“Wait, I’m not finished yet,” Orange Sea Dream said again.
“What else do you want to say?” Ten-Step Hall was truly frozen, halfway through her cool act and forced to stop. With no other choice, she turned back.
“What’s your rush? Why are you leaving so quickly? Don’t tell me you really think you’re that cool?” Orange Sea Dream asked.
“I don’t want to get into this pointless argument with you,” Ten-Step Hall replied.
“You just said your team has six people? But the information I received clearly states your Adventurer Squad has seven members.” Orange Sea Dream asked.
“……” Ten-Step Hall fell silent for a moment, her little scheme unexpectedly seen through.
“Two Privileged Students, four Special Excellent Students, and one Inferior Student. I’m guessing you want to cut out that Inferior Student, but that’s not going to work, you know. It’s way too hurtful for your teammate.” Orange Sea Dream mocked.
“Then what do you want?” Ten-Step Hall asked angrily.
“As the president of the Tea Party, I won’t allow this kind of discrimination against a teammate. All seven of you must be present. I know all your teammates’ appearances, names, and abilities—missing even one is unacceptable.” Orange Sea Dream smiled.
“No problem. Our Lost Beast Squad guarantees everyone will show up. Satisfied now?”
Ten-Step Hall agreed without a second thought, completely unaware she had fallen for Orange Sea Dream’s provocation.
Feini, standing to the side, was also sweating. This meant she’d have to go up and join the group fight too.
Why didn’t her options panel activate at a time like this? This was when it mattered most!
“Alright then.” Orange Sea Dream clapped her hands, putting on an innocent act that was truly infuriating.
“Hmph.” Ten-Step Hall gave a cold snort, turned around, and led her people away.
Just like that, the Club War’s storm temporarily calmed down, but this was merely the calm before the storm.
The Martial Arts Club’s seniors and veterans also retreated back to their club, each one thoroughly silenced by Ten-Step Hall’s strength today—she really was too powerful.
“Little Black, are you alright?”
Orange Sea Dream also helped Heian back to the Martial Arts Club’s medical room.
The beds there were filled with Martial Arts seniors suffering from burning internal pain—all of them injured by Ten-Step Hall.
The Martial Arts Club members brawled daily, going all out against each other—bruised and battered, but a night’s sleep would usually fix them up.
Yet today, Ten-Step Hall’s Enflamed Fist left them complaining endlessly—just too hard to handle.
After all, the Demonic Beasts’ powerful self-healing could only deal with external wounds; internal injuries were much harder to recover from.
“President, I don’t feel well. I’ll go home first.”
But after just two glasses of iced drinks, Little Black recovered and, after letting off some heat, didn’t seem to have any major problems.
Even though she’d taken the worst beating and suffered the fiercest burns from Ten-Step Hall, it looked like Heian was remarkably fire-resistant.
“Alright, alright. You’ve worked hard today, child. Go home and have a good rest.” Orange Sea Dream patted Heian’s shoulder and handed her a bag of high-grade snacks.
“Thank you, President.” Heian accepted the bag, gave an honest smile, and then left the Martial Arts Club building.
The smile on Orange Sea Dream’s face gradually faded as she watched Heian’s back, her suspicion growing—this subordinate’s identity was becoming more and more questionable.
She felt Heian was a spy planted by the witches to monitor her.
But Heian’s strength was considerable. For the upcoming Club War finals, she still needed her help and couldn’t afford to get rid of this suspicious Half-Dragon just yet.
Orange Sea Dream could be certain there was no Red Dragon Blood in Heian’s veins, which meant she would never be under their control.
She might look obedient for now, but at the end of the day, she was an outsider.
Once the Club War had wrung all it could out of Heian, Orange Sea Dream planned to send her out as the vanguard to soak up damage—ideally to be beaten to death by Ten-Step Hall, solving all problems at once.
“President Haidream, our Minister would like to speak with you regarding the club war’s contestant selection.” A Martial Arts Club officer approached her.
“I’m coming.” Orange Sea Dream left the infirmary.
This battle would require the Martial Arts Club’s strength, since most Tea Party members weren’t suited for fighting in human form. The last Club War had already exposed this issue.
Within God and Demon Academy, the Tea Party mostly served as a symbol of civilization and social standing—after all, the head, Nameless Witch, was the strongest and most formidable mage in the Demon Domain.
However, there were those who used the Tea Party’s prestige to build up their own martial force, which seriously challenged the bottom lines of both major clubs.
That’s why the Tea Party and the Martial Arts Club had such a smooth collaboration.
Absolutely no way could they let that arrogant orange milk dragon trample over their heads—never!
———
Meanwhile, the upper echelons of the Double Tea Party returned to the Tea Ceremony Society building for an emergency meeting.
But two unfamiliar faces from the Homecoming Club were also invited—Feini and White Feather Dove.
That little good-for-nothing Feini was even seated in an important spot at Ten-Step Hall’s left hand, puzzling the other Double Tea Party members who couldn’t figure out what right she had to sit there.
Yet Xueyuedai, on Ten-Step Hall’s right, had no objections, and even the hot-tempered Lianjian volunteered to sit below Feini.
This made everyone else afraid to question anything. Besides, it was common knowledge that Feini was a member of Ten-Step Hall’s Adventurer Squad.
Everyone knew, though, it wasn’t Feini who was capable, but rather her best friend—she’d just clung to the right thigh once again.
White Feather Dove simply leaned against the meeting room wall, hugging her Rune Sword, eyes closed and quietly resting. She radiated a subtle sharpness—pure expert’s style.
There was a chair for her, but she just refused to sit, determined to stand. When it came to putting on airs, no one outshone Big White.
This kind of meeting really had nothing new to discuss—just everyone being reminded to move in groups before and after class, to avoid being ambushed by senior students, and to strengthen the club building’s defenses.
But everyone knew the senior students wouldn’t be attacking the club building anymore—after all, it had become a trophy of war.
After the Club War ended, if the senior students won, this would become their territory. Who would destroy their own future home?
The Tea Ceremony Society had finally wrangled a building from that stingy witch—not many clubs enjoyed this kind of treatment. Would they really just hand it over?
“That’s all, everyone’s dismissed,” Xueyuedai said calmly.
The other club officers got up and left the meeting room. Yeqi closed the door, but the five members of Lost Beast Squad remained inside.
The club officers lingered outside in the hallway, pacing about and eavesdropping.
They all knew the real decision-making was about to begin, but none of them had the right to listen in—anxiously, they could only wait for news.
But inside the meeting room, the six-person group didn’t have much to talk about.
The arrangements were already set—to decide the fate of the Double Tea Party, they’d team up for a group battle in three days.
