“Get out! Get the hell out!”
Hearing the woman’s hoarse, hate-filled voice, whatever Lin Xiu had wanted to say instantly got stuck in his throat—he couldn’t force out a single word.
He looked at the woman whose delicate body was still trembling nonstop. After thinking for a moment, he finally spoke in a low voice.
“Then Yun-jie, calm down for a bit first. I’ll go get you something to eat.”
With that, Lin Xiu had no choice but to leave the room first. It was only after stepping outside that he suddenly realized—this was actually his room?
But thinking of the woman’s current state, he could only sigh, pull out his phone, and start ordering food.
Twenty minutes later, after Lin Xiu picked up the freshly ordered congee and light breakfast, he was just about to head back to the room when he saw Liu Yun come out.
Although she had put on clothes now, the exposed areas of her skin still clearly showed the marks left from last night—at a glance, one could tell just how wildly the two of them had gone at it.
“Yun-jie, I’ve got breakfast ready. Come over and try it, okay?”
Lin Xiu called out to her, but Liu Yun didn’t even glance at him. She simply walked straight toward the door.
Lin Xiu was stunned for a second, then quickly reached out and grabbed her slender wrist.
“Wait, Yun-jie…”
Feeling the young man’s grip, the bad memories from last night surged back into Liu Yun’s mind once more.
In the dim light, she had already begged him so pitifully, yet she was still tormented until she passed out…
Thinking of this, Liu Yun instinctively began to struggle. But her strength was far too weak compared to Lin Xiu’s—how could she possibly break free?
Helpless, she could only turn to look at the young man. Tears swimming in her eyes, she said in a heavy, trembling voice:
“What exactly do you still want? Just let me go, please… I’m begging you…”
Lin Xiu’s heart jolted at her words, but he gritted his teeth, pulled the woman into his arms again, and spoke softly:
“Yun-jie, I really do like you. Why won’t you believe me?”
Liu Yun fell silent upon hearing this. Then she let out a cold, mocking scoff. Her tone was as dead and cold as a winter night:
“You like me… so you just hypnotize me whenever you feel like it?”
Lin Xiu froze, staring at the woman in his arms in shock. The arms holding her unconsciously loosened.
“You… how did you…”
Liu Yun sneered, staring straight into his eyes.
“Yes, I know everything you did to me! So in my eyes, your so-called ‘like’ is utterly ridiculous! Worthless!”
“If you don’t want me to leave, then go ahead—keep using that despicable hypnosis on me. Unless you want me to die right here…”
With that, Liu Yun supported herself against the wall and turned toward the entrance. Her heart was pounding with extreme tension.
She had finally pierced through that last layer of secrecy—but she had no idea what kind of consequences would follow.
Though her words sounded so resolute, if it really came down to actually taking her own life… Liu Yun didn’t have that kind of courage…
When she finally reached the entrance and bent down to change her shoes, the young man suddenly came up from behind and scooped her up into his arms!
Liu Yun was completely caught off guard by the sudden action and forgot to struggle at first.
It wasn’t until he pinned her down on the sofa that she snapped back to her senses. She raised her hand, intending to slap the guy across the face.
But before her hand could land, he anticipated it—catching her wrist and pinning both her hands above her head, rendering her completely immobile.
“Mmm… beast! Bastard! Animal! Let… let go of me!”
Facing the woman’s furious curses, Lin Xiu remained surprisingly calm. He simply smiled and spoke in a low, gentle voice:
“Yun-jie, since you’ve already said this much… then I’ll just be straightforward. I want you to be my girlfriend.”
“And I have a habit: anything I set my eyes on, I have to obtain—no matter what means I have to use.”
Liu Yun’s beautiful eyes flashed with a trace of panic, but mostly with rage.
“In your dreams! I will never… mmph—”
But before she could finish, her red lips were sealed by the young man again. All that came out were humiliated, muffled whimpers…
After a long while, Lin Xiu finally released the panting, dazed Liu Yun. Looking into her unfocused, misty eyes, he thought for a moment before speaking:
“Yun-jie, it seems you don’t believe what I just said.”
Liu Yun let out a cold snort and turned her head away.
Seeing this, Lin Xiu continued:
“Then let me ask you this: what do you think would happen if your wife—who’s currently away on a business trip—found out about what happened between us last night?”
Sure enough, as soon as the words left his mouth, the woman’s body visibly stiffened.
Liu Yun stared at the calm-faced young man in front of her. He seemed no different from a demon—utterly evil!
After a long silence, she bit her lip and spoke:
“You’re shameless… you can’t do this…”
Lin Xiu raised an eyebrow and smiled faintly.
“Shameless? Yun-jie, didn’t you already know that about me a long time ago? So now… can we finally talk calmly?”
Liu Yun didn’t reply, but it was clear she had been shaken by his words.
If there was still anything Liu Yun cared about right now, it was naturally her wife, Ning Xin.
Before this, she could still deceive herself. But now… she had truly betrayed her…
She really was a terrible woman…
In truth, Lin Xiu wasn’t actually planning to threaten her for real. He was just worried—her emotions were so unstable right now that he feared she might do something foolish. That was why he had said those things.
But judging from the effect… it seemed to be working quite well?
…
Morning sunlight streamed in through the windows, brightly illuminating the entire room.
A moment later, at the dining table, Lin Xiu opened up all the breakfast items he had just bought, then handed the spoon to Liu Yun.
At first she remained completely unresponsive. But under the young man’s half-smiling, half-teasing gaze—which clearly conveyed the meaning of his earlier “threat”—she could only take the spoon in angry, helpless resignation.
Seeing this, Lin Xiu finally spoke with satisfaction:
“Yun-jie, I know this might not be the right thing to say, but… last night, you were the one who took the initiative and pinned me down, you know.”
(Though before she completely lost her reason, she really had asked him to take her to the hospital…)
But Lin Xiu deliberately phrased it this way—muddying the waters to seize the upper hand.
And sure enough, hearing him say that, the hazy memories in Liu Yun’s mind left her speechless.
Was it… really like that…?
But even if it was… why didn’t this guy refuse? He clearly knew it wasn’t what she truly wanted…
Thinking of this, Liu Yun shot him a glare and scoffed lightly:
“And then what? Go ahead and call the police. Have me thrown in jail, why don’t you.”
Lin Xiu was momentarily stunned by her words, then couldn’t help but chuckle softly. How could this woman be so adorable?
“Yun-jie, the reason I’m saying this is to point out: what happened last night has already happened. We can’t change it. So the only thing we can do… is look forward, right?”
