Looking at the scene of utter chaos, Liami finally came to her senses.
She had wanted to ask Colin why he had used such overwhelming forceโafter all, if he had just coordinated attacks with Lavinia and Seffni, they could have quickly taken down their opponents.
But seeing the expressionless look on Colinโs face, Liami swallowed the question she was about to voice.
Colin, noticing Liamiโs gaze on him, quickly returned to his usual composure.
He immediately came over to Liamiโs side and carefully examined her injuries.
โDonโt look so worried. Itโs just a minor wound. Let Eireno treat it, and youโll be fine. No need to be so tense.โ
Liami showed the cut on her left shoulder, then pushed Colinโs hand away when he reached out to touch it.
She then pulled the dazed Eireno over, hoping she would quickly cast her healing divine magic.
Eireno snapped back to reality when Liami tugged at her and began praying to the โHoly Light.โ
Soon, the wound on Liamiโs left shoulder started to rapidly close.
It looked like in no time, it would be as if she had never been hurt.
However, at that moment, Seffni swiftly interrupted Eirenoโs prayer and pulled out a small knife from who-knows-where, stabbing it again into the nearly healed wound on Liamiโs shoulder.
โHiss! Seffni, what are you doing?โ
Liami gasped sharply, not prepared for the sudden pain, glaring at Seffni with annoyance.
Seffni, however, replied with an exasperated tone.
โWhat am I doing? Iโm helping you! You donโt want that thing stuck in your left shoulder forever, do you?โ
With that, Seffni used the knife to pick out an iron ball from Liamiโs shoulder woundโthe true culprit behind Liamiโs condition.
Seeing this, Liami wisely shut up and waited quietly as Seffni removed the iron ball.
Eireno, who had her prayer interrupted, anxiously apologized beside her.
โI-Iโm sorry! I completely forgot that thing was still inside you! Really, Iโm so sorry!โ
Seeing Eirenoโs flustered state, Liami didnโt get angry. Instead, she reassured her gently, saying she didnโt mind at all.
It was strangeโLiami was the one injured, and Eireno was treating her, yet now the wounded Liami was comforting the healer. The scene carried an odd, almost reversed feeling.
Colin, watching this, wanted to say something but hesitated, not wanting to disturb their treatment.
In the end, he gave up and, along with Lavinia, went to stand guard, keeping watch over their surroundings.
Thanks to Liamiโs soft reassurances, Eireno calmed down and resumed the healing.
With her prayers rising again, Liamiโs wound healed quickly.
By the end, only a ticklish sensation remained where the injury had been, and her left shoulder looked perfectly normalโas if never hurt.
โThank you, Eireno!โ
After thanking her, Liami walked over to Colin, who was talking with Seffni and Lavinia, not noticing the melancholy look in Eirenoโs eyes behind her.
โWhat are you all talking about?โ
Liami approached them, wanting to catch the details of their conversation.
Seeing Liami healed, Colin invited her and Eireno to come over and listen to his latest discovery.
โAre you okay? The woundโs completely healed?โ
Before getting to the main point, Colin checked on Liami.
She scoffed a little. โOf course itโs healed. It was just a scratch. I wouldnโt be scared even without divine magic treatment! Not to mention, Eireno already healed it. Even if you donโt trust me, you should trust her!โ
Liami shifted the topic to Eireno, but Eireno looked listless.
Faced with Liamiโs praise, Eireno only gave a faint smile, then said nothing more.
Seeing this, not only Liami and Colin, but even Seffni and Lavinia noticed something was off.
Though Eireno was usually quiet and low-profile, she wouldnโt normally show such an expression at a time like this.
She must be troubled by something.
Colin furrowed his brow slightly.
He gave the others a look, silently instructing them not to bring up the topic now.
He planned to talk to her privately during their next break.
No one opposed the idea; after all, it was Colinโs duty as team leader to help his members adjust their mental state.
Of course, if Colin faced any difficulties, they would immediately step in to help.
Leaving that aside, Colin began to share his recent findings.
โJust now, when I used โHoly Light Sanctionโ against those โBronzeโ armored soldiers, I noticed something unusual.โ
โWhat kind of unusual?โ
Seffni asked curiously, eager to know what had made Colin so serious.
โI discovered that those โBronzeโ armored soldiers might actually fear the divine magic of โHoly Light.โโ
Everyone present was momentarily stunned.
Then Lavinia asked incredulously, โYouโre saying theyโre afraid of โHoly Lightโ magic? Do you have any proof? Could they actually be undead?โ
Unexpectedly, Colin nodded firmly after hearing her offhand suggestion.
โThatโs definitely possible. Actually, Iโd say very likely! When I cast โHoly Light Sanction,โ I could clearly feel the pressure my swordโs light had on those โBronzeโ armored soldiers. They instinctively stopped resisting when I swung my blade.โ
โAre you sure itโs not just because youโre too strong? Your swordโs light is scary enough on its own.โ
Liami offered her speculation, though she hoped Colin was rightโif so, their path ahead would be much easier.
But for now, it was only a possibility, not something to conclude lightly.
Seeing Liami and the others skeptical, Colin didnโt press further.
After all, this was just a fleeting impression heโd gotten. It was naturally hard to get everyoneโs belief immediately.
Still, Colin didnโt give up.
He proposed that next time they encountered those โBronzeโ armored soldiers, Eireno should try casting the โHoly Lightโ divine magic on them.
If that could suppress the โBronzeโ soldiers like before, it would prove Colinโs theory rightโnot just because he was powerful, but because one of their weaknesses was indeed the โHoly Lightโ magic.
Since Colin was this confident, everyone reluctantly agreed to try it.
Liami sincerely hoped Colinโs guess was correct, so things could get easier.
While Colin discussed the plausibility of this theory with everyone, Eireno quietly clenched her staff, looking tense and worried.
Her expression did not escape Liamiโs notice.
Liami narrowed her eyes, an idea slowly forming in her mind.
