Around the middle hall of Luoyun Cave, there was a ring of partitioned rooms, most of which were usually empty.
However, one of these rooms had been exceptionally busy for the past half a month.
Day or night, crowds thronged its entrance, forming a long queue that stretched beyond the hall, with a line of small demons winding far down the passage.
Every little demon in the queue wore an expression of excitement and anticipation, their eyes glued to the door of the partition, nearly bursting with impatience.
Some of the little demons whispered among themselves, exchanging sly glances.
“Hey, Pig Spirit, what brings you here again? Didn’t you just have your turn yesterday?”
“Oh, you calling me out, Sassy Donkey? Didn’t you just come by yesterday too, and here you are, wagging your tail back in line again today.”
“Ahem, I didn’t perform well last time, barely got started before I finished, left me unsatisfied. Today, I’ve rested up, ready for a real battle of three hundred rounds with the Demon Princess!”
“Heh heh, same goes for me.”
Every so often, a little demon would come out of the partition, pulling up his pants, looking perfectly content. The next demon would then eagerly squeeze inside.
Soon after, urgent slapping noises would echo from within, occasionally mixed with the suppressed, pained moans of a woman.
Shu Er swaggered into the hall with two followers in tow.
Lin Xue, expressionless, followed several steps behind him.
The little demons waiting impatiently in line saw Shu Er arrive and immediately knelt, shouting all sorts of greetings:
“Greetings, Second Lord!” “Little one greets Third Boss!” “Little one greets Second Cave Lord!”
Despite Elder Huai’s best efforts, the left side of Shu Er’s face was still hugely swollen, marked by a clear handprint.
Yet this didn’t dampen his arrogance in the slightest. He held his head high, basking in the kneeling admiration of the little demons.
Clearing his throat, he pointed at Lin Xue and announced to the crowd, “Listen up, everyone! I, your grandpa, have something to declare! From today on, this snake spirit is my wife—Shu Er’s wife! She is now your Second Madam!”
All eyes turned to Lin Xue, more than a hundred gazes fixed on her.
Envy flickered across every face.
Until now, in the mountain, the little demons’ main object of fantasy was the voluptuous Demon Princess, Hong Yanzhi.
But ever since Lin Xue arrived at Luoyun Cave over half a month ago, she instantly drew the attention of nearly all the cave’s demons.
Though Hong Yanzhi was good-looking, compared to the ethereal, fairy-like beauty of Lin Xue, she was like faint starlight before a bright, clear moon.
Lin Xue’s figure, though not as full as Hong Yanzhi’s, was graceful and alluring, pleasing to the eye like a piece of fine art.
So in no time, the little demons judged Lin Xue to be the most beautiful female demon in Luoyun Cave, relegating Hong Yanzhi to second place.
Now, seeing Lin Xue taken by Shu Er, they naturally felt all kinds of envy, jealousy, and resentment.
But no matter their jealousy, it was time to show loyalty.
A quick-witted little demon immediately shouted, “Greetings, Second Madam! Wishing Second Lord and Second Madam marital bliss, a long life together, and many children soon!”
The other demons caught on and started yelling as well:
“Greetings, Second Madam! Wishing Second Lord and Second Madam a hundred years of harmony!”
“May Second Lord and Second Madam have a house full of descendants!”
“Second Lord and Second Madam, may you have many children!”
Hearing the mess of well-wishes, Lin Xue’s forehead throbbed, her heart full of frustration.
Just now, back at the hospital, Shu Da had watched as Elder Huai revived Shu Er with acupuncture, triple-checking that Shu Er’s broken leg was completely healed and that he was in good health before leaving at last.
Before he left, he warned Lin Xue again, telling her not to scheme and to obediently wait to marry Shu Er, or she’d share the same fate as Hong Yanzhi.
After Lin Xue slapped Shu Er, breaking half his teeth, even though his face had been treated, it still burned with pain, feeling almost foreign.
He was somewhat intimidated by Lin Xue’s powerful demon energy.
But with his elder brother’s support now, his confidence swelled.
Noticing Lin Xue’s confusion, clearly unaware of what happened to Hong Yanzhi, he decided to show off and proposed to take her to see the Demon Princess herself, to “reminisce with her old friend.”
Lin Xue was also curious about what had transpired in the cave recently, and about the fate of Hong Lao San and Hong Yanzhi, so she followed him to the middle hall.
Seeing the long line outside the partitioned room, the eager, hungry faces of the demons, and hearing the sounds from within, Lin Xue already had a good idea of what had happened to Hong Yanzhi.
Shu Er was thoroughly satisfied with the little demons’ reaction.
With a grand wave of his hand, he said, “Up you get, carry on.”
He grinned at Lin Xue, gesturing toward the partitioned room, and said, “Wife, come on, the Demon Princess is right in there. I’ll take you to see her—let you witness her current splendor.”
He sneered inwardly: Once this little snake sees the miserable state of Hong Yanzhi, let’s see if she dares not to behave in the future.
To serve just me, or to serve the whole mountain—over a thousand vigorous male demons—until death? I’m sure the snake spirit will make the wise choice.
Lin Xue said nothing, simply walking straight toward the partition.
Shu Er followed close behind, entering the room with her.
Though she had mentally prepared herself, Lin Xue was still stunned by the sight of Hong Yanzhi’s misery.
At first glance, she barely recognized her.
Inside the room stood a wooden bed.
Hong Yanzhi lay naked and spread-eagled, her wrists and ankles bound, while a fat black Pig Demon was on top of her, thrusting with abandon, its pig snout slobbering messily over her face.
Hong Yanzhi’s face was pale and haggard, her eyes staring blankly at the ceiling, her expression numb.
Her body, face, hair, hands, long legs, and delicate feet were all smeared with sticky filth, reeking of heavy osmanthus scent.
Her full, trembling breasts were red, swollen, and bore teeth marks.
It was clear she’d suffered torment these past days.
In Lin Xue’s memory, just a short while ago, Hong Yanzhi was still the high-and-mighty Demon Princess, forcing Lin Xue to fetch medicine for her at the hospital.
Now, to see her like this—utterly humiliated.
The sheer contrast left Lin Xue at a loss.
Even though Hong Yanzhi had been arrogant, capricious, and hard to serve, seeing her reduced to this state, Lin Xue couldn’t help but show a trace of sympathy.
The Pig Demon, still in the throes of pleasure, heard people enter and barked without turning his head, “I’m not done yet, what’s the rush! Get back in line!”
Shu Er snorted coldly, saying, “Oh? And who do you think you are, talking like you’re my grandpa, Shu Er?”
The Pig Demon heard his voice, turned around, and immediately scrambled off the bed, kneeling and kowtowing, stammering, “I didn’t know Second Lord was here, it was a slip of the tongue! Please forgive me!”
Seeing Lin Xue’s shocked face, Shu Er was delighted.
He greedily eyed Hong Yanzhi’s naked body, then waved his hand magnanimously, “Get up. Second Lord is broad-minded and won’t hold a grudge. You carry on. I just brought Second Madam to visit the Demon Princess.”
Hong Yanzhi’s eyes shifted, looking their way.
She met Lin Xue’s sympathetic gaze.
Like a drowning person grabbing for a lifeline, Hong Yanzhi rasped, “Save… me…”
Lin Xue steeled herself, avoided her gaze, and turned to leave.
Sympathy aside, rescuing Hong Yanzhi would be asking for trouble.
After all, she was the one who had killed Hong Huzhi, Hong Yanzhi’s brother.
Saving her enemy would only invite future vengeance.
Besides, the command to let the whole mountain’s demons defile Hong Yanzhi had come from Shu Da, as payback for his previous humiliation.
Lin Xue herself was just a minor demon—how could she disobey Shu Da’s orders and release Hong Yanzhi in public?
As for persuading Shu Da to let her go, Lin Xue knew she didn’t have the face to convince him.
So she could only harden her heart and walk away.
Seeing Lin Xue leave, disappointment flashed across Hong Yanzhi’s face.
She closed her eyes and let out a sorrowful sigh.
Shu Er watched Lin Xue walk out without a word, planning to follow.
But after two steps, he turned and stared again at Hong Yanzhi’s naked body, his eyes full of greed.
Too bad I’m ascending to Great Demon tomorrow and have to undergo the Lightning Tribulation—I can’t waste my vital essence now, or else I’d have my way with her right now.
Once I’ve become a Great Demon, I’ll break the taboo and have my turn with Hong Yanzhi, paying her back for breaking my leg!
Though, I’ll have to make her bathe first—she reeks.
Shu Er reached out and squeezed Hong Yanzhi’s swollen breasts hard before leaving, finally satisfied.
The Pig Demon, seeing them gone, eagerly clambered back onto the bed.
The bed creaked loudly once more.
