“Awake?”
“You… when did you get here?”
Su Ling scrambled out of bed in a panic, his first instinct being to flee. However, Ye Moran grabbed his wrist, dragging him back in front of her.
“I don’t know why you’re avoiding me.”
“Did I do something wrong? Tell me, alright?”
Ye Moran stroked the Little Fellow’s cheek, feeling the soft skin, her expression pained.
She had thought for a very long time, yet she couldn’t figure out what she had done wrong to make the Little Fellow unhappy again!
For the past two days, she had been trying her best to exercise restraint, preventing herself from descending into a Frenzy. Why was the Little Fellow still growing more distant? Everything had been fine at the beginning!
Did she really have to force herself to go mad and resort to Confinement again?
“You… you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s… it’s my problem. Can you let go of me?”
Su Ling spoke frantically while struggling. He didn’t want to continue this conversation; he only wanted to escape!
“No, it’s not. It’s not your problem. It’s mine. It must be my fault. I wasn’t good enough. Tell me, and I’ll change. I promise I’ll change!”
Ye Moran gripped Su Ling’s arm tightly, speaking with a look of absolute seriousness.
Looking at his Elder Sister in this state, Su Ling’s heart suddenly softened.
“Elder Sister, don’t be like this.”
Seeing the Little Fellow’s concern for her, Ye Moran suddenly let out a small laugh.
“It’s alright, Little Fellow. Elder Sister just wants to know, is there something I didn’t do well?”
“Tell me, okay?”
Hearing this, Su Ling felt even worse. He didn’t know if the current Elder Sister truly didn’t realize it, or if she was doing this on purpose.
Was she pretending just for him to see?
“Speak. I don’t want there to be a gap between us.”
Su Ling remained silent for a moment. Staring into Ye Moran’s eyes, he finally spoke slowly.
“I don’t like it here… this place is very similar to that place.”
“Which place?”
Ye Moran frowned, looking around the room. The decor was quite normal, and the furniture was arranged neatly. There seemed to be nothing wrong.
“I didn’t like that place, and I don’t really like it here either.”
“What place?”
No matter how she thought about it, Ye Moran couldn’t understand. The room’s decoration was clearly normal. Since she couldn’t figure it out, she could only ask again.
“That… Basement. Everything here is very similar to that place. Whether it’s the layout or the decorations—even that desk lamp is exactly the same!”
Su Ling spoke very seriously, pointing out several places he felt were identical!
Ye Moran turned to look at those spots and couldn’t help but fall into deep thought.
Back then, the two places had been renovated at the same time. Naturally, the decorative items had been purchased together!
Therefore, the decorations of the two locations were basically the same.
Thinking of this, she instantly understood why the Little Fellow had been avoiding her!
“Heh…!”
“So you think this is a New Cage to keep you in Confinement, right?”
“Yes!”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t think that far ahead. I had my Assistant handle all the renovations, so the two places ended up looking somewhat the same.”
“I’m truly sorry, Little Fellow. I didn’t know it would make you think that. But I really have no intention of putting you in Confinement again!”
“You can move around freely here. You can even go out for a stroll if you want. But remember to wear a mask and a hat before you leave. I don’t want others to recognize you; that would cause a lot of trouble!”
Su Ling was stunned. Ye Moran was speaking very seriously, and she even said she would let him go out. This was something he hadn’t dared to imagine before.
He started to feel that perhaps he really had overthought things. This place really wasn’t a New Cage; it just had the same decor.
“Thank you. You shouldn’t be the one apologizing. I’m sorry, I misunderstood you.”
“It’s fine. However, I hope you won’t misunderstand me like this next time. It makes me very sad, you know?”
“Mm… I understand.”
Su Ling nodded gently. He kept his head down, feeling a bit of guilt. He had misunderstood his Elder Sister; she had no intention of subjecting him to Confinement again.
“Alright, don’t worry about it too much. Elder Sister knows you didn’t do it on purpose.”
Ye Moran gently patted the Little Fellow’s head, while a sharp glint flashed through her eyes.
Standing up, she slowly drew closer to him. She sat beside him and gradually pulled his body into her embrace!
Whether out of guilt or some other reason, Su Ling didn’t resist.
Ye Moran maintained a gentle smile on her face. She lightly tapped the Little Fellow’s nose. Just as he thought about pulling away, she suddenly pulled something out from her bosom.
“Here, a gift for you. You should like it!”
Su Ling blinked his innocent eyes, looking at the Black Gift Box in her hand with surprise!
The box was entirely black and rectangular. A gold ribbon was tied into a bow on the edge.
“What is it?”
“Open it and see for yourself. I guarantee you’ll like it!”
Filled with curiosity, Su Ling slowly unwrapped the gift. The moment he opened the box, there were no special golden light effects like he had imagined!
But when he saw the contents clearly, his eyes widened involuntarily. He looked up at her in disbelief!
“How is it? Do you like it?”
“I know you’ve been bored these past few days, so I bought you a Mobile Phone. But you have to promise me—you can’t use this Mobile Phone to contact your old friends. You can’t contact anyone except me!”
“Do you understand?”
Without much thought, Su Ling nodded. He didn’t have many friends anyway; most of his old friends had grown to dislike him and stopped hanging out with him.
Most of his joy came from owning a Mobile Phone. Now he could play games and watch videos instead of just sleeping all day!
Though, it would be nice if he had a tablet too; he could use it to practice drawing. However, he didn’t voice this thought.
Even though he liked drawing, he was quite bad at it. Besides, he didn’t want to trouble his Elder Sister any further. Having a Mobile Phone was already very good.
As he thought, he began fiddling with the device. As soon as it turned on, he noticed a 5G Icon in the signal area at the top right!
This meant a SIM card had already been installed. Thinking of this, Su Ling stole a glance at her and cautiously opened the contacts. Sure enough, he saw a familiar number!
But the name for that number was Wife!
Su Ling’s face turned beet red. He gave her a silent, wide-eyed glare.
He continued browsing the phone and found several games he frequently played already downloaded. It must have been his Elder Sister who downloaded them for him.
With that thought, he opened a game and started playing happily. Ye Moran sat nearby, watching the Little Fellow play, her mind sinking back into thought!
She had given him what he wanted.
Would the Little Fellow give her what she wanted?
Her eyes involuntarily scanned the Little Fellow’s body. After being nourished these past few days, his body seemed a bit rounder. It would probably feel even more comfortable to touch now.
Such thoughts began to flood her mind. She tried her best to restrain herself, but looking at him made it impossible. Seeing the way the Little Fellow’s legs swung back and forth in the air, she couldn’t resist the urge to take a bite!
Ye Moran suddenly stood up and walked quickly out of the room. She arrived at her office and collapsed heavily into her chair.
“Hah… hah… hah…!!!”
Her breathing grew increasingly ragged. She really, really wanted to do something.
But her relationship with the Little Fellow had just begun to ease. If something happened now, it would definitely deteriorate again. She had to endure it. Endure!
