An Ling walked across the island. The grass under her feet was clean and tidy, and the sunlight shining from the sky was unusually bright.
The entire Supply Island felt completely different from Survival Island—there wasn’t even a hint of anything eerie.
It was as if this were just an ordinary little island.
On the sandy beach near the sea, a few coconut trees stood tall, but An Ling wasn’t interested in those at all. Instead, she continued deeper into the island.
Before long, a banana grove appeared in her field of vision. Because these grew naturally, the trees weren’t arranged in any sort of order, but each cluster of bananas looked astonishingly healthy and full.
Looking at the golden yellow fruit, An Ling grew excited.
Harvesting was a hassle, and also quite physical work.
But her height wasn’t enough, and she wasn’t foolish enough to waste effort chopping down the banana trees.
There had to be at least a thousand bananas here.
“We’ve hit the jackpot!”
She had three days to explore, so of course she couldn’t let any resources go to waste.
Though she was just a weak girl and her physical strength was limited, let’s not forget—she was now an Awakened.
Besides, although banana trees were called “trees,” they weren’t actually woody plants, so breaking them down wouldn’t give her wood.
An Ling pulled a makeshift hatchet from her backpack, then used her ability to control the hatchet and send it flying toward the base of each banana cluster.
Creak—
With a crisp sound, a cluster of bananas broke off and fell to the ground.
An Ling walked over and picked it up, breaking it down and storing it in her backpack. Each cluster held about twenty bananas.
She took one, peeled it, and started eating. “Pretty sweet.”
At the same time, her other hand wasn’t idle—she controlled the hatchet, making it fly back and forth between the banana trees, sending down cluster after cluster, all tumbling to the ground in a hurry.
Suddenly, she realized her ability was every bit as useful as a Beastmaster’s—perfect for a girl, as it saved her a ton of effort.
An hour later, this little banana grove had been completely cleared out, and all the bananas had fallen to the ground.
An Ling felt a headache coming on, probably from using her ability too much.
She busied herself moving through the banana grove, breaking down bananas as she went.
Another half hour passed before she finally finished, but there were so many bananas! Her backpack only had 16 slots, each holding up to 50, so even if she cleared out everything else, she could only fit 800.
And there were still plenty left on the ground—and she couldn’t just use her whole backpack for bananas!
The wooden boat’s compartments didn’t have storage abilities, and she couldn’t just pile all these bananas onto the boat either. “I didn’t expect there would be this many…”
Besides, bananas didn’t keep well—they spoiled fast.
But An Ling had her own clever solutions. She hadn’t planned to take all the bananas back anyway.
Opening her light screen and switching to the chat, she sent a cluster each to Qin Xiao and Chen Rui—twenty bananas per person, more than enough for them to eat.
Qin Xiao: “Looks like there are a lot of supplies on the island. Thanks.”
An Ling: “No problem~”
Chen Rui: “Thank you, sis, you’re a really good person…”
An Ling: “Eat more, it helps with digestion.”
Chen Rui: “……”
It was only thanks to her abilities that she could do all this. For a normal survivor, just gathering these bananas would waste half a day, not to mention exploring the rest of the island for supplies.
Even as she chatted, An Ling kept eating—two more bananas, until she felt nauseated just looking at them.
At this stage, hardly anyone had Awakened, let alone found Supply Island—she hadn’t run into a single other survivor.
She planned to trade these bananas with the other survivors.
It was time for a dimensionality-reduction strike and to make a quiet fortune.
Too bad that right now, survivors only had basic supplies, nothing particularly interesting. She’d have to wait until they landed on Supply Island themselves for the variety of goods to improve.
Collecting wood was almost no trouble at all; for a single banana, there wasn’t much of a market, and 1:10 would be a rip-off—the fruit was filling but sold slowly, and not everyone would want to trade for it. But surely 1:5 would be fine, right?
An Ling immediately listed a hundred bananas for trade. The best thing about the trading post was the delayed claim feature—up to three days—which was just what she needed to handle all these excess supplies on Supply Island.
She could even help other survivors. “I really am a good person.” An Ling smiled happily as she continued to put things up for trade.
Thatch, 1:5, listed a hundred bananas;
Scrap iron, 1:1, listed three hundred bananas;
Charcoal, 1:4, listed a hundred bananas;
Iron nails, 1:4, listed a hundred bananas;
Plastic, 1:2, listed a hundred bananas;
Wooden chest key, 10:1, listed a hundred bananas.
“All right, that’s all the bananas taken care of!” An Ling clapped her hands, put away her hatchet, closed the light screen, and stood up to stretch.
Now, she was going to get rich—one storage box on the island probably couldn’t even hold all these goods anymore.
Although trading was anonymous, most survivors weren’t stupid—who else could put up so many bananas at once?
It had to be the same person.
The chat module was already blowing up, but the buying speed wasn’t slowing down. After all, some people hadn’t had a single piece of fruit after so many days here.
Who would be stingy about just five pieces of wood?
As for the prices of other goods, they weren’t too expensive either. An Ling wasn’t trying to be a ruthless profiteer—she just wanted to quickly turn these bananas into the supplies she needed.
Getting rich overnight put her in a great mood, and she began to delve deeper into exploring the island.
Now, what she cared about most were mineral resources and such—unlocking those would allow her to make better tools and buildings in the future.
It was a survival game, after all, and she knew it like the back of her hand.
The part of Supply Island that An Ling entered seemed to have more fruit than usual. Soon enough, she found some watermelon vines, each bearing four large, ripe watermelons.
These were different from bananas; she wouldn’t sell them. She walked over and gathered them into her backpack right away.
After leaving the sparse patch of forest, An Ling also found some animal droppings, which meant there were still animals living on the island.
“Could such a small island really have its own ecosystem?” An Ling wondered. “No, it can’t be explained with common sense. If Supply Island sinks beneath the sea at night, wouldn’t everything disappear?”
Coming to a small hill, she climbed to the top. There weren’t many trees on Supply Island, so the view was wide and open.
An Ling saw, at the very center of the island, a rocky hill the size of an artificial mountain, with a cave at its base.
Ahead, the vegetation was sparse, just scattered with all kinds of rocks. She guessed this must be where the mineral resources were.
“Could this cave be where the so-called treasure is hidden?”
