Su Yao’s paid cheat plugin expired today. Without wasting a moment, after rushing back to the dungeon, she bowed in the direction of Moravia.
“May Miss Hilvi, the great benefactor, have a smooth journey,” the blonde loli silently prayed.
“Welcome back, Princess Clorel, Miss Su Yao.”
“Welcome back, Master.”
“Welcome, Master.”
Sophia, accompanied by Doro and Dolly, slightly bowed at the entrance of the dungeon room to greet the arriving Su Yao and Clorel.
The white-haired, red-eyed beauty was quite pleasing to the eye.
“You all go wait near the dungeon entrance for a while. I need to make some arrangements here.”
Su Yao dismissed everyone from the room. Now she had to redecorate the dungeon, with the main focus being on designing the maze.
She was eager to add a touch of high-level challenge and shock to this world filled entirely with initial dungeon mazes.
Taking out all the leather trunks and gold from the warehouse, the DP obtained after conversion was far higher than she had expected.
This made perfect sense— coins usually contained many impurities when melted down, but the gold bars Hilvi had prepared this time were of much higher purity.
“Wishing Miss Hilvi a smooth journey once again.”
After paying homage to the God of Wealth, Su Yao opened the DP Shop to first check which monster refresh points could be placed in the “Dungeon” environment, as well as which monsters she could summon.
Unfortunately, the “Diamond Turtle” and “Unicorn” refresh points that Clorel had mentioned could not be set up in her dungeon.
The former required a dungeon environment called “Saint Hall,” and the latter needed “Nature.”
The “Steel Golem” refresh point could be placed in the “Dungeon” environment, but since there was no nearby mineral vein, the cost to place it was about ten times higher.
If she set it up, she couldn’t build the maze, which was clearly not cost-effective.
No choice— Su Yao had to choose other monster refresh points.
There were plenty of common monster refresh points, but since she was going to set them, she had to consider the “Dungeon” characteristics.
Like tourists choosing destinations, people preferred places with local specialties…
That was her original thought.
【Mother Spider’s Nest】: The top hunter in the dark dungeon, it paralyzes prey with its poisonous fangs before trapping them with spider silk. Once placed, it spawns 【Spider Eggs】 (can hatch, limit 0/20) and 【Giant Mother Spider】 (limit 0/1) nearby.
【Vampire Bat Gathering Place】: Residents of the dark dungeon who hunt in groups. Being attacked by them has a small chance to cause a “sickly” state. Can only be placed on the ceiling. Once placed, it generates 【Vampire Bats】 (limit 0/50).
【Mist Scorpion’s Lair】
……
Where was the dungeon environment? If she pursued these specialties, this place would turn into an insect nest in no time.
As a beautiful girl— no, as a normal person— she simply couldn’t accept that.
Big spiders, bats, scorpions… what kind of customers would be attracted by those?
Compared to them, slimes were absolutely adorable.
She set the matter of monster refresh points aside for now.
Su Yao then checked the monsters she could summon directly.
There wasn’t much special here; except for DP limitations, she could summon almost all of them, with no “environment incompatibility” problems.
It was worth noting that some monsters consumed less DP when summoned inside a “Dungeon” environment.
Besides the specialty refresh points mentioned earlier, there were these:
【Skeleton Soldier】: Basic combat monster in dungeons; their fragile bone frames can’t withstand much damage but can fight with various weapons.
【Gargoyle】: Often mistaken for statues in the dungeon, they have extremely high defense when still.
【Minotaur】: A classic dungeon monster, also known as the 【Minotaur】, whose powerful physique and massive battle axe make every intruder flee in fear.
……
Although not perfect, at least she didn’t have to worry about her dungeon being filled with just bugs.
Alright, next up was today’s main event— building the maze.
No hesitation— she directly spent 1000 DP to build the initial maze in the dungeon. As the name suggests, aside from forks and dead ends, it had no other means to trap adventurers.
As long as they kept moving along one side of the palace walls, people would eventually find the exit.
Clorel had said most dungeons in this world were like this, only differing in the kinds of monsters inside and the traps laid out.
The initial maze could only trap adventurers for about one to two days at most.
With the number of dungeon adventurers constantly increasing, it was only a matter of time before someone figured out the strategy to clear it.
That wouldn’t do— if adventurers just grabbed treasure chests and left, she’d suffer huge losses.
Su Yao first placed a large Magic Spring in the entrance hall of the dungeon, then set several big gates on the surrounding walls— starting with a small multiple-choice puzzle.
The purpose was to prevent adventurers from clustering together. If they grouped up, the monsters inside the dungeon would have a much harder time delaying them.
Next, she redesigned the maze’s forks and corners, where she had to use the previously mentioned Rotating Rooms.
DP – 4500.
Unfortunately, only ten rotating rooms could be placed per floor. Though a bit few, it was enough for her to frustrate people.
Each rotating room was equipped with special mechanisms. When adventurers entered, an iron grate above the door would drop, temporarily sealing the exit.
That was only the first safeguard—after all, mechanisms could malfunction or be destroyed.
The second safeguard was the monsters and treasure chests inside the rooms.
Su Yao planned to set all the monsters inside to standby mode, so if anyone dared to touch the treasure chests, they would immediately engage in battle.
Two layers of security ensured adventurers stayed inside the rotating rooms long enough.
By the time they got the treasure chest or the mechanism was lifted, their path forward would have quietly been changed.
Then, she purchased a type of metal door that could only be opened by inputting specific commands.
DP – 5000.
Only five of these special iron doors could be set per floor. Adventurers relying on brute force to open them was nearly impossible. The way to open them was simple— puzzles.
Two of the doors were placed on the necessary paths leading out of the maze. The puzzle difficulty was moderate, and she planned to change them periodically.
If adventurers couldn’t solve them, they could always take longer detours.
The remaining three doors were placed in front of three ordinary rooms on the maze’s edges. The puzzle difficulty was higher here because those rooms contained treasure chests she had set.
Finally, Su Yao bought an ordinary BOSS room (500 DP) and three teleport points (60000 DP).
Including the two previously purchased special-effect BOSS rooms, the upper limit was three BOSS rooms paired with three teleport points.
She didn’t plan to activate the two BOSS rooms she had already set up, but the newly bought BOSS room was placed in the deepest part of the dungeon maze.
The teleport point at the entrance was set as one-way, with its anchor point in the entrance hall with the Magic Spring.
As for the remaining teleport point, Su Yao naturally reserved it for herself and the maids’ rooms.
The deepest BOSS room also had treasure chest rewards, but the monsters guarding it would be numerous.
Like before, these monsters were planned only to guard the treasure chests and wouldn’t attack adventurers using the teleport points.
Perfect!
She truly was a genius!
