The Clock Tower โ the oldest educational institution within the Kingdom of Havoc Empire.
In the game [Valorant], it served as the primary location for the main character to develop themselves and their daughters.
Its structure didn’t follow the ordinary “students go to class, teachers go to work” model.
Instead, it was an “Academy” formed by the union of various formal organizations from both inside and outside the Empire.
When Valo had ordered takeout on the day she first started the game, she couldn’t help but think: ‘Wait, this is just like group-buying a budget meal.’
There was the [Arcane Society], which symbolized the pinnacle of magic and mystery.
Then there was the [Knight Order], a formation of humanoid tanks forged from swords, shields, blood, and sweat.
Finally, there was the [Hidden Sea Church], composed of nuns who represented faith, law, and order.
Aside from these mainstream factions, the Clock Tower also housed many niche, hidden gem academic sects โ there were even academy idols who excelled at singing, dancing, and rapping.
In the game, the player could raise their daughter’s stats and personality in different directions by having her choose a specific faction for advanced studies.
This was the primary method of character cultivation.
As for the protagonist themselves, they could normally enter the Clock Tower to “steal” skills by taking on part-time jobs. However, the position of Infirmary Health Teacherโฆ
That was considered the lowest tier โ the cheapest job with the fewest benefits.
Having quickly received her employment invitation from the Clock Tower, Valo sighed inwardly.
She had been played by that old magical fossil, the Great Sage.
A few days later.
Deep within the ground floor of the Clock Tower, the [Infirmary] sat in a spot far removed from the other classrooms, making it feel particularly quiet and serene.
After the old school doctor retired peacefully, the room welcomed its new owner.
It was currently early morning.
A gentle breeze drifted through the window, bringing the morning sun’s warmth and the fragrance of the flower beds outside into the room.
The spacious, bright infirmary was lined with several neatly arranged single beds for students to rest on.
A cabinet filled with basic medical supplies and a tea table stocked with a full set of cups served as Valo’s workspace.
She had changed into the uniform worn by the professors of the Clock Tower: an indigo jacket and a short skirt, paired with the absolute territory created by black thigh-high stockings.
Over that, she wore a slightly oversized white lab coat that symbolized her status as a health teacher.
In an unprecedented move, she had braided her long white hair and secured it with a hair clip at the back of her head.
Finally, as a finishing touch, she put on a pair of non-prescription, black-rimmed glasses.
Valo walked over to the mirror and struck a pose.
“I am the health teacher here. Little girl, where does it hurt?”
She then casually picked up an empty syringe from the table.
“You’ll need an injection for these symptoms. Hurry up, take off your tights and face me.”
‘Tsk, tsk, tsk. So mature, so intellectual, so refined.’
Howeverโฆ listening to a beautiful girl’s frightened whimpers while giving her a legal and compliant injectionโฆ
‘I can keep dreaming. You can find anything in your dreams.’
In the game, the position of health teacher was the most idle role for the main character.
After all, why would the genius boys and girls of the Clock Tower ignore simple and efficient healing magic just to visit the infirmary for old-fashioned bandaging?
‘This is ridiculous. I’ll just stay here for a bit to look the part, then leave early to explore the Clock Tower. That’s the priority.’
Valo was thinking exactly that one second.
The next second, she turned her head and saw a familiar young figure through the window next to the infirmary door!
It was Ain, the Knight Princess from the Hero Party!
The girl, Val Junior, was staring wide-eyed at Valo in front of the full-length mirror.
She looked as if she were one step away from calling Valo a “seducer.”
Clearly, she had witnessed the entire performance without missing a single detail.
This feeling was exactly like having a primary school essay chosen by the principal, only to have them read it aloud over the microphone to the entire school during the Monday flag-raising ceremony!
Their eyes met. Before a blushing Valo could even attempt to explain, the Knight Princess snapped back to her senses.
She put on a look of “unbearable pain” and wobbled into the infirmary.
“Ughโฆ Mom, I accidentally hurt my arm during morning practice. Could you please apply some medicine and bandage it for me?”
The girl groaned and grimaced as she sat down in front of Valo, speaking with total conviction untilโฆ
Valo saw the so-called “wound” on Ain’s arm.
‘Oh dear, Ain, this wound is truly severe. If you had come five minutes later, I’m afraid it would have healed on its own.’
Valo took out an alcohol swab and rubbed it vigorously over the girl’s arm.
She had no choice; since her current identity was the health teacher, she had to play the part.
She sighed. “Miss Ain, could you please stop using these kinds of injuries as an excuse to bother me in the future?”
She definitely hadn’t joined the Clock Tower just to slack off.
Valo’s original plan had been perfect: the health teacher was an optional, disposable position, but with this identity, she could move freely throughout the Clock Tower to search for clues regarding the Holy Relics.
After all, she couldn’t completely sever her role as the “mother” to her two daughters in the short term.
To face the inevitable bad endings that lay ahead, using the power of the Holy Relics for self-preservation was a matter of extreme urgency.
Valo was considering making up an excuse to get Val Junior to settle down, but before she could speak, she realized a serious problem.
“Waitโฆ Ain, how did you know I became the health teacher here?”
There shouldn’t have been many people who knew about this.
Then, the girl landed a direct blow to her dreams of leveling up.
“Oh, that?”
The girl scratched the back of her head mindlessly.
“Finney told us. During morning training, she very proudly told everyone in the Arcane Society and the Knight Order that you had come here to be the health teacher.”
โฆ
‘Female Hero! You are the death of me!’
It was too late to try and maneuver around the situation. A moment later, more and more noise gathered outside the infirmary door.
“Injured” students began flooding into the office belonging to the mother of the Hero, one after another.
“Professor Valo, I sprained my ankle. Could you give it a rub?”
The female student began taking off her shoes and black silk stockings as she spoke.
“Professor Valo is so gentle. As expected of the Hero’s mother.”
‘Why would you say something so wicked?’
A young man waiting in line for treatment turned to whisper to his companion after thinking deeply for 0.01 seconds. “I love her.”
“Even if she’s a flat-chested loli widow, it’s worth it. Is it too late to be reincarnated as her next child?”
‘You two, get out!’
A single sentence from Finney had completely ruined Valo’s plan to explore the Clock Tower.
Once the students learned that the “Hero’s mother is the health teacher,” they began visiting her one after another as if she were a grand empress.
Without exception, they were all faking their illnesses.
Because of this, Valo didn’t even have a moment to catch her breath while dealing with them, let alone time to leave the infirmary.
It wasn’t until noon that she finally managed to usher most of them out.
Valo lowered her head to massage her shoulders when she heard new footsteps.
Thinking it was another student causing trouble with a fake illness, she spoke with reflexive impatience.
“Sighโฆ is it a stomachache or a headache this time? Go lie down on a bed yourself. I’m going to eat.”
There was no response.
When she looked up and saw the person standing there, Valo immediately felt unwell.
It was her “precious daughter.”
“Uh, Kaikaโฆ”
The girl was holding two portions of exquisite lunch she had brought from the cafeteria, appearing as though she wanted to eat with her.
But heaven only knew how long Kaika had been watching her from outside the infirmary, or what her unfilial daughter had imagined after seeing her “popularity.”
After all, Kaika’s [Blackening Value] was still sitting at a dangerously high 95%.
Her current situation perfectly met the trigger conditions for the [Imprisonment Revenge Ending]!
Valo was terrified that if Kaika got even slightly upset, she would tie her up and take her to a dark room to “show her devotion.”
She had to act like a mother who cared deeply for her daughter, pretending not to see the lunch boxes in the girl’s hands.
She asked worriedly, “Did you come to the infirmary because you were hurt? Let Mommy see!”
As she spoke, she thought: ‘With my current persona as a good mother who cares for her daughter, I shouldn’t be able to trigger Kaika, right?’
However, the angles from which the girl chose to hate her always caught Valo off guard.
“โฆCan I not come if I’m not hurt, Mother?”
‘Hissโฆ Kaika, that’s just sophistry! Do you only get happy if Mother cries for you?’
The girl’s moods were becoming increasingly unpredictable, shifting as quickly as a thunderstorm.
“I brought you lunch. You don’t need to go anywhere outside the infirmary anymore, Mother.”
The good news was that the girl’s aggression toward her didn’t seem as strong as before.
The bad news was that her daughter had just found new inspiration.
“โฆAlso, Mother, I suddenly feel a bit unwell.”
