“Despicable… bastard…”
“Ah! Huayin!”
Seeing Huayin still writhing on the ground in pain, Ingrid Beltans instinctively reached out to help her up, but unexpectedly, Ange slapped her hand away.
After having her hand slapped back, Ingrid shrank back as well.
She noticed that just now, Teacher Ange had used the power of her bloodline for the first time—this probably meant she was truly angry.
Now that she wouldn’t even let Ingrid help Huayin, Ingrid wisely decided to just stay out of it and watch.
“Despicable? You can’t even guard your own lower half—that’s your own problem, you know.”
Arms folded across her chest, Ange looked down at Huayin from above. That posture was just like she was looking at a stray dog.
“Bastard…”
Huayin naturally couldn’t stand being insulted like this.
She gritted her teeth through the pain and stood up.
Although her difficult movement to get up seemed normal enough, combined with her long red hair, there was even a sense of Valkyrie-like resolve about her.
But her hands, covering her lower body, completely ruined any trace of heroism, making her look even more disheveled.
Although the blood of the Phoenix was rapidly healing her pain, perhaps the pain could be lessened—but the humiliation absolutely could not.
She could never accept such a despicable and shameless person as her teacher.
What kind of teacher kicks their student in the crotch on their first day…
“Heh, hehehe.”
Huayin sneered, but Ange could still hear the mockery in that laugh.
“The First Demon Hunter… Miss! Ha, as expected, you’ve become so feeble that you even resort to such dirty tricks now, huh?”
“Hoo.”
Ange let out a slight sigh, the rise and fall of her chest revealing her inner turmoil.
“Listen, little firebird, if you’d made the rules clear to me in advance and told me I had to defeat you fair and square in this fight, then perhaps you could have avoided this kind of injury.”
“But what about on the battlefield? Since you want to become a Demon Hunter, you can’t expect those Demons to play by your rules, can you?”
“This is different!”
Huayin still tried to talk tough.
“I was protecting vital areas like my chest! Who would’ve thought someone like you would be so shameless!”
“Heh, so what? Want to go another round? This time, you’d better protect your lower half.”
“Tch!”
Huayin’s pride didn’t diminish at all even as she covered herself, making Ange wonder if maybe she had gone too easy.
“No, that’s enough, let’s stop here. Hoo—”
Huayin took a deep breath, and finally drew her hands back from between her legs.
“Alright, you win this time. I’m still not strong enough and couldn’t dodge your despicable attack. Next time, it won’t happen!”
“Oh? Admitting defeat?”
“Yes.”
“Fine then. Ingrid, you head back to your room first. I need to let her catch up on our lessons.”
“Oh, alright.”
Obeying Ange’s words, Ingrid Beltans skipped off to her own room with adorable little steps.
“Catch up on lessons? I don’t need any.”
“We’ll talk inside.”
As soon as Ange pushed open her door, a wave of flame swept toward her from behind.
Huayin, having learned on the spot, launched a surprise attack at Ange.
“Tch.”
Ange clicked her tongue, waved her right hand, and used the power of her bloodline to extinguish the fire.
But in the aftermath of the fiery rain, it was Huayin’s leg under her skirt—this girl actually tried to kick back, so her earlier surrender was just an act.
“That’s enough.”
Ange caught Huayin’s ankle with her right hand, her tone turning ice-cold. If she’d only been a little displeased before, now she was truly angry.
“You blocked it?!”
“Sigh, looks like you won’t behave unless I show you something real. Huayin, you’ve really made me angry.”
“Angry? Heh! Good! If your own student can make you angry, then you’re not qualified to be my teacher at all. You’re already old—just an old relic.”
“Old relic?”
Ange’s silver brows knit together. She knew young people had their pride and arrogance—she herself had been much the same back then.
But this Huayin… wasn’t she being a bit much? Heh?
Looks like she really needed to teach her a lesson.
“What? Look at that face, all twisted up with anger. Aren’t Demon Hunters supposed to stay calm at all times? Getting mad so easily—proves you really are old.”
Huayin spread her hands, her once beautiful face now twisted into a mocking sneer, causing Ange’s anger to double on the spot.
“You—are you—uh!”
No way… right now?!
“Did I hear something just now? No way, First Demon Hunter, was that a little moan? Hahaha! You’d better go wash up and go to bed! Demon hunting’s already too much for you, isn’t it? Hahahaha!”
Huayin clutched her stomach, laughing loudly. She didn’t realize that across from her, Ange, whose Magic Mark was flaring up, had no choice but to grit her teeth and endure the feeling.
Damn! Of all times—now?! Couldn’t it have been later? At least let me punch her once!
No! No way! I can’t hold it anymore! Bathroom! I need the bathroom!
“I need to use the bathroom, let’s continue in a minute.”
“The bathroom? Go after we finish!”
“No, no, I’ll be quick.”
“Heh, you think I’ll let you? Teacher, you just taught me something—that being shameless is a virtue! I won’t let you go!”
“You brat… mm!”
Ange turned and tried to walk into the bathroom.
She figured, whatever else, Huayin was still the young lady of a prestigious family—even if she wasn’t that well-mannered, there should be a limit.
She wouldn’t really stop her teacher from using the bathroom, right?
But apparently, Ange had overestimated—or rather, underestimated—Huayin’s pride.
She simply wouldn’t allow her battle to be interrupted for something as trivial as using the bathroom.
“Get back here!”
She actually grabbed Ange’s arm to keep her from going in.
“Wait! Just a moment! I only need a second!”
“Keep going! Fight me!”
“You—!”
Ange had just raised her hand, ready to give Huayin a hard slap, but it was already too late.
Using her bloodline’s power had already made her desires difficult to restrain.
Now, with the Magic Mark flaring up… her reason was about to be burned away…
