The game doesn’t have any features related to guilds at all.
So, when a guild war breaks out, gathering people is way more troublesome than in traditional online games.
You need dedicated people to notify everyone one by one.
The semi-militarized management system that Chen Xiaoyan proposed earlier was made to deal with exactly this kind of situation.
For example, every ten members are managed by a Team Leader. The Team Leader’s job is to add all their members as friends, and when a guild war happens, they need to immediately send private messages to notify everyone to join the battle.
Ten Team Leaders are managed by a Platoon Leader, whose job is to add all ten Team Leaders as friends. When there’s a guild war, they notify those ten Team Leaders, and the Team Leaders pass the message down.
Ten Platoon Leaders are managed by a Battalion Leader, and the duties are pretty much the same.
Guild wars aren’t like those in traditional online games anymore, where the whole army just rushes in blindly.
Now, both Snowy Smoke Pavilion and Sword Pavilion have special Recorders.
The Recorder’s job is to keep track of anyone absent or if a team is missing members.
They write it all down in a little notebook and hand out penalties after the fight.
If a Team member is absent, the Team Leader shares the responsibility and gets 20% of the penalty deducted, with the absent member taking on the remaining 80%.
If a Team Leader is absent, the Platoon Leader shares the blame, and the punishment is the same.
And so on up the chain.
If you don’t do it like this, then when two guilds suddenly start fighting for no reason, with several hundred or even a thousand people, just getting everyone online would take nearly an hour.
So what’s the point? Might as well just go home and sleep.
The Immortal Realm recently updated a team function, increasing the team size limit to fifty people, which greatly reduced the pressure on commanders.
Snowy Smoke Pavilion and Sword Pavilion together have almost three thousand members.
The Outer Gate System has been abolished.
Mu Qingxue is preparing to turn Snowy Smoke Pavilion into an all-Elite guild.
As for the slackers or those with low strength, they’re being sent to the Sub Guild.
A monthly salary of one thousand.
The Tianxiang Pavilion proposal by Mu Qingxue is being implemented by Chen Xiaoyan as well. She’s preparing to nurture those Tianxiang Players among the scenery enthusiasts and those with low combat power.
But the progress isn’t great.
Some scenery enthusiasts refused, saying they don’t play games for fighting and killing.
Those with lower combat power were more agreeable, and most accepted Chen Xiaoyan’s invitation.
There were twenty-eight people in total, plus Xianyun, Chongchong, herself, and the thirteen original Tianxiang Players from Snowy Smoke Pavilion.
Tianxiang Pavilion now has forty-four members, nearly half of all the Tianxiang Players are here.
The rest either don’t want to fight and just want to travel and enjoy the scenery, or they’ve already joined other guilds.
Today, coming to Wudang Mountain to find Liu Yue wasn’t just about taking Sword Pavilion members to run dungeons, but also to talk about the Sword Pavilion’s Tianxiang Players.
Although Sword Pavilion doesn’t have as many Tianxiang Players as Snowy Smoke Pavilion, there are still a few.
“Xiao Yue.”
The two of them made their way to Liu Yue’s small courtyard, pushed open the fence, and walked in.
Over a hundred people were standing in the courtyard, already waiting there. When they saw Chen Xiaoyan arrive, they all came forward to greet her.
“Xiaoyan Boss, good morning!”
“A living legend, I really want to latch onto your leg!”
“Ying ying ying, I finally got lucky in the lottery today!”
Both Snowy Smoke Pavilion and Sword Pavilion have more than a thousand people each.
Even if you work yourself to death, there’s no way to take everyone along.
So, Chen Xiaoyan only leads one guild per day, with the number capped at around a hundred people.
Today was Sword Pavilion’s turn.
Chen Xiaoyan smiled and nodded at them, “Hello, everyone. Please listen to instructions during the dungeon run, I don’t have any other requests.”
“Don’t worry, Boss, if you say go east, I’ll never go west!”
“And who are you? As long as Xiaoyan Boss gives the word, I’d eat shit if she asked.”
“Ew, bro, you’re disgusting.”
“Nonsense, if I’m not disgusting, how would you know I’m obedient and listen well?”
Liu Yue pushed open the wooden door of the hut, glanced at Chen Xiaoyan surrounded by the crowd, and smiled with her lips pressed together.
“Xiaoyan, all the slackers are here today.”
The Sword Pavilion players in the courtyard weren’t offended at all.
After all, today they really were the slackers.
“Guild Leader, you’re exposing our true nature so directly—it’s really embarrassing!”
“+1”
“+66”
“Actually, we’re quite strong, how could we be slackers, right everyone?”
“Right!”
“In that case, I’ll have Xiaoyan go to Snowy Smoke Pavilion, and you all can run the dungeon by yourselves. The strong don’t need to be carried.”
“Uh—” The expressions on the group’s faces froze instantly.
“Ahem, I think being a slacker is pretty good.”
“Who doesn’t?”
The atmosphere grew a little awkward. Over a hundred people looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
At that moment, Chen Xiaoyan shook her head and spoke.
Liu Yue isn’t really this kind of person. She definitely has another reason for acting like this.
“Xiao Yue, stop teasing them. I have something to talk to you about.”
“Come inside.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Liu Yue turned and walked into the house.
“Everyone, teleport to Jinyang County and wait for us, we’ll be there soon.”
“Okay, Xiaoyan Boss!”
“If it weren’t for Xiaoyan Boss, I’d probably have missed my chance to clear the dungeon this time. The Guild Leader really means what she says.”
“Boss, if you need anything, just call me. I’ll come right away.”
“Me too.”
Chen Xiaoyan has her feet in both guilds. She’s originally from Snowy Smoke Pavilion but is now helping to manage Sword Pavilion. Some Sword Pavilion members don’t say anything, but deep down, they have their doubts.
Liu Yue is helping her win people over with this.
Chen Xiaoyan could only accept it with helpless resignation.
She really didn’t know what this girl was thinking. To trust her so much—aren’t you worried I’ll steal your thunder someday?
“No need to call me Boss, just call me Sister Xiaoyan.”
“Then, Sister Xiaoyan Boss?”
Chen Xiaoyan shot that player a glare.
“Pfft… if you keep joking like that, be careful Sister Xiaoyan cuts off your healing during the run.”
“No way, no way, Sister Xiaoyan wouldn’t hold a grudge against a little kid like me.”
“Wow, a twenty-year-old little kid.”
“It’s none of your business.”
Inside the house.
Player homes are pretty much all the same—simple and plain.
But Liu Yue’s place had a few extra potted plants, placed by the window.
“If you have something to say, you could just PM me. Why come in person?”
Chen Xiaoyan smiled calmly, walked to the window, and played with the green leaves of the plant for a while before turning back. “Just figured I’d say it while I was here.”
“Say what?”
Liu Yue sat on the wooden bed, holding a bronze mirror and looking at herself from all angles.
Chen Xiaoyan walked over and sat beside her, “Xiao Yue, doesn’t Sword Pavilion have nine Tianxiang Players?”
“Yeah, what about them?”
“It’s nothing. You should know Qingxue started another Tianxiang Pavilion, and only Tianxiang Players are allowed in.”
Liu Yue put the bronze mirror into her bag and turned to look at her with a touch of resentment.
“Xiaoyan, are you trying to poach my Tianxiang babies from Sword Pavilion?”
“Well… that’s exactly what I mean,” Chen Xiaoyan bit her lip gently, nodded, and didn’t deny it—she admitted it directly.
Upon hearing this, a trace of sadness flickered in Liu Yue’s eyes.
But even more, there was a chill.
The chill wasn’t aimed at Chen Xiaoyan, but at Mu Qingxue.
Mu Qingxue, Mu Qingxue, so you’re using her as your pawn.
You’re gambling on whether I’ll soften up or not?
If I agree, Sword Pavilion’s strength will drop a lot.
If I don’t, Xiaoyan will probably have some complaints about me.
How cunning.
No matter whether I agree or not, you won’t lose out.
