“Well, I can understand that. In fact, it was a bit surprising to me that Serveyia agreed to this. Serveyia must really like you, Your Highness, to have agreed, right?”
Dora pondered thoughtfully, casually opening a webpage on her computer.
“Your Highness, please take a look. Are there any detailed adjustments needed for these clothes?”
“Nothing really. Just make them according to Serveyia’s measurements. If anything doesn’t fit, just contact me.”
Strictly speaking, the biggest difference in body measurements between Serveyia and Neng Dai is that Serveyia’s figure is actually a bit better than Neng Dai’s.
So, some clothes might not fit perfectly, but most of them should be fine.
“Alright, I’ll send them to you once they’re done. But, I might be overstepping by saying this, but Your Highness, you didn’t seem to be in a very good mood when you arrived. Did something happen?”
Something happen? Liuli hadn’t expected Dora’s perception to be so sharp. It seemed her emotions were really easy for others to read.
But should she tell Dora what happened? The problem she was facing now… would getting help from someone else be useful?
While they say an onlooker sees the game best, could Dora—who clearly had never been in a relationship—really help clear her confusion?
“Your Highness, I think you were just thinking something particularly rude about me.”
“No, I wasn’t… Earlier, I went with Aili and Fina on a diplomatic visit to the Elf Race. On the way there, Aili confessed her feelings to me—”
“What! Confessed? That Aili? And did you accept, Your Highness?”
Dora looked utterly disbelieving, her surprised voice even cutting off Liuli’s words.
“Not yet. Because I don’t know what exactly Aili likes about me…” Liuli thought for a moment.
Since she’d already started, she might as well continue.
“You know, I was originally just an ordinary human. I wasn’t particularly popular back then either. But after changing into this appearance, I suddenly became incredibly popular. It’s hard not to feel a bit insecure. Which part of me is it that everyone likes?”
“Isn’t that irrelevant?”
“Irrelevant?”
“Right. Liking someone isn’t something that needs to be explained point by point. You like someone because you like them. If you have to list reasons one, two, three, you often end up distorting what was a simple affection. If it were me, I’d probably happily accept it. Being liked and cherished by everyone, isn’t that a very happy thing?”
“That’s true when you put it that way, but I still feel like something’s off…”
“So, what was Serveyia’s reaction?”
“She didn’t have any special reaction. She seemed to think it was all perfectly normal.”
That’s natural. After all, you are the Princess of Saint Laia. It’s normal for many people to like you.
Rather, one of the duties of a princess is to receive the affection and love of everyone.
“So, by that logic, I should accept everyone’s feelings?”
“As long as Your Highness doesn’t dislike it, my suggestion is that it’s best to accept. After all, the young ladies are all proud individuals. They’re usually the ones receiving declarations of love from others. So, the fact that they dare to take the initiative and confess is itself admirable. Of course, as the one receiving the confession, Your Highness naturally has the right to reject anyone you don’t like.”
“But, if I really accept, won’t everyone start getting jealous and fighting over me?”
Joking aside, if possible, what man wouldn’t want to have a harem? But the problem is, having a harem isn’t something you can just decide to do.
Liuli really didn’t want to end up headless halfway through building her harem.
“Of course they will. That’s why you, Little Fox, need to learn how to balance things. You need to know what everyone likes and learn to respond to their affections. It sounds difficult, but in reality, once you spend enough time together, you’ll naturally know what to do.”
“Dora, you actually know so much about this…”
“What do you mean ‘you actually know so much’? What kind of person does Your Highness think I am?”
“S-sorry. I just thought Dora was like me, an otaku culture enthusiast who isn’t good at socializing.”
After all, the position of E-sports Club President sounded exactly like the kind of role a socially awkward person obsessed with games would hold.
Yet here Dora was, explaining everything step by step. Honestly, Liuli was starting to think Dora might be even better at this than Serveyia.
“Your Highness, before I became the E-sports Club President, I was first and foremost a noble lady. For noble ladies, these things are basically required knowledge. Of course, for those Northern Grassland Beast Sub-Humans, this might not be something they absolutely need to know. But for the vast majority of nobles, socializing is a required course during one’s formative years.”
“That sounds so hard…”
“It’s less about being hard and more about the duty we bear as children of nobility. It can’t really be called hard. After all, there’s a saying: if you enjoy a certain status, you must make the corresponding effort. Besides, socializing itself isn’t that boring.”
“So, Dora, your opinion is that I should accept?”
“I’m only offering my humble opinion from my perspective. Ultimately, whether or not Your Highness accepts depends on your own thoughts. After all, how to ensure that the various young noble ladies who like you don’t damage their relationships with each other due to jealousy over you is something Your Highness needs to consider.”
“Just in case, I want to ask: if it were you, Dora, confessing to me, and I rejected you, how would you feel?”
“Me? If it were me, I would use every means possible to make Your Highness accept me. No matter what it takes.”
…….. Honestly, Dora’s words made her a little afraid. So aggressive?
But thinking back to what Dora said earlier about noble ladies being proud, it did seem understandable that they would fight with everything they had for something they liked.
However, this wasn’t exactly good news for Liuli. From another perspective, it seemed to imply that her rejections might not carry much weight.
Could it be that she really had to hope those proud noble ladies would be the type to let go easily?
“Alright, I’ll think about it.”
Looking at it this way, discussing it with Dora for so long didn’t seem to clear up many of my doubts.
After all this discussion, the best solution still seems to be accepting Aili’s confession.
As for jealousy and fighting… with only two people for now, maybe I don’t need to worry about it yet?
