The doors of the mansion were slowly pushed open, and a scorching, cruel aura spread out.
Jukkido Simon, wearing her God and Demon Academy School Uniform, slowly stepped out from within.
She held an ordinary knight’s sword in her hand, having returned to her previous persona of an elegant, sunny young girl.
In contrast, Qingshamu and her companions appeared travel-worn, lacking any trace of glamour. They carried only a thick sense of bloodlust.
“Good for you, Xueyuedai. You’re the one who brought them here to cause me trouble. I can’t believe you actually betrayed me,” Jukkido Simon said with a loud laugh.
“You abandoned me to die back there. I only did what I had to do to save myself,” Xueyuedai replied with a frustrated sneer.
“It’s a good thing I never trusted you in the first place,” Jukkido Simon snapped.
“Have you ever actually trusted anyone?” Xueyuedai retorted, spreading her small hands in a mocking gesture.
It was unexpected that these two would be the first to start arguing.
It seemed that the meeting of enemies was nothing compared to the betrayal of a teammate.
Without this guide leading the way, Simon might have lived her life in peace.
“Where is Feini?” Qingshamu asked coldly.
“Sigh, Qingshamu, I’ve been annoyed by you from the very first moment I saw you. You really did come,” Jukkido Simon said with a heavy sigh.
“Our first meeting should have been in Phoenix City,” Qingshamu said.
“I should have cut you down with one stroke of my sword back then. It would have saved me all this trouble later,” Jukkido Simon taunted.
“Then you should start regretting that you didn’t.” Qingshamu slowly drew her magic sword, and shining Moonlight Mana began to gather upon the blade.
“Haha! You couldn’t win against me back then, so what makes you think you can defeat me now?” Jukkido Simon laughed.
“Roar!” Heiqi Long could no longer tolerate the woman’s laughter. With a furious roar, she lunged forward in a spiral dash.
Pitch-black Dragon Blades sprouted from her elbows as she delivered a vicious cross slash toward the Dragon Father.
However, Jukkido Simon calmly raised the knight’s sword in her hand.
She blocked Heiqi Long’s cross slash with ease and, with a casual flick of her wrist, sent Heiqi Long flying back.
“Blackie, there’s no need to be in a rush. Wait until I’ve dealt with these extras, and then we father and daughter will have a chance to have a long heart-to-heart talk.” Jukkido Simon grew even more arrogant.
She was currently showing her true colors, acting more and more like a Demon King.
Even though she had originally killed Feini precisely to avoid becoming the Demon King — unwilling to be a mere warlord in the Demon Domain, which is why she went to study at the God and Demon Academy — it seemed she hadn’t learned a thing.
After going in a huge circle, she was right back where she started.
In fact, she was even worse off now; she had lost her Demon Sword, and the sword no longer recognized her. Winning Feini back would be incredibly difficult.
……
Since Feini had been mentioned, what was she doing at such a critical moment?
She had been moved to a Room on the second floor. She was actually observing the Decisive Battle in the garden through a small window.
The Dragon Mother sat right beside her, monitoring her. She was also watching the show, waiting to see how things played out before deciding whether or not to intervene.
“Is that the dragon baby you gave birth to?” The Dragon Mother focused her gaze on Heiqi Long, looking very surprised. “Is she really only one year old? And she actually came to save her mother?”
“If you were the one captured, Jukkido Simon would definitely sit back and do nothing, wouldn’t she?” Feini mocked.
“That is the nature of our Dragon Clan. If you are beaten to death, it is simply because you are too weak. Jukkido Simon is already a very filial daughter for a dragon; after all, I am still alive,” the Dragon Mother replied matter-of-factly.
‘A filial daughter…’ Feini was speechless.
“This proves that the child isn’t really of the Dragon Clan at all. She is a different species. In fact, you could say she is closer to you; your bloodline has taken the upper hand,” the Dragon Mother continued her analysis.
“After all, that girl was created only by absorbing Jukkido Simon’s blood. Since you didn’t consume any dragon meat, the child you produced can only be an inferior product.”
“Then watch as my ‘inferior product’ beats your daughter until she’s crawling on the ground,” Feini snorted.
“Are you serious? If she’s so capable, why did she bring so many people with her? Why not let them fight one-on-one?” The Dragon Mother remained stubborn.
“Then why don’t you go down there and tell her to put that sword down?” Feini challenged. “Then they can have a fair Duel, and everyone can fight bare-handed.”
The Dragon Mother went silent. Naturally, she had no intention of actually going down there.
“What kind of sword is that?” Feini asked.
“There’s no harm in telling you. That is a Dragon Slayer Sword,” the Dragon Mother said.
“Why would the House of Crimson Dragons have a Dragon Slayer Sword?” Feini asked.
“We are dragons; of course we would want to hide away the weapons specifically designed to kill us,” the Dragon Mother explained. “Just as your Demon-Slaying Sword has a Special Attack against Demonic Beasts, this sword has a Special Attack against the Dragon Clan.”
“You just said that Little Black’s Dragon Blood isn’t very strong, so the Special Attack should be ineffective,” Feini countered.
“No matter how little Dragon Blood she has, she is still a dragon,” the Dragon Mother said.
While the fight hadn’t even truly begun outside, these two were engaged in a fierce war of words, making for a truly ridiculous scene.
……
Back in the Iron Sunflower Garden.
“Move further away. I don’t want you destroying my house,” Jukkido Simon said with a wave of her hand. She signaled the group of four to move a few steps to the side while she moved to face them, keeping her distance from the old mansion to ensure the building wasn’t damaged during the fight.
“Can we start now?” Qingshamu asked.
“Come at me.” Jukkido Simon shook out her hand.
*Bang!*
In the next instant, Qingshamu launched herself forward like a rocket. Her Light Sword flashed, leaving a trail in the air as she closed the distance in a blink, aiming a slash at Jukkido Simon’s neck.
Jukkido Simon was forced to take things a bit more seriously. Her sword hand didn’t react in time, but her other hand moved first, reaching out to catch the Light Sword.
Whoosh!
Dragonflame ignited in her palm, clashing against the Moonlight mana enchantment on the Light Sword as their magical energies ground against each other.
The brilliant light illuminated Qingshamu’s grim expression, but Jukkido Simon remained as nonchalant as ever, clearly not taking Qingshamu seriously.
After all, the only person she truly feared was her own daughter. To her, this Human Hero was nothing more than an ant she could crush at will.
“Hah!”
The Dragon Slayer Sword in Jukkido Simon’s hand also ignited with a Dragon Breath Enchantment as she delivered an instantaneous upward slash.
She could catch a Hero’s moonlight slash with her bare hand and still counterattack—such was the beauty of sheer stats.
Qingshamu gritted her teeth and funneled all her power into her Moonlight Shield, attempting to block the strike from the dragon-flame blade.
Crrrk!
However, it was impossible to stop. The Moonlight Shield shattered like glass under the weight of the blow.
Fortunately, Qingshamu used the opening to step back and create distance, narrowly avoiding being hit.
“Is that all?” Jukkido Simon mocked coldly.
“…”
Qingshamu’s feet skidded across the ground for one meter before she came to a sudden halt, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Although she had long anticipated this gap in combat power—otherwise, she wouldn’t have needed to bring her daughter and her rival’s daughter to this bloody battle—it was still disheartening to be suppressed so easily.
“Father!” White Feather Dove called out from the side.
Instantly, Qingshamu felt all her negative emotions vanish.
