June 20th, 9:00 AM.
Chen Xiaoyan and two big men with flat-top haircuts boarded the plane, heading straight for Kyo City.
On the plane, she kept scrutinizing these two men with flat-top haircuts wearing short-sleeved shirts and beach shorts.
‘Wearing sunglasses and an earpiece, afraid people won’t realize you’re not ordinary, huh?’
‘So unprofessional.’
She silently complained to herself, then put on an eye mask and fell asleep.
Flying from Qingzhou to Kyo City takes one to two hours. With nothing to do, she could only pass the time by sleeping.
However, what she didn’t know was that a conspiracy was closely following.
The plane had just taken off.
Several men in economy class unbuckled their seat belts, put on Ultraman masks, and walked toward the cockpit.
A female flight attendant saw them, froze for a moment, then immediately ran over to block them.
“The plane has taken off. For safety reasons, please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts as soon as possible.”
The men exchanged glances and smirked slightly.
They walked up to the flight attendant, wrapped an arm around her neck. She instinctively tried to resist, but immediately felt a cold dagger pressed against her waist.
“For your own safety, I suggest you don’t scream, otherwise this knife will draw blood.”
The man sneered as he leaned close to her ear and whispered the threat.
The flight attendant turned pale with fear. She looked down at the grooved dagger, and her legs went weak, starting to tremble.
She never thought that in Huaguo, the country with the highest safety coefficient in the world, a hijacking could occur. Unfortunately, she was now part of it.
She cried.
‘No! I just got married. I haven’t even enjoyed the beauty of marriage, and now I’m going to die like this?’
‘Do I have to be this unlucky?’
“Let’s go. Take us to the cockpit.”
The flight attendant gritted her teeth and walked step by step slowly toward the cockpit. She was still young and didn’t want to die.
As for the consequences of going to the cockpit, she didn’t care.
‘Are you kidding? If I lose my life, why would I care about consequences?’
“Okay, okay, I’ll take you there. Don’t kill me.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t kill anyone. As long as you do as I say, you’ll be safe.”
Hearing that this terrorist didn’t want to cause casualties, the flight attendant breathed a sigh of relief. At least her life was safe, no matter what.
On the way, they encountered other flight attendants, and in the end, both were taken hostage.
The male flight attendants were knocked out and thrown into the restroom, leaving only the easily controlled female flight attendants.
They looked at the first flight attendant with bewildered expressions, their eyes seemingly blaming her for not warning them.
‘Warn them?’
She curled her lips.
‘Are you kidding? I guarantee that if I had yelled, that knife would have stabbed into my kidney. It’s not my fault.’
Meanwhile, the passengers on the plane saw this scene but didn’t realize the danger. They thought it was some kind of impromptu performance and instead watched with great interest.
Because Huaguo’s security is famously strong worldwide; it protects its people too well.
“A hijacking?”
“That’s ancient history from decades ago.”
So the passengers instinctively assumed this was some kind of show and didn’t associate it with a hijacking.
The group arrived not far outside the cockpit.
Due to the frequent occurrence of hijackings worldwide, countries have upgraded the safety level of aircraft cockpits by several grades.
Except for the captain and co-pilot’s passwords and fingerprints, no one can open the cockpit door.
The only way in is to use the wall-mounted intercom to notify those inside to open the door.
“Go over there and tell them to open the door. Remember, don’t say anything wrong. I believe you’re all smart people. We don’t want casualties, so you’d better not force us.”
“Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.”
Faced with the man’s threat, the several female flight attendants nodded frantically in terror.
The several men stood behind them. Seeing the camera above the cockpit door, they immediately crouched down, using the female flight attendants’ bodies to block the camera’s view.
Then, one of the female flight attendants stepped forward, pressed the intercom, and told the cockpit that a passenger was causing trouble and needed the captain to mediate.
The captain never expected that someone in Huaguo would be bold enough to hijack a plane, so he didn’t suspect the flight attendant’s words. He let the co-pilot take over temporarily, planning to go out and mediate before returning.
As soon as he opened the door, the captain was about to ask what happened when he suddenly saw several masked men rushing from behind the flight attendants.
The captain reacted quickly. He snapped out of his shock in an instant and tried to turn back into the cockpit, but unfortunately, he was a step too slow. He was grabbed by the collar of his shirt and dragged out. Then, the whole group crowded into the cockpit.
The co-pilot was completely terrified. Fortunately, there was autopilot, otherwise, a crash with no survivors would have been certain.
“I say, brothers, you don’t know where this is, do you?”
After being subdued, the captain remained expressionless, straightened his clothes, and spoke calmly.
“Cut the crap. Now, do whatever I say. Don’t try any tricks, or else everyone on this plane will pay with their lives for your foolish actions.”
The captain’s expression changed, and he quickly shut his mouth.
Once the passengers were in trouble, even if it wasn’t his fault, his career as a captain would surely be over.
Seeing the captain become compliant, one of the masked men left the cockpit, took out a satellite phone, and dialed a number.
After it connected, he only said three words and hung up.
“Success.”
Two hours later.
Chen Xiaoyan groggily took off her eye mask and rubbed her eyes.
“Haven’t we arrived yet?” she asked doubtfully.
“Miss Chen, there’s a problem.”
The two bodyguards had been looking out the window. They noticed the plane was circling; otherwise, by now they would have already arrived at Kyo City.
“What’s the problem?” Chen Xiaoyan was confused.
They didn’t answer. They took out their phones and saw there was still a bit of signal. They quickly sent a text message to their colleague.
The colleague then forwarded the message to San Yue Bu Xia Xue.
When she saw this message, she gasped.
‘If the Missy finds out that Xiaoyan Dalao might be in trouble, won’t she go crazy?’
San Yue Bu Xia Xue immediately told them to confirm the news before sending it again. The message was then forwarded back to the people on the plane.
The two pressed the call button on their seats, but no one came.
Only then did they realize the seriousness of the problem.
“Miss Chen, I’ll go check it out. Stay here and don’t move.”
One of them stayed behind to protect Chen Xiaoyan, while the other unbuckled his seat belt and prepared to go ask the flight attendants what was happening, since they hadn’t arrived at Kyo City Airport yet after so long. The first class cabin was closer to the cockpit; a few steps outside and he’d be there.
Along the way, the bodyguard saw no flight attendants, only passengers.
‘Strange, where are they?’
A group of passengers was gathered in front of the restroom door, discussing animatedly.
The bodyguard stepped closer to look. Seeing the two male flight attendants lying inside, his pupils contracted. He quickly pressed his earpiece to notify his colleague.
“Lao Yao, something’s wrong. There’s a hijacking. Get the message out quickly.”
He didn’t know what the hijackers were after, nor why they weren’t using signal jammers, but now the most important thing was to protect the target’s safety.
