Lian Ge flicked her hand, and a few water droplets condensed from the air, pinched between her fingers like glass marbles.
This was inspiration stolen from the earlier fight against that slime-type Demon Beast.
Caught off guard at the time, Lian Ge later thought about it more and more and felt this move was really convenient, so she learned it.
Compared to traditional Water Blades, the droplet form had lower consumption, was so small it was nearly invisible, and was unbelievably fast.
After tinkering for a few nights, she picked up the move and made it her own.
Lian Ge raised her hand and flung the droplets between her fingers.
They were so fast they blurred into lines in her vision, curving in arcs to attack Zhi Jin from all directions.
Seeing such an assault, Zhi Jin still stood in place, nodding and pinching her chin as she watched the droplets hurtling toward her.
Yet she didn’t retreat an inch.
And her calm wasn’t unfounded.
The droplets stopped less than a few inches from her body, suspended in midair, trembling slightly but unable to advance any further.
Lian Ge was puzzled.
What exactly was her ability?
She was incredibly strong, and now she could even repel her water droplets…
Lian Ge recalled the self-introduction Zhi Jin had given last time at the factory.
She’d said her concept was “Sharing,” that she could extract Magic Power by sharing the Healing concept of patients…
But in actual combat, how would that “Sharing” work?
Lian Ge watched her warily, temporarily refraining from attacking.
Zhi Jin maintained that pose of pinching her chin, then copied Lian Ge by opening her palm, condensing droplets identical to Lian Ge’s between her fingers.
‘She can do that too?’
Lian Ge furrowed her brow, but quickly relaxed.
The answer was obvious.
Zhi Jin’s droplets flew toward Lian Ge, even matching the curved trajectories Lian Ge had spent so long perfecting.
Lian Ge quickly waved her hand to deflect the incoming droplets, then said calmly to her:
“Your ability is to ‘share’ my ability, isn’t it?”
“That’s right. I’ve already synchronized your ability… You can’t possibly defeat me anymore.”
Zhi Jin seemed unconcerned about revealing her own information.
Discovering her ability only made her more confident.
“That’s not necessarily true…”
Lian Ge took a deep breath.
A dazzling blue fluorescent light erupted from her body, continuously filling the entire room.
The dense Magic Power made the atmosphere heavy.
Seeing the pressure Lian Ge released, Zhi Jin showed no fear on her face.
She simply raised her hand, took off her nurse’s cap, and tossed it behind her casually.
Her pink short hair flew back in the wind stirred by the surging Magic Power, but she didn’t step back.
Her legs stood firmly in the center of the warehouse entrance.
Ripples spread beneath Lian Ge’s feet.
Water seeped from the ground, quickly rising from a trickling stream to a surface that covered her feet.
The entire arena was under her control.
But she didn’t rush to attack.
First, she manipulated the water to flow behind her, lifting the collapsed shelves and the cardboard boxes and bottles crushing Feng Ling, one by one.
After carefully digging Feng Ling out, a gentle current of water pushed against her back, helping the stumbling girl stand up.
Feng Ling hadn’t lost consciousness.
The spot on her waist where she’d been kicked still throbbed painfully.
She clutched her side, about to say something vengeful, but Lian Ge spoke first:
“Feng Ling, pull back. I’m afraid I’ll hit you by accident.”
“Fine. I’ll watch your show.”
Feng Ling clutched her side and flew up, sitting on a steel beam high in the warehouse.
She’d watch Lian Ge perform for now.
Lian Ge waved her hand.
The water level rose instantly, covering both their ankles.
The entire warehouse floor turned into a shallow pool, the water shimmering under the blue Magic Light.
Lian Ge’s strategy was straightforward.
This pink-haired woman might have gained the exact same Magic attribute through her Sharing ability, but there was a noticeable pause every time before she released a skill.
That meant she could synchronize Magic Power, but the synchronized information took time to process.
Otherwise, it would be unusable.
So Lian Ge would go all out from the start, hitting her with the highest intensity and fastest frequency of continuous attacks, giving her no time to think about the abilities she’d stolen.
That way, Lian Ge could suppress her.
Lian Ge raised her hand.
A wave as tall as two people surged up from the water, crashing down on Zhi Jin like a collapsing wall.
Zhi Jin indeed paused, trying to analyze Lian Ge’s manipulation of the wave…
But the wave was so fast she couldn’t replicate the move tit for tat; she had to defend for now.
Still, since she had “Water” concept Magic Power, Zhi Jin only needed to deflect all objects with the “Water” concept, just as she had with the droplets earlier.
The water wave rushed toward Zhi Jin.
She used the Magic Power synchronized from Lian Ge to isolate it, forming a spherical transparent Barrier around herself that separated all water elements nearby.
The wave slammed into the Barrier, forcibly splitting into two streams that flowed around Zhi Jin, hammering the warehouse door behind her with loud bangs.
But the ground inside the Barrier remained dry; not a single drop leaked through.
Zhi Jin breathed a sigh of relief inside the Barrier and was about to look through the water wall to see where Lian Ge would attack next.
Lian Ge didn’t care.
Even though the wave was blocked, she kept applying pressure to the Barrier’s exterior.
More and more water piled up on the sphere’s surface, pressing against the transparent Barrier.
Zhi Jin was barely managing to maintain the Barrier and couldn’t escape from within.
Still, Lian Ge’s consumption of Magic Power while maintaining such impact force must be greater than hers, so Zhi Jin felt no offensive pressure.
“I’ve synchronized your Magic Power limit too. At this rate, you’ll run out first,” Zhi Jin taunted, trying to disrupt her actions.
But Lian Ge had never intended to fight a war of attrition.
While pressurizing the water wave, she raised her other hand.
Blue Magic Power spread from her palm, silently seeping through the water layer and onto Zhi Jin’s Barrier.
As a dual-attribute Magical Girl, Lian Ge didn’t merely have Water Magic.
She gradually output another concept’s Magic Power, which wasn’t blocked by the Barrier designed to repel the “Water” concept.
Zhi Jin didn’t notice this “harmless” Magic Power at all.
Lian Ge steadily pushed her own Magic Power forward, soon penetrating the Barrier’s inner wall without alarming Zhi Jin, directly connecting to Zhi Jin’s body.
Chapter 45: Magical Clash
Now she would end the fight in a single blow.
