Eno slipped effortlessly into the interior of the police station, unnoticed by anyone.
Since she didn’t know exactly where Irena was, she could only search room by room.
Before long, she spotted Irena in a rather cramped little room, holding a cell phone.
The silver-haired little girl sat there, sometimes deep in thought, sometimes smiling like a flower, her expression shifting between eerie and bright.
Eno was curious. For something to captivate the Slime Hunter this much, this thing called a cell phone must not be simple.
But that worked to her advantage; it gave her an opening.
She once again turned into a puddle of liquid and squeezed in through the window gap.
But before she could make a move on Irena, the silver-haired girl turned around and looked straight at her.
“Miss Eno, you’re finally here! I’ve been waiting for you for so long.”
Irena smiled, her eyes forming crescent moons. At that moment, Eno felt something was wrong and turned to leave.
But holy light shimmered on the floor, and in an instant, a semicircular shield appeared around them, enclosing the space.
It was a barrier Irena had set up in advance—an extremely sturdy one.
Eno realized she’d walked into a trap, anger rising in her heart.
Irena was just a novice mage; to fall into her hands was a humiliation.
She tried to break through the barrier, only to find it unusually strong and hard to shatter in a short time.
“How is it? Miss Eno, my barrier’s not bad, is it?”
Irena smiled lightly, watching her with confidence.
“Heh, worthy of a Slime Hunter. I really didn’t expect this move.”
Eno let out a bitter laugh. Clearly, the girl was weak, yet she dared face her head-on.
She didn’t know if Irena was too confident, or if Eno’s own strength was underestimated.
“Miss Eno, this isn’t our only trick.”
With a smile at the corner of her mouth, footsteps sounded behind her.
A team of well-equipped police officers stood behind Irena, the black muzzles of their guns aimed at Eno.
At this sight, Eno’s brows rose slightly, and her desire to fight vanished completely.
She’d had a taste of those weapons during the previous chase after Irena.
“Everyone ready—open fire!”
Bang! Bang!~
Bullets sprayed forth, pouring down like rain.
Eno waved her hands, and a wall of magic appeared.
Bullets punched countless holes in the wall, and faced with such a dense barrage, she struggled to fend it off.
Luckily, the wall bought her some time.
Seeing Eno about to escape, Irena hurriedly summoned her staff. A beam of light shot toward Eno’s vital spot.
At the critical moment, Eno instantly turned into a puddle of liquid, dodging the attack.
Minute by minute, time ticked by—neither side could get the upper hand.
But a drawn-out battle would only hurt Irena.
Maintaining the magic array required mana, and mana in this world was scarce. The array couldn’t hold out for long.
Eno noticed this too. She began gathering all her magic power, intent on breaking through the barrier.
The array’s light flickered, a sign it was about to break. Irena bit her lip and stretched out her hand—a pure white staff appeared.
Guiding the surging mana within her to the staff’s tip, she struck out with a bang.
A powerful shockwave rippled out, surging magic blasting straight toward Eno.
Caught off guard, Eno took the full brunt of the blast to her rear.
Her cheeks flushed instantly, and she glared fiercely at Irena.
“Little brat, just you wait!”
With that, Eno completely shattered the array. In a flash, she disappeared into the darkness.
Watching helplessly as Eno escaped, Irena sighed.
She was still too weak. She couldn’t even handle this Slime girl.
If only her parents were here…
Thinking this, Irena’s eyes reddened slightly. She made a silent vow to work hard at magic.

In a high-end apartment complex at the heart of the old city, Building 2, Unit 6.
In the bathroom, Xia Xiaoling shed her light outerwear and tested the water temperature in the tub with her finger.
Once she felt it was just right, she called out:
“Vivi, hurry up and take a bath.”
“Ugh, no!”
In the living room outside the bathroom, Vivi huddled on the sofa, her cheeks bright red.
She stared at the frosted-glass bathroom door, able to imagine Xia Xiaoling inside.
The person she used to like was bathing right in front of her. The experience felt like a dream come true.
“Oh, what are you being shy about? We’re both girls.”
The voice came from inside again, each word making Vivi’s heart flutter.
Maybe… she should go in and have a look?
As the thought surfaced, Vivi gave herself a sharp slap.
“Big sis, you go ahead. I… I’ll bathe later.”
Splash~
The sliding door opened and Xia Xiaoling poked her head out.
“Hey, isn’t bathing twice a waste of water? Come on in, our tub’s huge!”
Vivi’s lips twitched. Why did she feel like she’d just left the tiger’s den only to enter the wolf’s lair?
If she’d known it’d be like this, she might as well have stayed with her little sister.
“Big sis, I’m not used to bathing with someone else…”
Seeing Vivi still reluctant, Xia Xiaoling pouted angrily and flung the door open.
Vivi instantly covered her eyes, but through the gap between her fingers, she caught sight of Xia Xiaoling’s white… shirt.
“Oh, why are you covering your eyes? Get over here, or I’ll have to use force.”
Though the words sounded fierce, when they came from Xia Xiaoling, they had a coquettish charm.
Who could withstand that? If Vivi wasn’t a Slime girl now, she’d have had a nosebleed all over the place.
Still seeing no movement from Vivi, Xia Xiaoling strode over and hugged her tightly.
“Hey, hey, what are you doing, big sis? What are you trying to do!”
Vivi flailed in panic, but as a newly-formed Slime girl, she was too fragile to struggle too much, afraid her real body would be exposed.
Xia Xiaoling didn’t care about any of that. She dragged Vivi back to the bathroom and locked the door tight.
“All right, now you have to bathe obediently, don’t you?”
Xia Xiaoling smiled, rubbing Vivi’s head nonstop, clearly reluctant to let go.
A sense of helplessness rose in Vivi’s heart, but she couldn’t suppress the smile tugging at her lips.
Maybe… becoming a little loli wasn’t all that bad after all.
Enough! Vivi shook her head, banishing the impure, filthy thoughts from her mind.
With Xia Xiaoling’s help, she took off her clothes—though “clothes” were actually just part of Vivi’s body.
Looking at her bare self, the empty space between her legs made her uneasy.
Her chest was slightly plump, and everything about her new body felt strange and out of place.
Xia Xiaoling stroked her chin and frowned as she studied Vivi.
Vivi didn’t look malnourished. If she kept developing at this pace, she’d definitely grow well.
But she didn’t dwell on it, and gently lowered Vivi into the water.
Water flowed in from all sides, warm and pleasant.
Her body enjoyed the process—warm, comfortable—the water seemed to seep through her skin, soothing every inch.
She felt her body melting, merging with the water in the tub.
“Wait!”
Vivi snapped to attention, staring at her now-melting, deformed fingers in horror.
This wasn’t just her imagination—her body really was dissolving!
