“Mom! Save me————!”
A loud scream echoed throughout the place, causing the three Blood Clan members to burst out laughing with a “pfft” sound.
“Hahaha—! You really think shouting ‘Mom’ will save you? How utterly naive!”
“Looks like a little girl who can’t live without her mother, hahaha!”
“Oh dear, I’m so scared! Where’s your mommy? Hurry up and make her come save you, hahaha!”
Amidst the raucous laughter of the three Blood Clan, Luna lowered her head after shouting, standing quietly in place as their mocking laughter echoed in her ears.
“Alright, the joke’s over. Don’t think you can escape just by calling for your mom!”
One of the Blood Clan sneered as their laughter slowly died down, then they advanced toward Luna again.
Just as they were less than half a meter away from her…
Bang—!
First came the explosive roar of high-pressure gas being released, immediately followed by the sharp “bang” of a gunshot.
One of the Blood Clan suddenly collapsed, clutching his leg in pain after being shot!
“Ahhhhh—my leg!”
“Wh-what—”
Before they could react, several more similar shots rang out, and bullet holes appeared one after another near their feet, clearly a warning to stop advancing.
“It’s a sniper! Fall back, quickly!”
The leader shouted loudly while dragging the injured Blood Clan member back.
After hastily casting a simple Healing Technique, they turned their gaze back to where Luna stood.
“Sniper! Where are you hiding!?”
The Blood Clan looked around frantically but found no sign of the sniper.
What puzzled them even more was that after they put distance between themselves and Luna, the sniper’s attacks ceased.
“Heh…” While they scrambled anxiously in search of the sniper, Luna let out a cold laugh, her eyes shining with mockery and delight.
“People from the Demon Realm…” Luna suddenly spoke, her voice carrying an inexplicable authority that instantly caught the attention of the three Blood Clan.
“Why don’t we just stop here and let us go? Otherwise, the only path ahead of you is death.”
Her words were cold and resolute, completely different from her previous demeanor, causing the three Blood Clan to feel unprecedented pressure and unease.
In fact, at this moment, Luna’s body was being controlled by Eliza, while Luna herself had become a mere spectator—like Eliza had been before—watching this battle in the form of a soul.
Eliza was in an exceptionally good mood. After Luna spoke those words, Eliza happily took full control of Luna’s body.
Meanwhile, the spectating Luna blushed deeply, embarrassed that she had just said something so awkward and then calmed down so quickly!
A sniper?
Where!?
She was just as clueless as the three Blood Clan, searching desperately for the sniper’s location and not understanding what had just happened.
Let’s shift perspective back to Eliza…
After hearing Eliza’s warning, the three Blood Clan wore expressions full of disdain.
They viewed the sniper as an insignificant threat.
“Hmph, just a mere sniper. Don’t think you can stop us!”
One Blood Clan jeered arrogantly.
Suddenly, one of the Blood Clan flashed forward, attempting to quickly close the distance to Eliza and thrust his spear straight at her vital spot.
However, just as the spear was about to pierce Eliza’s body—
Bang! Another gunshot, a death sentence.
The Blood Clan’s body trembled violently as his head exploded into a spray of blood, his massive inertia sending him crashing heavily to the ground, utterly lifeless.
“Wh-what…!”
The two remaining Blood Clan stared in shock at the grisly scene before them.
They had assumed that once they approached Eliza, the sniper would be helpless, but instead, they had lost one of their own!
How could this be—
The leader’s heart filled with terror.
What baffled him even more was that this space supposedly contained only Eliza, so no outside force should have been able to intrude so easily.
Yet where had this sniper come from?
This question filled their minds.
“Looks like my warning was completely ignored,” Eliza said softly, a hint of displeasure in her tone.
She snapped her fingers, as if summoning something.
Then four bullets shot out like precise arrows of death, striking the legs of the two Blood Clan remaining on their feet.
They immediately lost their balance and collapsed to their knees, screaming in agony.
“Ahhh—my legs!!!”
“My legs! My legs—!”
The two Blood Clan howled in pain, their voices echoing throughout the empty space.
One of them tried to use the Healing Technique but recoiled in terror when it had no effect!
“Why… why isn’t the Healing Technique working!?”
Eliza slowly stepped forward, a smile playing on her lips as she approached them.
“Thinking the Healing Technique would help? Sorry to disappoint, but these are Special Bullets—you can’t heal from this.”
Upon hearing her, the man seemed to accept his fate and ceased casting the Healing Technique.
“Oh dear, seeing you in such pain makes me almost feel pity,” she said, her voice tinged with mockery.
“But if you say something nice to cheer me up, maybe I’ll be in such a good mood that I’ll really let you live.”
The two Blood Clan sneered.
“Don’t be ridiculous! We’re Empire Secret Guard; we’ll never submit to you!”
“Yeah! We’d rather die than beg you for mercy!”
That was exactly the answer Eliza wanted.
She merely stared at them coldly, her smile growing brighter.
Then two gunshots rang out, striking the two squarely in the shoulders.
“Ugh…” The two Blood Clan groaned, barely able to cry out as they knelt on the ground in pain.
“Oh my, you mocked me just moments ago, and now look how meek you’ve become,” Eliza said, grabbing the leader’s hair and forcing him to look her in the eyes, her teasing expression evident.
“You were laughing at my daughter earlier, weren’t you? And now you’re kneeling here? Let me tell you—there’s no cure for regret in this world.”
The Blood Clan leader was cowed by Eliza’s imposing aura, his face a mixture of fear and pain, and he dared not utter a sound.
The other Blood Clan was equally terrified, barely breathing.
“Boring.”
Eliza tossed the Blood Clan aside like trash, her gaze dripping with contempt.
She spoke coldly, “You know too much already—that’s your misfortune.” Then she snapped her fingers once more.
“Finish them.”
With her command, two sharp gunshots echoed.
The two remaining Blood Clan were instantly killed with headshots, their life signs vanishing quickly.
After confirming all three were dead, a female Demon appeared behind Eliza, holding a sniper rifle.
She looked very similar to a human, possessing human form and features.
But upon closer inspection, one could see the unique traits concealed within her.
Her face was delicate and refined, indistinguishable from a human woman’s.
But her eyes glimmered with the wisdom and depth unique to an Owl Demon, as if capable of perceiving everything around her.
Her hair resembled soft, delicate feathers, fluttering gently.
Most striking were her arms, which could transform into feather-like shapes on command, resembling a pair of spread owl wings.
She stood behind Eliza, expression cold and indifferent, as if the earlier events were none of her concern.
Eliza looked down at the bodies and coldly ordered, “Collect the bodies, and behead their leader.” She pointed at the Blood Clan leader.
The young woman immediately began moving, expertly handling the bodies and decapitating the leader’s head as instructed before disposing of them together.
“Good girl, it’s all taken care of now.”
At that moment, Eliza suddenly turned toward me with a gentle smile, completely different from her earlier self—like two completely different people.
Pretending to be cute in front of me, acting like I didn’t see her dark side just moments ago!
Honestly, after seeing her earlier performance, I couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat.
…Best not to mess with Eliza, I silently vowed.
“Eliza, who is that person?”
I asked curiously.
This woman had appeared out of nowhere and seemed very obedient to Eliza, which puzzled me.
But Eliza clearly didn’t want to answer.
“That’s a secret,” she said, leaving me speechless.
“Really… can’t you just tell me?”
I murmured quietly, but Eliza paid no attention.
“All right, all right, your friends should be struggling too. Go help them,” she said.
