Having money really does make you willful!
If the staff dormitory isn’t good enough, just build an “apartment complex.”
Exquisite cottages, comfortable living, beautiful homes—Labyrinth Realty, the choice you can trust…
There probably aren’t things like “Pre-sale Property” or “Housing Loan” in this world, but when it comes to “painting a grand picture,” she’s a master!
“Boss Su Yao!”
Manager Rosa hurriedly ran up. From the look of her, those two customers from earlier probably hadn’t been dealt with well.
“What’s wrong, Rosa? Did those two do something stupid like you said?”
This kind of thing is almost a fixed plot point in every novel—the arrogant, conceited noble comes to the shop looking for trouble.
The boss refuses his demands, he gets angry out of embarrassment and orders his men to use force, only to get taught a lesson by the passing main character…
The plot is probably just like that. Since the dwarf Uzo hasn’t returned, and Rosa came running, her deduction should be about right.
“Mr. Uzo got into a fight with the customer!”
See? What did she say?
Getting hassled at a grand opening is basically standard procedure.
Fortunately, she was smart enough to have Rosa take the dwarf down with her.
This “Main Character Experience Card” sure came in handy for him.
“Got it. Anything else?”
Just a fight, that’s all. Su Yao couldn’t imagine any human who could beat that dwarf.
As for what happens after the fight? With Eveleel around, it should be fine.
“Well… it seems Mr. Uzo can’t beat that customer.”
“Mm-hmm, I know… What!?”
“Mr. Uzo is about to lose!”
Damn it! Does that mean the one causing trouble isn’t human? Could it be a “demon god”? Here to capture her?
Although rooms on the surface are comfortable, for safety, rooms inside the dungeon are definitely better.
Great, if it’s really Bu’er, then she has nowhere to run…
“Don’t panic yet, did you get a good look at what that customer looks like?”
“I didn’t see exactly, they were wearing a cloak, but she has beautiful short blonde hair.”
Ha! As long as it’s not that red-haired woman!
Honestly, Su Yao was starting to get a psychological shadow when it came to tentacles.
Even though she knew most tentacles weren’t as perverted as that woman’s, once bitten, twice shy, as the saying goes.
But now? Whose brat dares to make trouble on my turf (loudly)!
“Come on, Rosa. Take me to see what’s going on.”
……
Strange, the fight was happening in an open area much farther from the inn, as if it had been picked deliberately.
The familiar bearded dwarf leaped high into the air, raising his huge axe overhead, and slashed quickly toward the swordswoman in the cloak, a lock of golden hair peeking out.
So Uzo had been holding back when fighting her before? She’d never seen this move—it was strong, but something seemed missing…
That’s it! He didn’t shout! Such a cool move deserves a move name. Let’s call it “Skyflash Strike.”
What? “Jump Slash”? That name’s outdated. You’ve got to shout something cool.
Back to the fight—Uzo’s move looked full of power, and should pack quite a punch.
Even without the battle cry, it seemed more than enough to defeat this blonde swordswoman.
“Your skills haven’t declined at all, but with my current weapon, I probably can’t block that move. Please forgive me for using a little magic.”
Her cool, crisp voice held the thrill of a swordswoman. She gripped her sword in both hands and swung it upward to meet the attack.
“Ceaseless winds, answer my call. Gather upon my blade—Strike Air!”
In just a few seconds, after chanting the incantation, the blonde swordswoman’s aura completely changed.
Winds kicked up on the battlefield, and greenish streams of glowing air swirled around her sword.
“Strike Air?”
Those last words sounded familiar. Su Yao muttered softly to herself.
At the same time, the swordswoman pointed her blade at Uzo.
The swirling wind at her sword’s tip shot out, forming a small whirlwind that struck the airborne dwarf head-on.
The giant axe, halted by the sword’s edge, couldn’t move forward at all.
Uzo was blown away, man and weapon together, by the savage gusts.
“Clang!”
Uzo’s weapon and body crashed to the ground, though the heavy axe made the louder noise.
The outcome was decided. The blonde swordswoman sheathed her sword, her hood blown off by the swirling air.
Her short golden hair was trimmed neatly, her green eyes full of determination.
But what really stood out was her lovely face and… the ahoge sticking up on her head?
“Mr. Uzo!”
Elf Rosa rushed up. She didn’t really know what had happened, but after all, this dwarf had only fought with this… “Saber” over the inn’s business.
Su Yao had no choice but to come over too. According to Eye of Truth, this ahoge-topped swordswoman was the strongest human she’d met so far, probably already past level fifty.
Sorry, she’d spoken a little too loudly earlier. If this female swordswoman started trouble on her turf, there’d be nothing she could do.
“Miss Arthur.”
Another small figure in a cloak came up behind the swordswoman and whispered something in her ear. Judging from her voice, she was a girl too—and she seemed to have seen through Su Yao’s secret.
No, that wasn’t important. What was important was the name she’d just called out.
“Arthur?”
Ar… Arthur is a girl? And she has an ahoge? Looking carefully at those green eyes, and that skill just now called “Strike Air”…
Su Yao’s “Sword in the Stone” might just find a new owner, but her own feelings right now were complicated.
She wanted to say something snarky, but had no idea where to start. Not saying anything made her feel like she was going to burst.
So she stood there with her mouth open and eyes wide, making a very unflattering expression.
“Um… miss, do we know each other?”
“Ah, no… In this world, we probably don’t.”
What was she talking about?
They didn’t know each other in the original world either, for goodness’ sake.
But this swordswoman called Arthur had clearly hesitated for a moment just now, seeming to think over what to call her after realizing she wasn’t human.
That was good. After all, as a swordswoman above level fifty, it was best if any conflict could be resolved through conversation.
“I’m the owner of this inn, and I asked Rosa to bring Uzo to explain the rules for staying here. If you have any objections, please go to Moravia and refrain from using violence, all right?”
“Are you kidding! Why should we follow the rules of a demo—”
“Leya!”
The girl who’d just exposed Su Yao’s secret to the swordswoman was about to argue, but was cut off by Miss Arthur.
There were lots of onlookers here—was she helping Su Yao out? Surprisingly kind.
“Ahahahahaha… Su Yao, just let them stay. They’ll be fine.”
With Rosa’s help, dwarf Uzo clambered up off the ground.
Laughing loudly, he walked up to Su Yao and greeted the swordswoman face to face.
“Long time no see, Arthur Lily. You’ve gotten stronger again.”
