Chapter 34: The ebb and flow of the tide

Time spent with a loved one always passes quickly.

Before they knew it, deep night had arrived.

Mo Wan and Iselin sat in the room, and Mo Wan found herself at a loss for words.

She did not want to let Iselin leave, but she also felt bad that Iselin would have to wake up early the next morning if she stayed overnight.

“What is it? Do you need some private time?”

Iselin asked tentatively, seeing Mo Wan hesitating to speak.

“No, it’s just… Sister Iselin, are you… are you going back?”

“Are you driving me away?”

“Of course not!”

Realizing that Iselin wanted to stay, Mo Wan bit her lower lip to suppress a smile.

She felt she couldn’t just think about herself.

“But if you stay, won’t you have to get up early tomorrow? I’m worried it will affect your rest.”

“It won’t. On the contrary, my sleep quality is much better when I sleep with you.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

Iselin had initially thought Mo Wan wanted to send her away so she could do something naughty at night.

“At the cathedral, I usually wake up every three hours. When I wake up, my mind is very clear, so I choose to handle some work and only go back to sleep when I feel slightly tired.”

Mo Wan was startled.

She realized that Iselin truly cared about her trust.

She could see a hint of dissatisfaction in Iselin’s expression, as if she might get angry at any moment.

“I will not settle. Everything I do follows my heart. Being with you makes me happy, and I feel genuine excitement when we kiss. These are not lies. Although I cannot give you a definitive answer on whether I love you, I am certain you are the first person in my life to give me this kind of joy.”

Iselin held Mo Wan’s hand, gently explaining her actions.

She wasn’t lying completely.

Except for the exaggerated emotions, Mo Wan was indeed her first romantic partner, and certain special feelings were indeed brought to her by Mo Wan for the first time.

However, she could suppress these feelings; she would not let this relationship deteriorate into true love in her heart.

“Sister Iselin, th-that is…”

That is love. Mo Wan wanted to say that to Iselin.

But she was only applying her own standards to Iselin.

Perhaps Iselin’s excitement was different from what she understood.

“That is what?”

“Is that what you really think? I’m sorry, I always thought you were just accommodating me.”

“So, do you still plan to drive me away?”

“Of course not! I never had that plan. Since Sister Iselin wants to stay too, then we’ll sleep together tonight!”

Mo Wan threw herself into Iselin’s arms, and Iselin wrapped her arms around Mo Wan’s waist.

“Not just tonight. Let’s be together every night from now on, okay?”

“Okay.”

Mo Wan nodded.

Nothing could be better.

“Then… Sister Iselin, your clothes.”

Iselin pushed Mo Wan away slightly and raised her hand, showing the ring on her left hand and manifesting the clothes stored inside.

“I came prepared.”

“Then will you wash first, or should I?”

“Can’t we go together?”

“To-together?”

“Are you unwilling?”

“I’m willing, of course, of course I am!”

Mo Wan’s face flushed like a sunset.

At the thought of such a scene, she couldn’t stop her heart from racing.

Yet Iselin’s face remained unbothered, and her body temperature didn’t rise.

Could it be that the excitement Iselin mentioned wasn’t that kind of excitement?

No wonder she could suggest bathing together so calmly.

“Then when shall we wash?”

“Right now.”

Mo Wan got out of bed and walked to the bathroom with Iselin.

Looking at the small tub, Mo Wan looked conflicted.

It didn’t seem big enough for two people.

Would one person have to wait outside while the other washed?

Seeing Mo Wan staring blankly at the tub, Iselin placed her hand on Mo Wan’s shoulder.

“What’s wrong?”

“The tub is so small.”

“Is it? I think it’s just right.”

While speaking, Iselin quietly unbuttoned Mo Wan’s clothes and reached behind her to undo her belt.

“Sister Iselin?”

“I want to see your cute tail sooner. Don’t hide it.”

Mo Wan turned red. She stood there obediently and let Iselin strip her bare.

Then, she heard the rustling sound behind her.

Iselin was also undressing.

She swallowed hard.

When Iselin’s hand touched her shoulder again, her body trembled slightly.

“Sit down.”

Iselin’s voice brushed against the back of Mo Wan’s smooth neck like a spring breeze bringing rain to a garden.

Mo Wan sat on the stool as if walking on thin ice.

She didn’t dare look back.

She feared her rationality might snap.

Iselin saw Mo Wan’s arousal and curled her lips slightly.

As expected, last night was just an accident; the girl still harbored a burning passion for her.

Iselin injected magic into the water, and soon the cool water became warm.

She scooped up water and poured it over Mo Wan’s hair.

Smearing fragrance on her palms, she gently and carefully washed Mo Wan’s long hair.

Iselin thought back to her childhood.

To save water, she used to bathe with her younger sister.

The texture of that little girl’s hair in her memory was as soft and smooth as Mo Wan’s purple hair.

However, that girl’s hair wasn’t as long as Mo Wan’s.

Iselin’s fingers slid through Mo Wan’s hair as carefully as if she were tending to a work of art.

But Mo Wan’s heavy breathing gradually pulled Iselin out of her state of artistic focus.

She looked closely and saw that large patches of Mo Wan’s skin had turned pink—a delicate, vivid pink that seemed like it could drip water.

The purple tail behind her was wagging incessantly.

Iselin couldn’t help but reach out to grab it, clamping it between her knees to prevent it from interfering with the hair washing.

“Ugh…”

Mo Wan’s body tensed instantly.

She grit her teeth, trying her best not to let out any more strange sounds.

Seeing that Mo Wan had settled down a bit, Iselin rinsed her hair with clean water.

“Alright, let’s soak in the tub.”

“I-I… Um, Sister Iselin, you go first. I… I’ll wait a bit. The tub is too small.”

Why was Mo Wan’s reaction so intense?

Iselin reviewed what had just happened.

She had only been washing Mo Wan’s hair for a few minutes.

Surely not?

She walked in front of Mo Wan, who immediately covered her eyes with her hands and pressed her legs tightly together, clearly trying to hide something.

Iselin couldn’t help but smile.

She remembered that when Mo Wan was in the bathroom alone, she could play for half an hour.

However, now that Iselin was here, even though she hadn’t actually touched Mo Wan’s weak points, Mo Wan was already mired deep in sensation.
