The meatball wasn’t flying particularly fast, and the five people present weren’t fools either.
Upon seeing a mass of flesh flying toward them, their first instinct was, of course, to dodge.
The five instantly scattered, causing the meatball to miss its mark and land on the ground.
The moment it touched the earth, the flesh reshaped itself into a crawling figure!
Its thin, small limbs exerted sudden force, pouncing toward Xiazhi, who was the closest target.
Xiazhi was someone Li Dong had brought along, so he was naturally no mediocre player. He swung his greatsword with a heavy force, viciously knocking back the Abyssal Crawler that was lunging at him.

As the damage number popped up, the repelled Abyssal Crawler didn’t even have time to let out a wail before it was focused down and slain by the remaining four.
Turning their gaze back toward the dozens of Abyssal Crawlers, they saw a monster with a completely new appearance and name emerging from the pile of creatures.
It was a catapult-like monstrosity formed from several crawlers twisting, entangling, and stitching themselves together.

**[Level 10]**
**[Health Points: 1,200]**
**[Description: The Abyss’s most loyal believers will sacrifice everything for the Abyss! Even if they have already lost their sanity…]**
The short, thick limbs of several crawlers were interlaced and firmly locked together to form the frame of the catapult. Their dark brown, slimy flesh was fused to create a sturdy yet revolting body.
Vile, stinking mucus constantly seeped from holes on its surface, dripping down the frame. The heads of the front-most crawlers were forcibly twisted and pressed together to form the “bucket” of the catapult. Meanwhile, the crawlers on the sides extended their short limbs to firmly anchor the body, writhing as they adjusted their firing angle.
While the group had been dealing with the previous meatball, another crawler had already placed its ball-like body into that fleshy bucket.
*Twang!*
Another meatball came flying toward them.
This time was different. Having witnessed the entire process, the five didn’t wait for the crawler to land.
Li Dong, a ranged fighter, began attacking the meatball while it was still in the air.
He drew his bow and notched an arrow. The longbow in his hand pulled taut before he suddenly released it. With a sharp *twang*, the arrow shot toward the meatball in the sky.
Unfortunately, the arrow failed to hit its mark, grazing the side of the meatball instead.
“Damn! So close!” Li Dong immediately let out a frustrated shout.
In this game, archery required manual aiming. Gravity, wind direction, and one’s breathing during the shot were all factors that had to be considered; it wasn’t as simple as just letting go.
The reason Li Dong could play as an archer in this game was that he was an archery enthusiast in the real-world, which allowed him to pick it up quickly.
However, he still couldn’t guarantee a 100% hit rate against a moving target in the air.
Just as everyone was feeling disappointed by Li Dong’s miss, three white arcs struck the meatball directly!

The Abyssal Crawler, which had 200 Health Points, was killed in mid-air by those three white arcs before it could even touch the ground.
Everyone instantly turned their eyes toward the person who had attacked — ID: Xiao Taozhi.
At that moment, the katana in Luo Taozhi’s hand was still faintly glowing with white light. Clearly, that Sword Qi had come from her.
“It was just a skill. Look over there!”
Luo Taozhi gave a casual explanation before redirecting everyone’s attention to the center of the dozens of crawlers.
Another brand-new Abyssal Projector had appeared.
“This isn’t working. We have to charge in!”
Although the current situation didn’t pose a particularly great danger and was still within their manageable range, constant defense would only wear them down. They could use potions for Health Points and Mana Points, but Li Dong’s arrows were consumable items, and he only had so many.
Once they were used up, they would be down one person.
“I agree. Taking a bit of damage to our Health Points and Mana Points is acceptable. If we keep clearing them one by one like this, I’m afraid these monsters will just keep appearing.”
Xiao Nanchu saw the situation clearly. Two Abyssal Projectors made of combined Abyssal Crawlers had already appeared, and though they had cleared two out, the total number over there hadn’t decreased at all. In fact, it looked like there were even more now.
“Alright, let’s do it! The Regiment Leader will be the main tank, Left Hand will be the off-tank, and Xiazhi will fill in gaps when he sees an opening. Me and Big Shot Taozhi will handle the damage. Any problems?”
“Fine, let’s go with that!”
After a brief communication, the five charged directly toward the monsters.
The Abyssal Crawler’s only methods of attack were jumping onto a person and using secreted mucus to corrode them, or at most, scratching with their tiny limbs.
Furthermore, their lunging speed wasn’t very fast. For the frontline duo, Tiger Regiment Leader and Xiao Nanchu, there was almost no pressure at all.
Once they reached close quarters, those Abyssal Projectors became even more useless, turning into sitting ducks for everyone to attack.
The scene became a one-sided massacre.
The speed at which the group cleared the enemies grew faster and faster. Within a few minutes, they had wiped out the dozens of Abyssal Crawlers.
“Phew, good thing we didn’t clear them one by one. Who would’ve thought there was a breeder hidden in the middle of these monsters!”
Li Dong looked at the ball of flesh at his feet that looked exactly like an Abyssal Crawler and sighed with emotion.
This was something they only discovered at the very end of their sweep.
**[Abyssal Breeder]**
**[Level 12]**
**[Health Points: 100]**
**[Description: The most loyal slave of the Abyss, offering its soul! I am willing to accept the Abyss’s transformation!]**
This fellow had been hiding at the very back of the crawlers, constantly laying eggs. Masses of Abyssal Crawlers had been spat out by this creature one after another.
When the five found it, it was still in the middle of spitting them out.
“But it’s fine. the difficulty wasn’t that high.”
As a frontliner, Tiger Regiment Leader hadn’t lost a single drop of blood throughout the entire fight!
“True, it was alright,” Xiao Nanchu agreed, nodding.
He hadn’t managed to be as perfect; he had made a few mistakes and was pounced on by an Abyssal Crawler, getting some mucus on him.
That being said, his kill efficiency was much higher than the Tiger Regiment Leader’s. One could say that half of these monsters had been slain by him.
Fortunately, he was still doing better than Xiazhi. That guy was supposed to be roaming the outskirts to deliver finishing blows, but he ended up being pounced on by several Abyssal Crawlers at once. His body was now covered in mucus stains.
“Don’t tell me you guys didn’t see it! I can understand the Regiment Leader not seeing it since he was charging in front, but didn’t you guys see Brother Left Hand’s explosive damage?!”
The reason Xiazhi had made such a huge mistake was that he had accidentally caught a glimpse of Xiao Nanchu’s damage out of the corner of his eye!!!
That damage was too exaggerated. He felt that even when he reached Level 20, he might not necessarily be able to deal damage that high…
“Ahem, I saw it.”
The Tiger Regiment Leader cleared his throat, indicating he wasn’t blind.
Those conspicuous damage numbers were hard to miss.
“I wanted to mention it too. You couldn’t be using a cheat, could you? It’s too unscientific. Where did you get that? And you say you haven’t completed your Class Change yet? That has to be a lie, right?”
Now that the fight was over, Li Dong aired out all the questions he had been holding back.
After all, this guy’s damage was simply too ridiculous!! —
