After obtaining everyone’s consent, Amivy made her decision.
“Since no one has any objections, Miss Sherivelle, please lead the way.”
Sherivelle nodded, the silver light at her fingertips intensifying.
She carefully manipulated her Spatial Mana to silently move the rubble at the mouth of the gap and stabilize the surrounding rock walls, carving out an entrance just wide enough for one person to pass through.
Beyond the entrance lay a deep darkness, exuding a heavy, ancient aura of silence that was even more potent than what they had felt in the passage.
“I will take the lead. Lady Otillia, support from the center. Excellency Chaoslanna and Miss Sherivelle will cover the rear.”
Amivy finished the arrangements and was the first to stoop and crawl into the gap.
Otillia followed closely behind, followed by Sherivelle.
Mana condensed in Sherivelle’s palm, forming a small glowing bulb that illuminated their surroundings.
Ian followed them inside half-heartedly.
He cared far more about what Floor 100 looked like than some so-called ruins.
The gap was not long, and the view soon opened up.
They entered a relatively spacious natural grotto.
At the end of the cave stood a gate forged from some kind of dark silver metal, covered in intricate ancient runes that looked completely out of place against the surrounding rough rock walls.
The gate was tightly shut and covered in a thick layer of dust, but under the light from Sherivelle’s magical bulb, those runes faintly shimmered with a weak luster.
On the ground before the gate lay scattered skeletons and fragments of rusted weapons and armor.
Judging by the style, they were so ancient that their era was unrecognizable.
This place truly was an ancient ruin that had never been stepped upon by modern adventurers!
Amivy, Otillia, and Sherivelle all stared fervently at that mysterious gate.
The moment he saw the door, Ian’s Heart of the Platinum Dragon God felt a surge of inexplicable displeasure.
‘This ruin… feels very uncomfortable.’
It was as if some arch-rival of his were locked behind that door.
Standing at the back of the group, Ian scrutinized the dark silver metal gate with a solemn gaze.
The runes on the door were ancient and complex; with his current knowledge, he could only recognize a few symbols from the ancient language.
They roughly translated to the door being some kind of stabilization device.
But that was not the point.
What made him uneasy was not the runes themselves, but the instinctive rejection and… loathing emanating from the Heart of the Platinum Dragon God within his chest.
It was like smelling something he utterly detested.
The feeling was subtle but persistent, like a thorn in his back.
It was… disgusting.
“The material of this door… I have never seen it before.”
Otillia’s cool voice broke the silence.
She approached cautiously, the light of the ice crystals condensed at her fingertips attempting to illuminate more details.
“The rune system is very ancient. It doesn’t belong to any mainstream factions of the past 3,000 years. It seems to be… a variant of the even earlier ‘Dragon Language Runes’?”
“Dragon Language Runes?”
Amivy’s gaze sharpened.
As the Hero, she was exceptionally sensitive to words related to Dragons.
She subconsciously reached out to touch the shimmering lines on the door to verify Otillia’s claim.
Ian’s brow furrowed.
The eerie sensation from this door made him extremely uncomfortable.
The moment her fingertips made contact with the metal—
*Whir—!*
The runes across the entire gate suddenly erupted in a brilliant, yet not blinding, silver-white light!
The light flowed like liquid mercury, instantly surging through all the runic circuits and making the gate appear translucent!
A wave of Mana surged outward, causing dust to fall from the ceiling of the grotto.
Then, under the astonished gazes of the four people, the incredibly heavy gate slid inward slowly and silently, revealing a passage leading into deeper darkness.
There was no roar of machinery, no ripples of a magical lock being broken; it had simply opened… naturally.
It was as if it were an invitation.
The moment the door opened, Amivy, who was at the very front, trembled violently.
Her eyes instantly became hollow and vacant, as if her soul had been snatched away.
“Imperial Prince!”
Otillia, being the closest, immediately noticed something was wrong and reached out to grab Amivy.
However, Amivy was like a puppet controlled by invisible strings, showing no reaction to Otillia’s calls or movements.
Step by step, she walked toward the open gate.
“Cat— Excellency Kevin, what should we do?”
Standing with Ian, Sherivelle nearly exposed him in her haste.
Caught up in his instinctive loathing, Ian did not notice Sherivelle’s slip of the tongue.
“Let us follow.”
After Ian spoke, Otillia and Sherivelle exchanged a glance and immediately followed behind him.
The passage behind the door was shorter than expected.
They soon crossed a short corridor paved with neat stone slabs, and the view ahead suddenly opened up—
An enormous natural cavern, dozens of times larger than the grotto outside, appeared before them.
The ceiling was incredibly high, hung with countless natural crystal clusters emitting a soft white light, illuminating the entire space as if it were day.
The sight within the cave caused Otillia and Sherivelle, who arrived a moment later, to gasp in shock.
Their eyes were instantly filled with uncontrollable ecstasy and greed!
This was no simple ruin chamber; it was a… massive treasure hoard piled as high as a mountain!
Everywhere they looked, light sparkled!
On the left side were countless ornate weapons and sets of armor inlaid with gemstones and flowing with magical auras.
From one-handed swords to giant axes, and from light armor to heavy plate, the styles were ancient and exquisite—each one was a masterpiece among magical equipment!
On the right side was a small mountain piled with various colored gemstones, Magic Crystals, mithril, adamantite, and other rare materials, all glowing with vibrant colors and dense Mana.
At the furthest end directly ahead, a sword floated quietly upon a platform crafted from pure Magic Crystals!
The sword appeared to be forged from the purest silver and starlight.
Its blade was long and elegant, and its hilt was inlaid with a blue gemstone that seemed to contain a miniature starry sky.
The Holy Sword did not emit any oppressive pressure, yet it naturally became the center of the entire treasury.
All the light seemed to revolve around it in worship.
This was the Hero’s exclusive weapon — Holy Sword Excalibur!
Amivy’s eyes remained vacant as she walked straight toward the Holy Sword, as if it were the sole destination of her life.
After entering the treasury, Otillia and Sherivelle’s gazes were quickly pulled from their initial shock to two other items in the hoard!
On a stone pedestal near the right side of the entrance lay a massive ancient book, spread open carelessly.
Its cover was made from some kind of black dragon skin, and it was written in dark gold ink.
The title on the ancient book was *Detailed Explanation of Harmless Control and Suggestion of Mental Magic*!
On the other side, an exquisite amethyst treasure box sat half-open, with a necklace lying quietly inside.
The chain of the necklace was woven from fine mithril and a flexible, pale-gold unknown metal wire.
The pendant was a teardrop-shaped gemstone, its interior seemingly containing a slowly rotating pink nebula.
With just a glance, Sherivelle knew that it was an ancient magical item containing powerful forces of contracts and emotional binding!
