The Criminal Records Archivist’s Rebirth

As a prison records archivist, Jiang Ling is intimately familiar with the criminal files she has handled.

She has seen too many criminals and heard too many stories behind their crimes.

Some people are born wicked, their crimes unforgivable.

Some take one wrong step, then another, until there is no way back.

Some act in a moment of impulse and regret it far too late.

And some are shaped by the tragedies of their original families.

One day, Jiang Ling is reborn in 1993.

Fresh out of the police academy, she is assigned to Jinwu Road Police Station as a community officer.

In the police service hall, an altercation is being handled.
