lucas.
Looking at her, Lucas felt, perhaps it was just his imagination, that their distance was growing.
Even if she didn’t say it, Lucas understood—it was time for him to return to reality.
“Go now, my Knight. With your new power, embrace your rebirth.”
