Real Person Debut…
Debut.
Sitting in the car on the way back, even though the group chat had already exploded over this, Orange Quiet Forest didn’t really think too much about it.
Anyway, let’s just play some games first, meow meow!
Pushing open the door to her room, she scrambled to change into her most comfortable loose pajamas.
She grabbed the air conditioner remote control, turned the temperature straight down to the coldest 16 degrees, and pressed the power button on the computer tower.
whoosh
Accompanied by the low hum of the case fans, three high-end monitors arranged in a semicircle lit up simultaneously, dazzling RGB lights illuminating the girl’s incredibly beautiful face.
She put on her noise-canceling gaming headset, completely isolating herself from the real world, and began to enjoy the gaming time that belonged only to her.
Orange Quiet Forest had just resumed her studies this semester.
Now it happened to be right around the midterm exam period, so during the day she had to sit through a bunch of boring lectures at school.
After class, she had to rush straight to the company to attend the group’s singing and dance practice.
Occasionally, late at night, she’d squeeze in some time to review for the final exams of short-credit courses, as well as the midterms for her major courses.
With all that going on, Orange Quiet Forest barely had any time to play games anymore.
Except for a few online games she loved, and some games that required daily quests.
After all this rushing around, it was almost time to sleep.
Recently, life had been encroaching too much on her time, so even though gaming only took up a tiny portion of the day, it made Orange Quiet Forest feel exhausted, like she was working a job.
Because the daytime was already busy enough.
But Orange Quiet Forest still didn’t plan on giving up those games.
Since she had no time, she’d just sleep a little less.
Staying up late was bad for the skin, but it wasn’t like she did it often.
Take today, for example, meow meow!
Sunday, according to the original plan, she should have been cozily holed up in her gaming chair, playing games all day.
But because of that stupid dinner party, she had to waste three whole hours.
Sigh, let’s play some 101.
Orange Quiet Forest’s favorite thing was playing long-range champions.
There was this thrill of suppression.
She just loved clicking away like this, meow meow.
Watching the opposing short-range champion being kited to death, too scared to step forward and last hit, looking so miserable—Orange Quiet Forest’s mouth would curl up into a mean smile.
Constantly tormenting the opponent, meow meow.
As long as it felt good, that was all that mattered.
After finishing a match with a really satisfying tempo, Orange Quiet Forest let out a comfortable breath, feeling like all the fatigue from the meal was gone.
Even though it was a bit late…
Orange Quiet Forest looked at the time—just past midnight.
Normally, it was indeed time to sleep.
But for Orange Quiet Forest, her night life was just getting started.
Besides, it was already midterms in college.
Some of the short-credit courses had already ended smoothly.
Even though tomorrow was that dreaded Monday, she had perfectly avoided the early eight class—she only had classes in the afternoon, meow!
If the games went fast, each one was only about half an hour, right? Then she could do her pre-bed washing and skincare.
Sleeping at 1 AM?
For a beautiful girl, that’s not late at all!
As the saying goes, win one match, and you’ll crave a second.
Even though Orange Quiet Forest knew deep down that sleeping now was definitely the best choice.
Because winning a nice, one-sided match with a long-range champion against a short-range one before bed not only lifted your spirits, but also guaranteed no nightmares when you dreamed, right.
If she got greedy and started another match, only to lose miserably before bed… she might lie in bed at midnight, too angry to sleep, getting more and more worked up until she twisted herself into a worm under the covers.
But right now, Orange Quiet Forest was completely hooked.
She didn’t care anymore.
She hadn’t been able to play games freely in so long—what’s wrong with letting loose once in a while?
Really…
So Orange Quiet Forest clicked “Find Match” and started another game.
This time, she confidently locked in that long-ranged AD champion for mid lane—the short one holding a big cannon.
And then…
As expected, something went wrong.
Orange Quiet Forest angrily yanked off her headset and slammed it heavily onto the desk.
She couldn’t even be bothered to surrender in the game.
Skillfully pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete, she pulled up the task manager and killed the game process within a second.
“I’m done! Dammit!”
Orange Quiet Forest sat in her chair, chest heaving with anger.
Her ID was pretty well known in the high-rank games of this server.
This match, she first-picked an annoying long-ranged champion and immediately got camped by the enemy mid, jungler, and support—all three of them.
The three of them took turns diving the tower to mess with her, turning her into an ATM.
She tilted so hard mid-game that she just went AFK on the spot.
Hmph…
Fine, go AFK then…
Now it was exactly 12:30 AM, time to sleep.
It definitely wasn’t that she didn’t want to play; it was just that it was bedtime—beautiful girls need to sleep early and wake up early.
In one breath, Orange Quiet Forest turned off all three monitors, stomped angrily into the bathroom, and rushed through the tedious washing and skincare routine.
Then she turned off the big light in her room, flopped onto her soft bed like a salted fish, and opened her phone.
Even if she wasn’t gaming, lying in bed was still her personal internet surfing time at night.
For work reference, Orange Quiet Forest started watching some clips and recordings of other popular virtual streamers.
It wasn’t a bad idea to study her peers.
Besides, these clips were pretty entertaining.
Whether it was the streamer’s interactive banter with the bullet comments or some abstract moments, Orange Quiet Forest felt she could learn from them and use them for herself later.
After watching a few funny clips, her mood eased a little.
Alright, time to actually sleep.
Orange Quiet Forest put down her phone and closed her eyes.
…
A while later.
Orange Quiet Forest suddenly opened her eyes.
In the darkness, her dark pupils stared fixedly at the pitch-black ceiling.
Damn it!
Why did they have to mess with me like that?!
I got ganked from the start.
I already gave up on the lane…
“Sigh…”
Take a deep breath, Orange Quiet Forest.
Don’t stoop to the level of those random players.
Forget it.
Sleep, sleep.
Orange Quiet Forest turned over and pulled the blanket over her head.
A little while later.
Orange Quiet Forest furiously threw off the blanket, grabbed her phone, and checked the time.
How is it already 2:30?!
She felt like she’d been in some kind of awake state the whole time.
No way…
But the more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
Fine, the enemy ganked me.
But I kept pinging my jungler to come counter-gank.
Why did he act like he didn’t see it and never come?
And he pinged me, even though my KDA was positive.
In the end, everyone collapsed together.
“Hey…”
Orange Quiet Forest tugged at her hair in frustration, letting out a pitiful whine.
So she just tossed and turned in bed, replaying the death scenes from that game in her mind like a movie.
Orange Quiet Forest stayed awake until past 3 AM, finally letting drowsiness wash over her as she began to drift off.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, she suddenly remembered.
Tomorrow… no, today—daytime—she had something important to do, didn’t she?
