Bai Yao did not particularly enjoy watching movies.
She especially disliked going to the theater.
The last time she had gone was when her uncle took her, and that had been the only time in her life.
Mostly, she just didn’t like going out, hated crowded places, and couldn’t stand the bratty kids often found in cinemas.
However, this wasn’t just any movie; it was her very first real date with Qiu Ye.
“Bai Yao, ready to go?”
Qiu Ye pulled a clothing bag out of his wardrobe and turned to ask her.
Bai Yao was still touching up her appearance, her face almost pressed against the mirror.
She rubbed the faint freckles on her cheeks with her fingertips, looking quite concerned.
The freckles were genetic.
‘I wonder when the System will finally optimize these freckles away,’ she thought, ‘so my face can be completely flawless.’
“When are you coming back? Can you bring me some food tonight?”
Chen Zhilong turned his head and asked Qiu Ye.
“Hard to say. We’ll see.”
“Why are you bringing clothes with you?”
Qiu Ye glanced at the clothing bag he was carrying.
It contained the women’s clothes he had bought previously.
Since it was a date, he obviously had to bring them so Bai Yao could find a place to change.
“It’s a jacket, just in case it gets cold.”
The autumn and winter weather in this city changed by the day.
It was common to see passersby on the street wearing a mix of down jackets, short sleeves, and spring-autumn coats all at once, making it impossible to tell what season it actually was.
Bai Yao put on her shoes and followed Qiu Ye out the door with quick, small steps.
Since it was the weekend, there weren’t many students on campus.
Watching the two of them walk away, Chen Zhilong had the faint illusion that they were a young couple.
Bai Yao went to the currently deserted area of the teaching building and slipped into a random restroom.
Qiu Ye stood outside like a guardian deity.
He took the opportunity to check the mirror, meticulously straightening every strand of his bangs.
This was their first date since becoming a couple, so he had to make sure he looked presentable.
Today, he wore a crisp, black long-sleeved shirt.
He looked refined and scholarly, but unfortunately, his features were a bit too aggressive, giving him the vibe of a Suit Thug.
Before long, Bai Yao walked out of the restroom in her skirt.
Her legs were wrapped in black silk stockings, and her short skirt covered most of her thighs.
Her inner shirt revealed a glimpse of her fair waistline, and she wore a black jacket over it, looking cool and sweet yet sexy.
She was still a bit shy, her legs pressed tightly together.
She pulled her jacket closed to hide the snowy white skin of her waist and nervously tucked her bangs behind her ear, her gaze flickering away.
“You look beautiful,” Qiu Ye praised without hesitation.
He used an exaggerated description, “Stunning enough to topple cities! If anyone asks for your WeChat later, you’re not allowed to give it to them.”
“I’m not that great…”
Bai Yao’s ears turned red from the compliment, and she shyly tugged her skirt downward.
Seeing her uneasy expression, Qiu Ye threw an arm around her shoulder.
“You run around with bare legs in the dorm, but now you’re shy?”
“It’s different…”
After all, she was out in public completely as a girl now, whereas in the dorm, she still held a male identity.
Bai Yao adjusted her bra strap and muttered, “I’ve only worn this once, and it already feels a bit tight.”
She didn’t think her chest had actually grown.
At least, it wasn’t noticeable to the naked eye.
“What?”
“Nothing. Did you call the ride-hail yet?”
“I’ll call it when we get to the school gate.”
A girl should wear girls’ clothes.
Although she had cross-dressed more than once and it had almost become a habit by now, Bai Yao still had the lingering illusion that she was a man—a cross-dressing femboy.
This kept her on edge.
Shyness mixed with a sense of shame rushed to her face, manifesting as a crimson flush on her cheeks.
She kept her head low, hiding behind Qiu Ye.
Qiu Ye naturally reached out and took her hand.
Bai Yao resisted slightly, wanting to pull her hand back.
“What if a classmate sees us?”
“We’re at school,” Qiu Ye grumbled.
“Hardly anyone would recognize you anyway. That time I saw you cross-dressing on campus, even I didn’t recognize you at first.”
But what if someone with sharp eyes actually recognized her? Moreover, she hadn’t put on any makeup today.
Since her roommates were around, it hadn’t been convenient to take out her Makeup Artifact.
Fortunately, it wasn’t a long walk from the teaching building to the main gate, so the probability of running into a classmate was low.
Hand in hand, the two of them strolled slowly out of the school gates.
The back gate of the school led to the Student Street and a row of small shops in the Urban Village, while the front gate faced a wide main road and a bus stop.
Since it was the weekend, there were quite a few people at the bus stop.
As Qiu Ye looked down at his phone to call a car, Bai Yao instinctively glanced toward the bus stop and felt a surge of panic.
Gu Wanwan?!
Bai Yao immediately stood close to Qiu Ye, trying to use his tall frame to hide herself.
Gu Wanwan’s image of her was probably quite good, right? The 2D persona she had drawn for her back then was pretty cool too.
If she were seen cross-dressing, her image in Gu Wanwan’s heart would totally collapse!
“What is it?”
Only then did Qiu Ye notice Gu Wanwan.
She was with a few familiar-looking girls, likely her roommates.
“She used to like you,” Qiu Ye teased.
“Only to find out you’re a cross-dressing legend.”
“She didn’t like me like that…”
Bai Yao asked urgently, “Did someone take the order? How long until they arrive?”
“Five minutes.”
She paced anxiously in place, her hand rising as she subconsciously wanted to bite her nails, but Qiu Ye patted her hand down.
“Stop biting. Your nails are going to look like a dog chewed on them.”
“You’re the dog.”
“Woof, woof.”
Bai Yao couldn’t help but laugh.
She nudged Qiu Ye with her elbow in annoyance.
“There’s something wrong with you!”
“Don’t I look handsome today?”
Qiu Ye flaunted, flipping his bangs.
“Even my bangs are shaped like my love for you.”
He had specifically used Lin Mingxin’s hair gel to stylishly craft heart-shaped bangs.
“So vain.”
Despite her words, Qiu Ye did look quite handsome with that styling.
Before long, the car arrived.
Qiu Ye helped open the door and shielded Bai Yao’s head with his hand, welcoming her into the car like a bellhop.
Only after she was seated did he follow her into the back seat and give the driver the last four digits of his phone number.
“Which mall are we going to?”
Even while sitting in the car, his hand firmly gripped Bai Yao’s.
“We’ll walk around first. The movie starts at 2:00 PM.”
“Mhm.”
Bai Yao leaned in to look at Qiu Ye’s phone screen, her face inadvertently getting close to his shoulder.
Since they had already slept in the same bed before, Qiu Ye felt no ripples from such close contact.
However, he caught the faint fragrance clinging to Bai Yao.
While his mind remained calm, his lower half uncontrollably rebelled.
“Walmart. There’s a snack street nearby. Let’s go buy something to eat first.”
Qiu Ye crossed his legs to suppress his ‘gun.’
Being out in public, it was quite unsightly.
If Bai Yao noticed, she would probably laugh at him.
“Yeah, I’m actually a little hungry,” Bai Yao remarked.
“I haven’t had much of an appetite this week. I feel like I’ve lost a few pounds.”
“True. It’s better to eat and put on some weight.”
Qiu Ye felt that Bai Yao’s thighs were a bit too thin.
It might have been an illusion caused by the black silk stockings, but he definitely preferred a bit more meat on the bones.
“Being too fat isn’t good either… I have a lot of fat on my stomach.”
“It’s fine, it’s fine~”
A slightly protruding little belly was actually the most attractive part!
