Late-arriving dark clouds shrouded the outskirts of the city, and the sky was gloomy.
The weekend campus was much more lively than it had been during the National Day holiday.
Back then, one could walk around the entire school and hardly see a soul, but now students could be seen everywhere gathered in groups of three or five.
This was especially true for the distant basketball courts, where several departmental Basketball Teams were playing training matches, drawing many bystanders.
“Hey! Look, a beauty.”
Wang Zuhao was resting when he felt a friend excitedly punch his shoulder two times.
He followed his friend’s gaze and saw a young girl in a white slim-fit shirt and a short skirt hurriedly passing by the edge of the court.
The girl seemed very shy, keeping her head low and her eyes fixed on the ground.
She was clutching a clothing bag in her arms.
The slightly form-fitting short sleeves outlined her slender waist, and her fair, tender thighs were two-thirds covered by her skirt—they looked fleshy and elastic yet remained slim.
Most of the girls on campus dressed conservatively, often wearing long pants or long skirts.
Seeing someone showing off their legs like that was rare, making the girl exceptionally eye-catching.
But why did that figure look so familiar?
“How can you tell she’s a beauty when she’s wearing a mask?”
Although he guessed she was a beauty based on her figure, and Wang Zuhao happened to have a thing for girls with short hair, he habitually argued with his friend.
“You can tell she’s a beauty just by looking at that body!”
“It’s not even that good. How big is her chest anyway?”
Wang Zuhao tilted his head back to drink water, acting indifferent.
Girls who were too pretty and knew how to dress always seemed like they would be high-level players, which suppressed any urge he had to get to know them.
However, the figure of a certain effeminate roommate involuntarily surfaced in his mind… ‘Well, although he’s a bit girly, he wouldn’t go as far as wandering around outside in women’s clothes, right?’
He would! He absolutely would!
Passing the basketball court, Bai Yao’s palms were sweating from nerves, and his body was trembling slightly with excitement.
He had never attracted this much attention or been the center of focus before.
He had certainly never been sized up by eyes filled with wonder, envy, or lust.
‘This is so thrilling!’
There was also a strange sense of accomplishment!
Since childhood, Bai Yao had been a “transparent person.”
Although he was usually low-key and unwilling to stick his neck out—getting nervous whenever he received attention—he still wished for a stage where he could be noticed, acknowledged, and popular.
Oh, his presence had been quite strong back in kindergarten.
He was cute and pretty back then, and children didn’t have much of a concept of gender, so his classmates often gave him toys…
‘It’s a bit pathetic to still be reminiscing about being popular in kindergarten now that I’m in college.’
**[You have been noticed by a girl with a large chest! Could she be a lesbian?]**
**[You have been noticed by Basketball Team members! Their muscles are huge!]**
System notifications occasionally popped up in his mind.
Although many people had their eyes drawn to Bai Yao, only a few actually triggered a “noticed” notification.
Bai Yao was both hyper and ashamed.
Emotions brewed and expanded in his chest, making him want to scream out in excitement.
He kept his head down, staring at his toes, while his eyes occasionally darted toward the surrounding pedestrians.
Feeling those gazes land on him, he almost forgot how to walk.
Fortunately, he was holding the clothing bag in his arms, so he didn’t need to swing his arms while walking; otherwise, he would have been so nervous that he’d be walking like a robot.
Under the mask, his face was already as flushed as if he were drunk, and the corners of his eyes were stained with a crimson hue.
Even the skin over his entire body was slightly pink.
The rush of emotion flooded his brain, giving him a tipsy, dizzy sensation.
‘I’m so clever.’
Bai Yao passed the basketball court and the cafeteria, eventually arriving at the somewhat deserted campus park.
There were almost no other pedestrians around, which allowed his strained nerves to relax.
He found a random bench and sat down.
He let out a long sigh, trying to cool down his excitement and his overheating face.
He leaned back against the bench and gazed at the cloud-covered sky.
A gentle breeze brought a cool dampness—this was his favorite kind of weather in the summer.
He set the clothing bag aside and nervously adjusted his mask.
‘I even brought my male clothes with me so I can just find a restroom and change later. I’m so clever.’
‘I feel like a bit of a pervert…’
‘It’s all the system’s fault for forcing me out here.’
Bai Yao stood back up, smoothed his skirt behind his rear, and sat down again on top of the fabric.
With his knees pressed together and his calves slanted, his sitting posture was ladylike and elegant.
A surge of inexplicable pleasure welled up inside him.
He demurely pursed his lips, mimicking a girl by covering his mouth with his hand to giggle.
Then, he intentionally turned his feet inward, striking the cute “pigeon-toed” pose commonly seen in anime girls.
Still worried, he took his phone out of the bag and used the selfie mode to check his image.
“Qiu Ye was right, I really am cute,” he whispered.
Bai Yao’s eyes curved into crescent moons as he smiled.
He pouted at the camera, frowned, pretended to be angry, and made all sorts of cute little expressions.
A cold raindrop carried by the wind fell onto his face.
He froze and looked up.
Within moments, the droplets turned into a sparse drizzle.
‘It’s raining.’
The weather forecast yesterday said it would rain, but it had waited until now to start.
‘Should I go back? Though it seems like the mission isn’t finished yet.’
Perhaps the rainwater had washed away his impulsiveness and high.
As the tension and excitement faded, a sense of shame gradually occupied his entire chest.
Bai Yao suddenly clutched his head and muttered in a regretful whisper, “What the hell am I doing!”
“I’m a guy! What’s there to be happy about, wearing women’s clothes and being watched like a monkey!”
“I even went out of my way to act like a girl…”
It was as if he had entered Sage Mode, deeply regretting his actions.
‘I shouldn’t have even entertained the idea of cross-dressing from the start! Am I a pervert?’
“Little girl! It’s raining!”
Bai Yao almost thought his mumbling had been overheard.
Startled, he jerked and turned his head to see a patrolling security guard.
He nodded, grabbed his clothes, and started jogging away.
‘I need to change and go back, fast!’
The rain suddenly intensified.
Bai Yao looked down at his shoulders, which were gradually getting soaked, and his heart skipped a beat.
He turned and ducked under the awning in front of the convenience store.
Summer women’s clothing was very thin; once soaked by rain, it became almost translucent.
Normal girls had bras for cover, but he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
Luckily, he had reacted in time.
‘Wait? Speaking of which, am I going commando?’
Bai Yao was stunned, and the fading crimson suddenly rushed back to the tips of his ears.
‘Damn it! I saw some tags I shouldn’t have seen on the “Heaven” site before! I wouldn’t have even thought in that direction otherwise!’
He pulled the clothing bag higher, shielding his chest, and stepped nervously in place.
The drizzle had turned into a steady pitter-patter.
Two men walked under the awning.
Bai Yao silently moved two steps away.
He was debating whether to make a dash for the restroom while the rain wasn’t too heavy or to wait for it to stop.
**[You have been noticed!]**
Bai Yao had completely lost his previous sense of pride.
Hearing the prompt, his first instinct was to panic, fearing that he was exposed somewhere due to the rain or that someone had discovered he was a cross-dressing pervert.
He had returned to his original, cautious mindset.
“Damn it, it started raining out of nowhere.”
Hearing a familiar voice, Bai Yao lowered his head even further, his chin nearly touching his collarbone.
‘Is Wang Zuhao done playing? Oh, they must have disbanded because of the rain, right?’
He stole a glance at Wang Zuhao, but he happened to lock eyes with him.
Scared out of his wits, he hurriedly looked down at his toes again.
Wang Zuhao subconsciously straightened his back, smoothed his hair, and whispered to his friend:
“Hey, do you think that girl likes me? She’s peeking at me.”
“Go find a puddle and look at yourself.”
“Screw you!”
