Originally.
The Church of Procreation already had a bad reputation due to the actions of those two legendary Supernaturals before.
Now, another heavy blow had struck.
Some of the wavering believers in the main church fled immediately.
Only the truly loyal and powerful followers of the God of Procreation remained.
The loss of members in the other branch churches was even more severe.
***
Inside the Shrine of the God of Procreation.
Only the remaining legendary Supernaturals of the upper ranks were left, all kneeling before the divine statue.
Their expressions were complicated, their faces full of worry.
They all began to pray to the God of Procreation.
Begging for the descent of the God of Procreation.
After a moment.
Radiant lights swirled over the statue, and from within it stepped out an exceptionally beautiful figure.
The apparition gradually became solid.
The God of Procreation, Xiunis, gazed coldly at the kneeling believers.
“Why are there only you legendary Supernaturals, Vic, Kitto, and the rest?”
“How did the task I ordered you to do go?”
Xiunis’s voice, filled with divinity, resounded throughout the Shrine.
The legendary Supernaturals hardly dared to utter a sound, glancing nervously at each other.
At last, as Xiunis was beginning to grow impatient.
One legendary Supernatural braced himself and stood up.
He presented a newspaper, bearing Sislia’s handwritten signature.
The handwriting was neat and precise.
The newspaper floated automatically to Xiunis.
He vaguely sensed that something bad had happened.
After He finished reading the contents of the newspaper.
The entire god stood frozen, as if lost in thought.
A moment later.
His expression didn’t change in the slightest, but He glanced at everyone with a detached look.
“I am aware of this matter.”
“The Church of Procreation will temporarily close, halt all external activities, and await my Oracle.”
After finishing, He disappeared instantly, almost as if fleeing in embarrassment.
Not only the Church of Procreation.
That very day.
The Church of War, the Church of the Ocean—
It was rumored that these churches too received an Oracle from their respective gods.
It seemed as if their gods gave some instructions to their Popes, and then, these churches too became much more low-key.
Many people living near the Nation of Nature claimed to have seen members of these churches leaving the Nation of Nature.
But, the spread of these rumors was limited.
And even those who started the rumors disappeared not long after.
No one ever saw them again.
Instead, the Popes of these churches all quickly stepped out to refute the rumors.
***
Four days after the incident.
In a small town.
Lu Ming looked over the reports and rumors about the movements of various churches that Sislia had gathered.
He pondered for a moment.
“If the God of Procreation is wise, He definitely won’t make any moves again in the short term.”
“The collapse of divine faith—this sort of thing has happened many times in these three epochs.”
“The safest way is to wait for the storm to pass, for everyone who remembers this to die off, and then the god can absorb believers anew.”
After all, their lifespan is infinite, time is meaningless to Them.
But the collapse of faith in the God of Procreation was especially harsh.
It’s possible He’ll go down in history as one who fell into depravity and became an evil god.
“Let’s hope that bastard learns his lesson.”
A flash of murderous intent appeared in Lu Ming’s eyes. Once he ascends to godhood, that will be the moment the God of Procreation meets his downfall.
As for the Church of War and the Church of the Ocean, the reason he didn’t let Lisi expose them—
First, to focus public opinion on the Church of Procreation.
Second, to avoid offending so many gods at once.
But that doesn’t mean the matter is over.
He glanced at Lisi, who was still sleeping deeply beside him, her legs so sore she couldn’t move at all.
Lu Ming let out a faint sigh.
“The title of ‘Goddess of Fertility’ has already begun to spread.”
“Next, I need to increase the progress of the Authority of Fertility and solidify the existence of the Goddess of Fertility.”
“Then, I will ascend to godhood through [Lies].”
That’s right, this is Lu Ming’s Path to Godhood.
Deceive the entire continent, make them believe Lu Ming is the Goddess of Fertility.
And then become the Promise God of Lies.
“If I want to increase my mastery of [Fertility], I need to hold the second Tea Party. This time, I want to invite a new member.”
A smile tugged at Lu Ming’s lips.
A homing pigeon flew out from the Shrine, streaking rapidly through the air.
Heading toward a certain destination.
***
Desolate Land, Badlands.
This is the far end of the continent.
A place considered ominous by the gods, a land never to be set foot in.
At minimum, only legendary Supernaturals can survive there.
It is a gathering place for the most terrifying and evil people and creatures: Ancient Evil, Hell Demon…
On the bizarre and corrupting soil.
A man clad in a long robe and a mask that covered his face walked briskly along.
The Ancient Evil lurking in the Badlands made no attempt to hide their malicious gaze.
From time to time, eerie and chilling whispers echoed out.
As he walked, he suddenly looked in a certain direction.
Just as he relaxed his guard.
The ground shook violently, splitting open into a crack whose end could not be seen.
A worm, its body covered in slime and sprouting countless wicked eyes, poked its head out of the chasm.
Just its head alone was like an endless mountain range tens of thousands of meters high.
One could only look up in awe.
But the man looked at the enormous worm and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Sorry, Evil-Eyed Worm, I don’t have time to play with you today. I’m afraid I have to attend an interesting… Tea Party?”
His tone was flat, as if merely mentioning a matter of no importance.
He extended his palm and pressed it against the ground.
As the only Half-god of the Evil Deeds Made Easy Sequence.
He wielded the supernatural power that made all acts of evil—whatever they might be—especially easy to succeed.
His divine power seeped into the Badlands, and the cracked earth quickly closed up.
Clamping the giant worm’s head tightly in place.
Its many eyes spun restlessly, emitting a terrifying polluting aura.
But the man had already vanished, and the Evil-Eyed Worm could only let out a howl of indescribable discomfort and rage.
Then it withdrew back into the Badlands.
***
What met the eye was a lush, green scene.
A figure in a black robe walked slowly through the area.
He glanced around, clearly curious about the scenery here, as if feeling a sense of being in another world.
“Garcia, slow down, Your Highness and I won’t fight you for it.”
“I—I know, Danjiu just can’t help it!”
One voice was cool and gentle, another soft and cute.
The man couldn’t help but pause, and followed the sound.
After passing through a small path.
He came upon a scene he’d never witnessed before.
Clear springs, towering trees, a lavish garden, all peaceful and beautiful.
Especially the three girls sitting together nearby, who were particularly pleasing to the eye.
He locked onto Lu Ming with a single glance; that aura, which even he couldn’t see through—indeed, a deity.
Seeing the harmony among the three, he only felt like a sewer rat spying on others’ happiness.
“How long has it been since I’ve seen a scene like this…”
“Half-god Zorg, greets the great Your Highness. Praise be to You.”
“And this must be the famous Sislia, the Pope of legend. It’s an honor.”
Upon hearing this, both Lu Ming and Sislia looked over.
In fact, they had sensed Zorg’s presence long ago.
Lu Ming gazed deeply at Zorg.
‘Good thing I didn’t invite the wrong person. Just someone newly ascended to Half-god, still manageable—but his Sequence and Authority, what a wicked feeling…’
Lu Ming couldn’t help but be more wary of Zorg; after all, he was a being from the “Badlands” of the Desolate Land.
