The teammates in the squad, upon hearing Li Xu’s pleasant and confident voice, all instantly became self-assured.
“Alright, alright, let’s all go up for Sheriff later. I’ll take the lead.”
“I’m always good at reverse-baiting, I’ll set up for the Prophet to be taken out.”
The two teammates said so much, but Li Xu just responded with a simple “Mm,” and said, “Just play as you see fit.”
The more indifferent her tone was, the more unfathomable she seemed.
Vidong and Li Xu were still connected on mic.
Nighttime communication ended. Although the teammates could no longer hear Li Xu, Vidong still could.
Werewolf Kill is a game about hunting werewolves.
There are twelve players in total, and each player receives a role card at the start of the game.
The twelve players are split into two camps: the Werewolf camp and the Good camp.
The Werewolf camp consists of four Werewolves, who open their eyes at night, can see each other’s identities, and can vote—choosing any player in the game to kill.
The Good camp is made up of four Villagers and four Special Roles.
Villagers have no abilities. The Special Roles each have their own skills.
After all the players in the Good camp finish their speeches during the day, they can choose to exile a player. The one with the most votes is exiled.
If all the Werewolves are eliminated, the Good camp wins.
If all the Villagers or all the Special Roles are killed, the Werewolves win.
About the Special Roles—the Prophet can check a player’s identity every night and reveal it to the Good camp during the day.
The Witch has one poison and one antidote, the poison can kill, the antidote can save, and if she hasn’t used the antidote, she can see who the Werewolves attack each night, but she cannot use the antidote to save herself.
The Hunter, if killed at night or exiled, can shoot and take down another player at random; the last Special Role is the Fool—if exiled, the Fool can reveal their card to prove their identity and remain in the game.
About claiming Prophet—before the first day begins, there’s a Sheriff election. The True Prophet proves their identity through speeches to compete for Sheriff and the badge.
To avoid being at a disadvantage, the Werewolf team will also claim Prophet, reporting their first night’s check and giving their Sheriff Badge order (telling everyone in what order they’ll check players, usually two; if the Prophet is killed after checking, the badge can be passed to a Good player they checked).
Those who don’t run for Sheriff are called “off-Sheriff” players, and those who do are “on-Sheriff” players. The unwritten rule in Werewolf Kill is that the Prophet must go for Sheriff.
The player with the most votes becomes Sheriff, who has 1.5 votes and can choose the speaking order, and can speak last, guiding the final vote.
Because of the strict order and time limits for speeches (each person gets 120 seconds, Sheriff gets 150), the Werewolf can choose to Self-Explosion during their speech—immediately revealing their identity and exiting the game.
After Self-Explosion, players who haven’t spoken yet can’t speak, the day’s vote is canceled, and night falls—the Werewolf team continues to kill.
After reading and understanding all this, Zhou Yi and Xu Min not only grasped what Li Xu meant by claiming Prophet, but also patiently explained it to the Livestream Room audience.

On Li Xu’s side, there were also many viewers unfamiliar with the rules of Werewolf Kill, so while she wasn’t speaking in-game, Li Xu was also giving a concise introduction to the gameplay for the viewers.
On the first day, as expected, all members of the Werewolf team raised their hands for Sheriff.
And, as luck would have it, Li Xu was the last to speak.
But the True Prophet was the first to claim, and—again, as luck would have it—directly accused Li Xu, the last speaker, of being a Werewolf.
The True Prophet spoke confidently and energetically. Clicking on his avatar, you could see he’d played many games and had a high rank.
After he finished speaking, the second player to speak immediately declared their support for the True Prophet.
In Werewolf Kill, the average player only listens to about thirty percent logic—the other seventy percent just follows the crowd or goes by feeling. Whoever sounds good—they’ll follow.
Sure enough, after the second player finished, everyone else started siding with the True Prophet.
Even the teammate who said they’d take the lead began to analyze Li Xu as a Werewolf—everyone was convinced Li Xu was a Werewolf.
Without the right perspective or airtight logic, all they could do was suspect Li Xu—because in this game, the odd one out gets killed.
At this moment, Vidong got anxious: “What do you think? Should I claim Prophet to save you?”
Li Xu’s speaking position was very disadvantageous, and she was likely to be pegged as a Werewolf who claims Prophet to cover for a teammate after being checked.
Li Xu stared at the screen, her expression calm.
“No need, just speak normally, don’t try to save me.
“Number 5 and Number 7 have roles, keep an eye on them.”
“Number 8’s speech was off, he was too single-minded in his analysis, and got Number 1’s Sheriff Badge order wrong. Point it out directly, make it clear you’re not on his side. Later, I’ll put him in the Wolf Pit.”
Hearing this, Vidong was stunned. While his mind was still racing, Li Xu seemed to have already figured out everyone’s roles and relationships.
“Is this hand-holding level teaching?” Vidong scratched his head, looking a bit goofy, like a little brother well protected by his big sister. “So, who are you going to give an identity to later?”
Li Xu thought for a moment: “Just speak well, I’ll give you Gold Water.”
In Werewolf Kill, Gold Water refers to a player the Prophet has checked and confirmed as Good, while Silver Water is a player saved by the Witch—usually considered half-cleared as Good, since Werewolves rarely attack their own, so the saved player is likely Good.
Vidong: “Huh?”
Seeing Vidong a little flustered, Li Xu couldn’t help but smile: “What’s there to be afraid of? With me here, your Gold Water identity is the highest in the game, except for me.”
It was the first time Vidong had been protected like this. Eyes wide with anticipation, he let out a soft “Ah.”
Li Xu raised an eyebrow: “That’s not enough? Fine, I’ll make my speech even stronger, make you the highest identity in the whole game.”
Her words carried a quiet confidence. The phrase “highest identity in the game” seemed to cast a bking aura over all three Livestream Rooms, and it was incredibly convincing.
Vidong’s eyes widened again. It was his first time encountering such a confident female player.
He’d claimed Prophet before, and for a Werewolf, claiming Prophet is all about lying to win everyone’s trust, putting on a fake identity, and lying from start to finish.
Actually, Vidong didn’t really like playing Werewolf, because lying felt weird to him.
So every time he played Werewolf, he’d be a bit timid. Only when playing Good could he speak righteously.
He checked Li Xu’s game history and found she’d only played a dozen or so matches—most several seasons ago, and her win rate wasn’t visible.
He felt doubtful, but Li Xu’s air of absolute confidence boosted his morale.
Even though support was overwhelmingly on the True Prophet’s side—could she really turn the tables?
“Alright, since you’ve said that, I’ll make sure to speak well too.
“But I heard a few people in front are pretty stubborn—it might not be easy.”
Vidong didn’t sound too optimistic. Li Xu just replied, “Don’t worry, just play your game.”
After their exchange, it was soon Vidong’s turn to speak.
Vidong translated Li Xu’s points into his own words. With Li Xu’s attitude as his anchor, he spoke with remarkable composure, his logic flawless.
Vidong’s voice had a youthful quality, and when he spoke earnestly, it was very pleasant to listen to.
So after Vidong finished, the next speaker, a young lady, immediately said, “I think Number 10’s speech was spot on.”
“For me, that’s explosive Water, and after hearing him, I don’t think Number 1 is necessarily the True Prophet—because I can’t find Number 12’s Werewolf teammate.”
Explosive Water means a speech that clearly sounds like a Good player.
With that performance, Vidong couldn’t help but smile, his lips curling up like an AK.
He completely forgot the pain of being taken out by the Hunter as Witch in the last game.
Even the Livestream Room viewers were stunned by his flawless speech.
【Damn, first time seeing Vidong play Werewolf without being timid】
【Baby, you’ve grown up, you’re now a boy who can lie with a straight face】
【Feels like Vidong was really encouraged by Maoxu, his back was straight during his speech】
【Is this really the vv I know who always gets voted out as a wolf?】
【Maoxu’s encouragement is something else】
【Let’s turn the game around!】
“Great speech, nothing to pick at.”
Li Xu praised Vidong too, but her praise didn’t sound like flattery—more like a boss’s evaluation, sending tingles down your spine.
Vidong was feeling great, but after Li Xu’s praise, he got a bit embarrassed.
“Looking forward to your speech, my Great Prophet.”
Vidong even joked in a rare good mood, getting a little “social.” The Great Prophet he mentioned means the Great Prophet, his heartfelt way of saying she’s the only True Prophet in his eyes.
This reaction was both unexpected and totally within the viewers’ expectations.
Vidong was just a fun-loving kid, and when things went well in-game, he’d joke around at the drop of a hat.
Li Xu didn’t change at all because of Vidong’s flattery. She pushed up her sunglasses and spat out two words: “Just wait.”
【“Just wait”】
Because Li Xu’s tone was so cocky, the words “Just wait” instantly flooded all three Livestream Rooms.
And right alongside it, another phrase kept popping up: “I’m waiting.”
