Yun You’s original body sitting in First High School suddenly twitched his eyelid.
It wasn’t because Legend was about to be strangled to death—cough—given Legend’s defense, it wasn’t that easy for Lu Xun to strangle him.
What distracted him wasn’t something happening all the way over at Xiangyang Elementary School, but rather something at this school.
It seemed…… like…… something was coming?
He strained to sense where this abnormal feeling originated from, his gaze sliding over the classroom’s blackboard filled with formulas and the heads bowed low by his classmates, before settling on the sky outside the window, and finally the direction of the Gate.
When he saw clearly what was happening outside the Gate, Yun You’s pupils contracted sharply.
His fingers instinctively touched the dial on his wrist, but it gave no feedback.
He then recalled that Legend had already been switched off.
A monster cloaked in lion’s fur but possessing a humanoid torso had appeared beyond the Gate at some unknown time.
Its height was at least two and a half meters, with arms thicker than an adult male’s waist—it was a creature that no natural process could produce.
“Hey, who—what are you?
I warn you, don’t come any closer!
If you do, I’ll—I’ll…”
The elderly guard in the Guard Room’s wrist trembled as he repeatedly pressed the button before him.
Normally, the school’s electric Stretching Gate only deployed one layer, but under his control, a second layer rapidly extended from the side of the Guard Room, attempting to block the monster outside.
However, to this human-made creature, the Stretching Gate was like a child’s toy.
It lowered its head to glance at the two layers of the gate, then its claws, covered in thick fur, gripped the fence.
The next moment, the fence—so hard that even a truck could barely break through—was deformed like soft toast bread under the monster’s massive hand.
Amid the bone-chilling sound of metal twisting, the two gates were ripped apart one after another, leaving grotesque gaps and losing all blocking function.
The piercing noise naturally attracted others.
Amid the commotion, Gu Ruofeng on the Platform put down his chalk and frowned as he walked to the window.
Not just him, but hundreds throughout the school seemed utterly unable to focus on lessons or teaching, instead crowding to the windows in shock, staring at the brazen figure striding through the Gate.
Yun You frowned.
Since encountering the first Chimera two months ago, this was the first time two Chimeras appeared simultaneously in different locations.
Moreover, based on Yun You’s prior knowledge, the appearance of a Chimera always coincided with the arrival of that guy who called himself Chaos……
Wait, where was Chaos?
Neither Lu Xun nor You Lan had seen any sign of Chaos. Could it be that……?
“Everyone, quiet down! Quiet!”
The classroom was chaotic, and Gu Ruofeng raised his voice but still failed to calm them.
This was happening throughout the teaching building, and at the very moment a certain figure appeared, the noise only grew louder.
A man clad in purple leather armor emerged from behind the lion-shaped Chimera.
The long tail of his coat fluttered as he moved.
His eyes were hidden behind a pair of dark red inverted triangle goggles, from beneath which a faint crimson light glowed.
He didn’t spare a glance for the guard, frozen in fear by the Chimera’s overwhelming power inside the Guard Room.
Instead, he passed the Guard Room and the wrecked Gate, striding directly into the school.
This conspicuous outfit wasn’t unfamiliar to those who followed the Kamen Rider Weekly Report, and soon someone shouted out his codename:
“Chaos!”
“Why is Chaos here at our school?”
But in Chaos’s hand wasn’t his usual weapon—it was a… megaphone?
This surreal-looking guy swaggered in with a monster but held a common white Speaker.
The scene was oddly comical, though no one was laughing yet.
Chaos didn’t care about the strange gazes; he seemed to take a deep breath and then shouted with all his might,
“Legend——! Come out!”
With the shout mixed with electric buzzing, the entire First High School suddenly fell silent—a feat the teachers hadn’t managed even after a minute’s effort.
Everyone was stunned by Chaos’s voice.
But the silence didn’t satisfy Chaos.
He took a few steps forward and raised his hand; the lion-type Chimera, several times taller than him, obeyed the command, tearing down another piece of the Stretching Gate and throwing the twisted metal heavily onto the ground in a show of force.
Having done that, the Chimera returned behind Chaos, standing motionless, almost obedient.
“Come out, Legend! Don’t hide inside without a sound! I know you’re home! Come out, come out!”
Legend himself:
“Dude, where’d you learn those lines for calling people? Even if Legend was really here, he’d be too embarrassed to show up after you yell like that!”
His hand slowly slid into his backpack, touching a Pendant, his fingers unconsciously tracing its raised patterns.
One thing was clear:
Chaos was completely unaware of what had happened at Xiangyang Elementary School.
Otherwise, he would know Legend was currently trapped inside the Labyrinth Domain, unable to be anywhere near First High School several kilometers away.
No matter how much he shouted here, he couldn’t summon Legend.
In other words…… the one who released the Bull-headed Chimera was someone else.
There was another person—possibly even a group—capable of creating Chimeras like Chaos, but unlike Chaos who boldly appeared in front of them, they were hiding in the shadows with other motives. Probably, they had already been observing them before Glory arrived.
This was indeed possible.
After all, the Chimeras Yun You first encountered appeared alone.
Only after facing Chaos and witnessing Chaos produce Chimeras firsthand did Yun You assume all previous Chimeras were Chaos’s doing.
That was a premature conclusion; maybe the one who initially released the Chimera wasn’t Chaos at all.
Given Chaos’s personality, if it had been him, he would have immediately stepped forward.
Then…… what reason did this mysterious mastermind have to suddenly act at Xiangyang Elementary?
If they hadn’t, with the flamboyant Chaos as an obvious target, it would be hard for even the relatively simple-minded Lu Xun or Yun You to notice other enemies.
Besides, why was Chaos so sure Legend was at this school?
Did he estimate it based on the time difference between the Chimera’s appearance and their arrival?
If so, the real culprit releasing the Chimeras could use those time and coordinate clues to narrow down Legend’s usual location… say, the school.
Theoretically possible, but it wasn’t the kind of scheme Chaos, with his intelligence, would devise.
This wasn’t Yun You insulting Chaos but simply based on observations:
Chaos was a straightforward and pure opponent, somewhat childish.
He wouldn’t stoop to such convoluted tricks.
Forget about Legend’s human body’s location—even if Legend’s real name and photo were put right in front of Chaos, he probably wouldn’t bother to look twice.
His sole purpose in coming out was likely only one thing.
Chaos, still standing at the Gate, suddenly sneezed for no reason.
He rubbed his nose and looked around, puzzled.
What was going on?
Was he catching a cold?
Or was that pretentious guy behind the scenes muttering about him?
Or maybe Legend was muttering about him?
Yes, it had to be Legend muttering!
His nemesis was probably eagerly waiting for a fight too!
In the dead silence, someone suddenly shouted boldly,
“Chaos, if you’re looking for Legend, what are you doing here?”
The speaker was Zhang Han, the bespectacled boy in Yun You’s class.
He raised his voice downstairs,
“People on the Super Topic already noticed Glory heading north. Legend has to be with him, he can’t be at our school! You came to the wrong place!”
He wasn’t betraying the Kamen Riders by revealing their whereabouts, but since the two known Kamen Riders definitely couldn’t be here immediately, Chaos’s insistence that Legend was at their school was odd.
If Legend couldn’t make it in time, Chaos shouldn’t keep making a scene and tearing the school apart.
It would be better for him to find Legend quickly and get a good beating!
…Wait, hold on—if Chaos really tore the school apart, wouldn’t classes be suspended and they’d have a holiday?
Then why say all that?
Zhang Han froze at the thought and was about to regret his loose tongue when a chill ran down his neck.
He turned under piercing gazes to see Gu Ruofeng standing behind him, shooting him a death glare.
Gu Ruofeng’s palm was flat in front of him, clearly meaning:
“You’ve been playing on your phone in class, handing it over.”
Tearfully, Zhang Han handed over his phone.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Chaos frowned in thought for a moment, then casually waved his hand.
“He went out? Doesn’t matter. As long as the noise here gets loud enough, he’ll know where his real battlefield is. There’s no way there’s anything more important than playing with me.”
With that, Chaos raised the Speaker again.
“Legend! You can hear me, right? If you don’t come out, then I won’t be polite!”
Bang.
Chaos glanced at his right hand—it was empty.
The megaphone he had been gripping was suddenly struck and flew into the air, bouncing several times before landing.
But he didn’t look at the megaphone he bought with his own pocket money.
Turning around, his voice held an unmistakable thrill.
“Ha, Legend, I knew you’d definitely—”
However, the person before him was not who he expected.
His voice was cut off abruptly, while from the teaching building erupted enthusiastic cheers!
“Camellia——! Camellia!!”
“It’s Camellia!! She’s here too? Could Camellia be a student at our school?”
The clack of short shoes hitting the ground, and a red high ponytail girl landed lightly from the air.
From the way she withdrew her arm, it was clear she was the one who just knocked the megaphone from Chaos’s hand.
……Camellia?
What was that?
Her name?
Facing the red-haired girl who seemed on a completely different plane, Chaos’s rising excitement was dampened.
He coldly waved his hand.
“You want to play with me too? Too bad, there’s only one person in this world worthy to be my opponent, and you’re not who I’m looking for. So get out of my way.”
But Camellia calmly stared at him, her red parasol adorned with lace spinning lightly in her hand, its pointed tip aimed directly at Chaos.
It was like a declaration of war.
“Leave here.”
Her voice was clear and cold.
It was obvious she was declaring war on Chaos.
Chaos wasn’t a patient man, and his thought process was always direct.
His only goal in coming here was to have a good fight with Legend.
But since Legend was still some time away, he might as well have this Camellia keep him company for a while.
He curled his lips.
“You’re annoying… Fine, since that’s how it is, I’ll warm up with you before Legend shows.”
“Legend won’t come now,”
Camellia said.
After all, Legend was busy battling in the Labyrinth Domain with Glory.
Chaos interpreted her words differently and chuckled lowly.
“Because you alone are enough? Interesting. If you’re that confident, don’t disappoint me later.”
He shook his neck in an exaggerated warm-up motion.
The Chimera behind him seemed to feel his fighting spirit and was about to step forward but was stopped by Chaos lifting an arm.
He coldly glanced at the Chimera, frozen in place like a robot whose power had been cut off.
“Don’t disturb my game with the new toy, monster.”
Turning back to Camellia, Chaos was once again full of enthusiasm.
“Come on, hurry up! This time I won’t let you ambush me like just now. So you better take this seriously.”
His tone was innocent yet cruel.
“Who says Legend won’t come—maybe he won’t. When I break you, then Legend will have to give up hiding and come out to play with me, right?”
How would Camellia attack?
Neither Kamen Rider nor magical girl concepts had interested him much before.
Only recently, after becoming
“Chaos,” did he start studying Kamen Rider a bit; he knew nothing about magical girls.
But since she called herself a magical girl, she should be a magic-using little girl, like a fragile mage-type character in a game?
Whatever the case, he hoped she wouldn’t bore him too much.
At least, when he was suddenly struck in the face by that huge parasol and was sent flying through the air like the megaphone, that was his thought.
And after being knocked away……
Hiss, why does this feeling of being hit feel so familiar?
