They were so angry they could die, cursing the officials.
Logged out from under their house by accident? Officials, show me just how one could “accidentally” log out from under a house!
These players, furious as they were, still had formidable strength. After cursing for a while, someone finally posted an update online.
They… really were crushed to death.
The entire Silver Sea City had changed completely!
From the posted images, all the buildings had been replanned.
Compared to the previous, very basic divisions like Residential Area, Trading Area, Activity Area, Teleportation Area, and Guild Area, the new city planning was clearly much better suited for Silver Sea City’s current environment.
For example, new zones were added like the Task Area where players could post tasks themselves, as well as the Learning Exchange Area and the Talent Market Area.
At the very center of the city stood the High Tower, which was now a signal landmark.
When disaster struck, the Giant Bell on the tower would sound, preventing situations like before where everyone was chatting away in the conference room, not paying attention to game notifications, and not even noticing a beast horde had appeared.
And the High Tower was not just for warnings.
From the images, it was clear that the City Contribution Ranking was now posted on it.
It looked like individuals would be ranked according to their contributions to the city.
No one was sure about the exact ranking criteria, and no names were displayed yet—just a “pending access” message.
Aside from that, those who successfully logged into Silver Sea City continued to explore, discovering many new things throughout the city.
For example, the new self-driving cars: for just 1–2 game coins, you could go anywhere in the city. Now, those without personal vehicles no longer had to travel on foot every time.
There was also the Silver Sea News Board, showing the latest updates in the city.
The very top message, bolded and with exclamation marks, read: “Major Reconstruction of Silver Sea City, Currently Collecting Feedback!!”
Below that were shop discount promotions and other announcements.
Those who had learned about formations looked at the ground patterns in Silver Sea City and said they resembled some kind of formation.
There were even new magical devices on the city walls.
Each new update was met with a slew of astonished replies.
—This is great! I want this too!! This feature should’ve been implemented ages ago!!
“Everything” is already as good as the Second World, so why do the officials still insist we focus on learning how to fight the aliens?
—Finally, they’re making changes—so touching!

Amidst the excited voices from various cities, the cries of despair from Silver Sea City residents were drowned out.
They didn’t mind the shifting of buildings or creation of new zones, but how could the city renovation have put them right across from their mortal enemies?!
One or two cases would be whatever!
But it turned out, as long as you had a mortal enemy, they were 100% placed right across your door, with almost no exceptions.
Is that appropriate?
Is that reasonable??
(ㄚ’口’)~(flips table)
These were the people who had chosen to log in from their own small houses.
After logging in and opening the door, seeing the name on the door opposite, or even directly seeing their enemy’s face, all they could do was let out a wail of despair.
Of course, it wasn’t any better for those who’d received messages and rushed back from other cities via emergency teleportation.
As soon as their figures emerged in the new Teleportation Area of Silver Sea City, a clear voice rang in their ears.
—Princess XXX has arrived! Irrelevant people, make way!!
—Everyone, look at me! I’m XXX and I’m here to make an announcement!
—Move aside! Don’t block me, XXX, from saving the world!
Over a dozen unique lines, each tied to the information brought by the Teleportation Array, loudly and clearly announced each person’s name.
Those who had never experienced anything like this simply froze on the spot, too embarrassed to step out of the Teleportation Array.
The first group to go through this ordeal were the lucky ones.
Because for the second and subsequent waves, everyone had to endure the previous group’s “monkey show” stares as well.
Do the people from other cities know what this feels like? They don’t! All they know is seeing others share new city features and exclaiming over there, “That’s awesome, I want that too!”
Wipes tears!
After being pranked by this, Silver Sea City residents choked up as they rushed to the Announcement Board, furiously submitting feedback.
Li Yunxian, who’d done the deed, couldn’t see the uproar on the Star Network, but she could see the tidal wave of feedback.
Ninety percent of it was people cursing and demanding their house locations be changed, another nine percent protested the Teleportation Array sound effects, and the final one percent were genuine suggestions.
This result was about what Li Yunxian expected.
Except, she thought there’d be more protest about the Teleportation Array sound effects.
She’d thought the ratio would be fifty-fifty between the two, but…
Li Yunxian rubbed her chin.
Never expected so many people would actually like it!
—Li Yunxian selectively ignored the fact that everyone, just like her, felt that if they were socially “dead,” they absolutely couldn’t let anyone else escape the same fate.
She set some filter words, ignored the two features she deliberately implemented, and focused more on the remaining feedback and requests, making further tweaks to the city.
Those still cursing noticed the city’s changes too.
When two buildings suddenly changed right in front of them, it was hard not to notice! @Infinite Good Literature, only on Jinjiang Literature City
Everyone was shocked all over again.
“That was my suggestion! The Task Area should have the simple section in the middle and the harder ones on the sides, so people don’t all crowd the entrance and make it hard to take on other tasks!!” someone exclaimed with delight.
Everyone looked closer and, sure enough, it was just as they said.
Similar tweaks weren’t limited to just the Task Area.
Very quickly, those submitting suggestions realized that as long as the request was reasonable, it would be implemented.
Immediately, Silver Sea City and the Star Network exploded with excitement.
Someone with remarkable efficiency even whipped up a rough map of the current Silver Sea City and posted it on the forums.
Hundreds of millions of people joined the passionate discussion, while those already in Silver Sea City selected the useful feedback to enter into suggestions.
Seeing Silver Sea City truly change, bit by bit, according to their input, everyone online suddenly felt a bit moved.
“My god, since when has ‘Everything’ ever been this efficient?! Instant changes!”
But of course, there were still complaints: “Why only Silver Sea City? Our XX City needs this too! Don’t play favorites!!”
“Why are officials ignoring our protests about house locations?! This doesn’t make sense!!”
In response, the “Everything” officials didn’t say anything, but someone exploring the new Silver Sea City noticed something odd.
“Hey? Why is there a new ‘city rental’ option?!” The person hadn’t finished being shocked before noticing that, below this feature, instead of the usual ‘Available for Rent’ button, it said ‘Currently Rented.’
No one on the Star Network was stupid—they immediately understood what was going on.

Someone posted this news online, and everyone who saw the hundred-million game coin price tag for the feature assumed it must be a bug.
What?
“Who would spend a million game coins just to rent a city? Even a top guild couldn’t cough up that much for fun!”
And that was just the cost to rent the city.
Based on past experience renting houses, renovations had to be handled by the renter, not just created out of thin air.
Renovating your own house was for yourself, but renovating an entire city could only be for everyone’s benefit.
What big guild would be so selfless?
Many said all this with solid reasoning, but even more fell silent.
Yeah, a big guild wouldn’t burn money like this, but a wealthy patron could do it just for fun.
There were only a handful of people in the entire game with the ability and the wealth, and Silver Sea City—once unremarkable, now suddenly prominent—just happened to have one.
Based on all the stories they’d heard, that person was indeed generous, always supporting the public good and willing to shell out money to make everyone’s life better.
So the rumors were true after all…
Everyone was dazed.
And in Silver Sea City, those who’d been ranting on the forums also fell silent after learning the truth.
They could curse the officials as much as they liked, but when it came to their boss, their Teacher Li…
Ahem.
Everyone now understood what was up with the mortal enemies and the Teleportation Array sound effects.
If Teacher Li wanted everyone to suffer social death together…
As long as Teacher Li was happy.
Teacher Li even remembered who everyone had a beef with—Teacher Li keeps us in her heart!
Teacher Li is the best!
Obedient face.
No one said a word to her face anymore, but all kinds of little actions carried on in secret.
Many people knew that Li Yunxian didn’t like reading messages, so they learned from others to stuff whatever they wanted to say into the suggestion box.
As for what they wrote…
Of course it’s not “XX and XXX don’t get along, they were cursing each other behind the scenes yesterday.”
And it couldn’t possibly be, “So-and-so and so-and-so used to be a couple, and even though things look fine now, they almost came to blows when they broke up.”
Li Yunxian, upon receiving a pile of gossip:
Ahem.
She quietly closed that section and, following those messages, secretly rearranged everyone’s small house locations again.
Well, you know.
Since everyone lives in the same city, they should share both hardship and joy—no one gets to escape, right?
Better for everyone to suffer together than for just a few.
Those who thought they’d dodged a bullet, only to find their house location suddenly changed again:
Fine, let’s die together!!
Li Yunxian spent several happy days in “Everything” before finally settling on a city plan that satisfied most people.
When she wrapped up, she originally thought of changing everyone’s house locations again, but was met with fierce opposition.
“Those who were crushed by their houses at the start get three days less of suffering! We can’t let them off easy!”
Everyone declared righteously.
Li Yunxian:
Whether it was truly about the other side suffering less, or the fact that, even as gossip-mongers themselves, the daily dose of dozens or even hundreds of dramatic scenes had been just too delicious these past few days—she knew well enough.
She explained to everyone that once the city’s buildings were fixed in place and the rental period was over, she would contact the officials again.
She submitted everyone’s requests for things like rankings, the Recruitment Function, Task Distribution and Reception Function, etc., sending them all at once to customer service.
“These are also reasonable player requests!”
Li Yunxian said.
Although the “Everything” officials seldom responded to news about Silver Sea City, they were well aware of everything that was happening.
What Li Yunxian did was beyond anything they’d expected.
You could say Silver Sea City had become a city shaped by the collective will of all its players.
Watching Li Yunxian take on official duties and run the whole game according to her vision, customer service didn’t know how to reply.
That someone like this could even exist in the world.
“Reply: Suggestions received. We will promote development of these features, and corresponding functions will be launched soon.” The official stationed cultivator spoke again.
Customer service hurriedly relayed this message.
Li Yunxian, satisfied with the result, turned her attention back to the game.
She habitually wanted to announce this on the Silver Sea News Board, but now that her rental period was over, she no longer had permission.
Clicking her tongue, she got ready to head out and post manually at the Announcement Board.
However, as she stepped out of her small house and swept her gaze around out of habit, her eyes stopped when she looked at the High Tower at the city center.
She saw that, though the feature wasn’t ready yet and the top wall of the High Tower was still bare, several people were up there riding flying magical devices, carving into the high wall.
Though it wasn’t finished yet, she could already tell what they were writing.
[City Contribution Ranking]
- Li Yunxian Contribution Points: 00
No matter how the officials access the data in the future, it was clear Li Yunxian would always be at the very top.
More authoritative than any number ever could be.
