Second Seal
The red light above the magic circle dispersed.
The man completely absorbed all the power from the light orb, and the sacrificial array vanished along with it.
Both of his eyes turned crimson.
His fangs grew even sharper, and dark red veins covered his skin like blood vessels, giving him the look of a vampire from a horror movie.
If before he could only be considered half a vampire, now he had fully transformed into a real vampire.
But at least he still looked somewhat human, unlike the Shadow Demon earlier that had completely changed species.
“You find a place to hide first.”
Duoluolisi turned her head and whispered to Dailina.
“But I want to help you, Duoluolisi…”
“Listen, Dailina.”
Duoluolisi didn’t look back, instead keeping her eyes fixed on the vampire who was landing.
“You’re not in good condition right now. That vampire will likely target you. Hide first. Leave this to me.”
Dailina wanted to insist, but she knew her own state well.
She understood that staying by Duoluolisi’s side would only be a burden, so she nodded and slowly backed away.
“I understand, Duoluolisi. Please be careful.”
“Yeah.”
Taking advantage of the vampire not yet fully landed, Duoluolisi charged forward.
She wanted to test the vampire’s current strength.
But just as she was about to reach the vampire, several blood hands suddenly extended from his sleeves and lashed at her.
Duoluolisi quickly blocked.
The blood hands struck her sword, and the immense force sent her flying back.
The heels of her boots carved two deep grooves into the ground.
Before she could catch her breath, those blood hands came at her again.
Duoluolisi dodged the attacks from the blood hands.
In the gap between evasions, she slashed at one blood hand with her sword, but it felt like hitting metal and was deflected.
She tried adding Holy Magic, but it only left a small mark on the blood hand.
‘These blood hands are really hard. Can’t even cut them with Holy Magic.’
“Don’t waste your energy. You can’t cut through them. Just obediently become my sacrifice!”
The vampire said smugly, commanding the blood hands to continue attacking Duoluolisi.
At the same time, several red magic circles unfolded in his hands, and countless blood needles poured out from the circles.
Duoluolisi was shocked by the dense rain of blood needles.
‘How am I supposed to dodge this?’
All the surrounding trees had been broken by the previous explosion, leaving no cover nearby.
And the blood needles were fast; even if she tried to run, she couldn’t escape.
Duoluolisi attempted to sidestep to reduce the number of needles facing her, but the blood hands encircled her from different directions, cutting off her retreat.
Blood needle rain ahead, blood hands behind—she was caught in a dilemma.
“Hahaha, what now? Where do you think you can hide?”
The vampire laughed, controlling the blood hands to close in on Duoluolisi.
Duoluolisi forced herself to calm down and think of a countermeasure.
‘There’s no way I can dodge all these blood needles in front. Even if I swing my sword to block, I’ll still get hit a few times. And the blood hands behind have tremendous force—I saw that earlier. One hit from them and I’m done for.’
‘Then…’
Her gaze shifted to the vampire.
She noticed that the blood hands from his sleeves seemed to have all been deployed, and both his hands were busy casting spells in the air, while he himself was completely unprotected.
‘A mage’s greatest weakness is himself. As long as I can get close…’
Duoluolisi made a decision.
Since she was bound to get hurt anyway, rather than staying put and being attacked from both sides, it was better to charge straight at the vampire through the rain of needles.
So, the moment the blood hands behind were about to strike her, she kicked off the ground hard and rushed toward the vampire.
“Heh, instead of running away, you charge at me? I’ll pierce you full of holes!”
The vampire sneered when he saw Duoluolisi coming at him.
More magic circles appeared in his hands, and the blood rain became even denser.
Duoluolisi swung her Holy Sword all the way, blocking the blood rain in front of her.
But she could only deflect most of the needles in her path.
The ones that slipped through continuously cut her limbs, but she didn’t stop; she even accelerated her sprint.
“What?!”
The vampire’s smile froze on his face.
He hadn’t expected Duoluolisi to endure the blood rain and reach him.
He quickly aimed at her legs, trying to release a Blood Blade to stop her, but it was too late.
Duoluolisi had already dashed in front of him, gripping her sword with both hands and thrusting it with all her might toward his heart.
Clang!!!
The sword struck, but the sound was like metal clashing.
Her sword didn’t pierce his chest; instead, it hit the back of a blood hand.
The tip didn’t even break the skin of the blood hand.
‘Huh? The vampire had a reserve hand?’
Duoluolisi was shocked.
She looked up and saw that the vampire’s earlier panic had disappeared, replaced by a smug grin.
“Surprised? Did you think I had no defense?”
After saying that, the blood hand on his chest swung hard, sending Duoluolisi and her sword flying.
The blood hand struck her body heavily, and she coughed up blood.
She endured the pain, twisted in the air, and landed on her knees, almost falling.
‘No good. This blood hand is too strong. Can’t break its defense at all. And there are so many of them. Can’t even land a sneak attack.’
‘If this keeps up, not only will I fall to the vampire, but Dailina won’t escape either.’
‘What do I do…’
Duoluolisi racked her brain and only thought of one option: unsealing the Demon God’s seal.
Last time, when she almost died at the hands of the Shadow Demon, she was about to unseal it as a countermeasure.
‘Damn it. I haven’t even started paying back the debt from the last unsealing, and now I have to unseal it again?’
“Hmph, kid, you can’t beat him.”
Meiluodi’s laughter echoed in her mind.
“How about I lend you my power?”
“Alright.”
Duoluolisi nodded.
“Oh? That was decisive.”
Meiluodi was clearly taken aback.
She had expected the kid to be stubborn and haggle, but she agreed without hesitation.
“Well, I can’t beat him, so I have to borrow power from you…”
Duoluolisi shrugged helplessly.
“What, you don’t want to lend it?”
“I didn’t…”
“So stingy~”
Duoluolisi dragged out the last syllable, deliberately interrupting Meiluodi.
“Impudent brat. Aren’t you afraid I won’t lend it to you?”
Meiluodi was grinding her teeth in anger, but Duoluolisi wasn’t afraid at all.
After all, she obtained the Demon God’s power through the Game System, completely independent of Meiluodi’s favor.
Whether she wanted to lend it or not, she had to.
“Of course I’m afraid, but I believe the Demon God isn’t that petty~”
“Hmph, good that you know.”
Meiluodi snorted coldly.
“I just didn’t expect you to be so straightforward. But if you want me to lend you power, you have to…”
“No need to wait. Hand it over!”
Duoluolisi opened her panel and unlocked the Second Seal.
[Second Seal Unlocked. Acquired: Blood Sacrifice]
[Blood Sacrifice (Lv1): Consume additional blood and mana to increase Holy Sword attack power.]
[Bloodthirst Level increased to Lv2.
Target absorption status increased.]
‘Oh? The Second Seal unlocked Blood Sacrifice?’
‘What, he uses blood sacrifice and so do I?’
Duoluolisi was still thinking about how to use it when Meiluodi’s voice changed.
“Hey, kid, what did you do? I haven’t given you power yet. How do you already have it?”
“Hmm? Didn’t the Demon God just grant me power? I’ve received it~”
Duoluolisi played dumb.
“Bullshit! I was still negotiating terms with you. When did I give it to you?”
Meiluodi’s voice sounded anxious, like someone whose belongings had been stolen.
“Hehe~”
Duoluolisi curled her lips into a sly smile.
“Demon God, don’t forget, you’re in my hands now~ If I want your power, I can just take it directly. I don’t need to negotiate with you~”
“Don’t you agree?”
Duoluolisi wore an innocent smile, her eyes saying “What can you do about it?”
“Kid, the secrets you carry are more than I imagined.”
Meiluodi was silent for a few seconds, then spoke coldly.
“Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.”
Duoluolisi nodded with a smile.
“After that night, I suddenly lost contact with you. I don’t know what method you used to block my spying.”
Hearing this, Duoluolisi fully understood.
Only when she transformed could she contact Meiluodi.
Before transformation, Meiluodi was essentially blocked and couldn’t spy on her.
“Alright, alright, don’t say anymore. I’m going to fight Mr. Vampire now. Please be quiet~”
Duoluolisi pressed her index finger to her lips in a “shush” gesture.
“You!”
Before Meiluodi could finish, Duoluolisi waved her hands as if ending a call and ignored her.
‘Power acquired. You’re useless now!’
Her gaze returned to the vampire.
She began charging her sword.
‘Good. Let’s try this Blood Sacrifice skill.Hope it can break through the blood hand’s defense.’
