Chapter 10: Artificial Little Angel

Su An felt that Gu Yu was likely a good person and someone she could trust.

Or rather, as long as there was a high probability that Gu Yu was a kindhearted person, she was willing to gamble on the patience and kindness of a “good person.”

She had no choice.

Since Gu Yu was her buyer and Master, she was destined to never be able to ignore the woman’s attitude.

Su An slept until she woke up naturally.

Noticing the sunlight filtering through the treetops outside the window, she was suddenly startled.

“Oh no, I’m going to be late!”

Her memory module slowly surfaced, and she tapped her head, saying despondently, ‘I’ve already… died.’

Wearing pink pajamas, she stepped lightly onto the carpet with bare feet, leaving small imprints as she cautiously explored this seemingly luxurious room.

There were some technologies she didn’t understand, but the exquisite and intricate decorations and hangings clearly weren’t simple.

She suspected any of them could cost more than her life.

She pressed her ear against the bedroom door but heard no movement.

‘Did she go to work?’

She opened a tiny crack in the door, and a bit of noise drifted in from the living room.

Had she slipped up somewhere?

Had she shown any signs of being dangerous?

Su An’s breathing momentarily became rapid.

She forced herself to suppress the fear in her heart and continued listening.

She skipped some of the conversation, but it didn’t matter.

Su An looked back through her memory and found that the visitor was talking about an incident where a Deviant Android had harmed someone.

“Another incident?”

Gu Yu frowned.

“Yes, Ms. Gu.”

A flicker of worry crossed the man’s face, but he quickly concealed it, saying, “It happened early this morning. But rest assured, our bureau has handled it properly.”

“So, what is this about now?”

“We noticed that there is an android under your name as well, Ms. Gu. For the sake of your property and personal safety, we suggest finding a time when you are free, and we will have a specialist come over to help with testing.”

“No need…”

Gu Yu instinctively wanted to refuse.

She didn’t really want her little angel to see other people.

But then she remembered the warnings her mother had given her many times, as well as the small glitches her little angel had.

After thinking it over, she said, “Then make an appointment for tonight.”

Footsteps approached from a distance.

Su An didn’t have time to be sad.

She hurried up, patter patter patter, and got back into bed to pretend to be asleep.

Gu Yu opened the door.

Seeing An’an’s cute sleeping face, she couldn’t help but smile slightly.

“Time to get up, little lazybones.”

“Mm, huh? Sister Gu Yu?”

Su An pretended she had just woken up.

“Change your clothes. We’re getting ready to go to the company.”

Gu Yu was sorting through the wardrobe.

Su An’s pupils shrank, but luckily, Gu Yu had her back turned to her and couldn’t see.

She had originally wanted to wait until Gu Yu went to work and then sneak away, but it seemed that plan was no longer viable.

She could only obediently change into a gorgeous white dress, cosplaying as a little princess escaping from Disney.

Su An really felt this outfit was too childish, making her look like some kind of primary school student.

But Gu Yu liked this aesthetic, and she had no say in the matter.

Without waiting for Gu Yu to finish changing, Su An walked downstairs in her small leather shoes, appearing very restless.

Gu Yu smiled and shook her head, not minding the active “child.”

After all, she was the one who had added the “Sunny” trait to An’an’s personality.

Su An held her breath as she reached the first floor.

Her eyes quickly darted toward the front door.

Sure enough, the restriction that forbade her from leaving the house had disappeared.

‘Could it be… could it be…’

Unable to help herself, Su An ran forward and opened the door.

Sunlight and the air of freedom poured over her.

Su An opened her arms, soaking it in.

‘I’m free!’

Okay, she was joking.

There were still high, white walls outside.

But looking at the emerald green lawn, Su An felt a strange urge to step on it.

“Come back.”

Gu Yu grabbed Su An just as she was about to run onto the grass.

There was dirt under the grass, and Gu Yu didn’t want her white little angel to be stained by dirty soil—not even the soles of her shoes, which were meant for walking on the ground.

She had a bit of a perfectionist streak.

Su An nodded.

Trampling the lawn wasn’t good anyway, even if it was her own.

She just hadn’t been able to control herself for some reason.

Just as she was about to step onto the main path, a force suddenly came from her waist and abdomen.

Su An blinked and realized she had been picked up by Gu Yu.

“Be careful not to get your dress dirty,” Gu Yu explained, though it didn’t sound very convincing.

Su An originally wanted to get down—this was too embarrassing, she really was being treated like a little girl—but then she remembered the Abnormal Android Disposal Bureau’s visit this morning and stopped struggling.

She couldn’t let any abnormalities be discovered.

Sister Gu Yu just wanted a doll to keep her company; what was so wrong with that?

‘But why is her hand on my leg?’

Being held, Su An frowned slightly.

She felt that the hand Gu Yu was using to hold her was naturally resting on her thigh, and she couldn’t really find a reason to complain.

‘Maybe she just touched it by accident.’

Su An thought to herself.

Perhaps it was Gu Yu’s gentlemanly behavior from the previous night that had deceived her into thinking the woman was just lonely.

After getting into the car, Gu Yu naturally pulled Su An into her lap.

Su An felt very awkward and a bit uncomfortable, but she still didn’t struggle.

Her eyes noticed something under the dress…

Originally, Su An didn’t want to care, but for some reason, she felt her body become inexplicably restless.

She lifted herself slightly, shifting positions on Gu Yu’s thighs and tugging at her collar.

Gu Yu had nothing to do, so she casually adjusted the Thigh Sensitivity to 3.

This immediately made Su An feel uncomfortable, but she didn’t even know why she felt that way, because…
