“Stop getting aroused in front of me, you filthy magic monster! Homewrecker!”
In the sky, Lobelia was clearly the first to lose her composure.
The pink-haired cardinal witch now had a face like frost.
She swung her staff down fiercely, as if venting all the anger she had bottled up during this time onto this reckless demon.
But from the way she kept calling it a homewrecker and a bitch, Katy couldn’t help but feel Lobelia wasn’t just cursing the new Demon of Greed.
“Advanced Light Magic: Prism Light Rain!”
With Lobelia’s incantation, dozens of pink beams capable of smashing walls wove into an interception net in the air, screeching as they burned through the atmosphere and twisted toward the twin-tailed demon.
“My, my, big sister is so scary~ Is it because you’re old and hitting menopause?”
The demon giggled.
The bat wings on her back flapped violently, and her body moved like a ghost through the dense barrage.
As she moved, those two eye-catching lumps of fat shook wildly, making Katy on the ground twitch at the corners of her eyes.
‘I swear, can Kala Online’s physics engine not be this realistic?’
Katy was busy evacuating the terrified civilians—most of whom had only heard of demons in stories—while also keeping an eye on that successor to Mammon in the sky.
‘Heh, a small fry who invests mana in developing those useless fat deposits is just a small fry by nature. Not a match for this Seat.’
“Everyone, don’t panic! This way!”
Gray didn’t have leisure time to enjoy the duel between two pink-haired magic-wielding beauties of different races.
He was also busy evacuating the panicked crowd.
Somehow, he had acquired a guard uniform, which made his words much more convincing than Katy, the “frail” little priestess.
“Miss Katy, be careful! Don’t get separated!”
Gray turned around and saw the blonde girl nearly swept away by the crowd.
He reached out hurriedly and grabbed her wrist.
Feeling the warmth and strength on her wrist, Katy’s thoughts—which had been raging internally at the new Calamity Pillar—melted for a second.
She subconsciously looked at Gray’s focused profile, and a fleeting blush crossed her cheeks.
‘Hmph, he’s got some guts when it matters… even if he’s just a small fry who loves playing hero.’
Meanwhile, the battle in the sky had reached a fever pitch.
Lobelia, having failed to land a hit for so long, was clearly losing patience.
As a Church Cardinal, with the Saint and Saint Knight watching below, how could she tolerate being toyed with by a demon?
“A little light!”
Massive mana gathered before her, forming a destructive pillar of light ten meters thick.
“Superior Light Magic: Ultimate Flash!”
The terrifying beam tore through the atmosphere, carrying heat that could evaporate steel.
It precisely predicted the demon’s flight path and engulfed her small figure.
“Hmph. That’s what happens when you provoke me.”
Lobelia snorted, flicked her hair behind her ear, and curled a victorious smirk.
Her pink eyes didn’t forget to sweep across Katy standing beside Gray on the ground.
Their gazes met in the air for a few seconds before shifting away, each firmly believing their earlier judgment was correct.
Lobelia was convinced Katy’s identity was far from a simple village girl.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so calm seeing magic of this level.
Katy, in turn, believed that woman was ruthless and even had the potential to become a certain kingdom-destroying witch who apologized all the time.
“Such delicious mana, thanks for the meal, Auntie who copies my hair color.”
As the aftermath of Ultimate Flash dissipated, a mocking voice emerged from within.
Lobelia turned in shock.
The demon of greed walked out of her magic completely unharmed.
At that moment, she unzipped the black restraining suit on her abdomen.
Where there should have been a smooth, flat belly, a massive mouth lined with sharp teeth gaped open!
The light beam that could have destroyed half a block had been swallowed entirely by the belly mouth, causing no damage.
“Magic Devour… a demon’s Authority?”
Gray felt his scalp crawl at the sight of that stinking, drooling maw.
He instinctively pushed Katy further behind him.
Katy frowned, disgust flickering in her eyes.
‘So gross. I’m calling you Belly Mouth Demon from now on. Big-chested, brainless junior!’
“Let me introduce myself~”
The demon girl patted the terrifying mouth that had just been fed, zipped up her abdomen, tilted her head, and smiled at Gray below.
“That’s right, Righteous One. I am the Third Calamity Pillar of Greed, succeeding that useless old Mammon after his death.”
“Third Calamity Pillar?!”
Eve and Ingram both changed expressions.
It had been less than two hours since the Third Labyrinth hit deadlock, and a new Calamity Pillar had already been born?
And it had directly attacked the human heartland?
They knew that neither the Church with its collusive interests nor the Ministry of War with its factional infighting could replace a high-ranking vacancy so quickly.
But the Demon Race…
Every Calamity Pillar had a backup.
Either the death of the Demon of Greed was part of their plan!
“Since you’re a Great Demon, you should know about the Human-Demon Non-Aggression Treaty, right?”
Pushing aside those terrifying conjectures, Eve floated a few meters upward, her staff aimed at the sky.
Her voice, once gentle, turned cold enough to make even Katy feel she was a stranger.
“Unauthorized entry into a human city’s airspace and launching attacks above it—that’s a grave crime that could trigger a full-scale war!”
“Treaty?”
The new Calamity Pillar of Greed laughed as if she had heard a joke, clutching her stomach and shaking with mirth.
“Oh my, Saint sister, did you misunderstand something?”
“That treaty was signed by the Demon Lord and those old fossils, right?”
Her shrill laughter stopped abruptly.
Her pink vertical pupils gleamed with undisguised ambition and madness.
“I am a new Calamity Pillar.”
“What do the rules the previous generation agreed to have to do with me?”
“Heh. An arrogant brat who doesn’t know her limits.”
Ingram snorted, slamming his massive shield heavily onto the ground.
“Sage, take action!”
“Understood.”
No words were needed.
Their tacit coordination was ingrained in every move.
“Superior Holy Light Magic: Holy Blood Angel Sword!”
Eve and Ingram chanted in unison.
The Holy Shield that had been covering Knox City transformed in an instant into an attack formation.
Thousands of holy swords burst forth from golden light, as if to drown the demon that dared to invade alone.
Katy raised an eyebrow.
This was the most demon-warding holy light, a superior-tier spell released by both Saint and Saint Knight.
Even the Demon Lord would stagger if hit by this, let alone this arrogant newcomer.
Feeling the divine power that would surely explode her if she took it head-on, the pink-haired loli’s expression finally changed.
She was reckless but not stupid.
Her only goal was to confirm the Righteous One’s situation, not to fight to the death with humans.
“Tch. It’s an away game today, so I won’t play with you two big lightbulbs.”
She unzipped her belly clothes again.
The huge mouth bit into the air, tearing open a rift.
She turned into a pink streak and dove into it.
But just before disappearing entirely, she spun around in the air and blew a wink and a kiss toward Gray on the ground.
“See you later, cute Righteous One~”
“Next time we meet, I’ll eat you up cleanly~”
“GET LOST!!”
Lobelia, who had just recovered a bit of mana, was so furious she nearly crushed her staff.
She raised it and fired a light cannon, but it only hit a residual afterimage.
“Old-fashioned bishop causing trouble, meow.”
