“Huff… Let me… go!”
“Let’s purify this filthy body covered in succubus fluids properly…”
“I-I didn’t! I swear I’m innocent!”
The three girls lay sprawled on the bed in disarray, clothes half-off. Field pinned down one of Liakade’s arms, her other hand gripping Liakade’s white camisole.
Liakade protected her chest with one hand, a leg thrown over Field’s body.
Alice held down Liakade’s other leg, but she herself was entangled and immobilized by Liakade’s tail.
“No, not fair! How come you have an extra tail compared to us?”
“Why don’t you mention the two of you outnumbering me?”
Liakade was very grateful for having a strong, self-controlled tail—otherwise, she really might have been forced here.
Though she’d never been treated so roughly before, maybe it didn’t feel so bad after all…
Ptui!
“Just a bit more! Alice, put in some effort!”
“What are you three… doing so early in the morning?”
“Eh?”
“Huh?”
A fourth voice suddenly rang out in the room. Hearing it, the actions of the three girls froze awkwardly midair, all turning toward the source.
Sistem was staring at them on the bed with a strange expression.
“S-Sistem-sama? How did you get in here?”
The three scrambled apart, and Liakade hastily pulled her slipped camisole back onto her shoulder, asking awkwardly.
“I knocked on the door for ages. I could faintly hear some weird noises inside, but no one responded, so I used the spare key to open it.”
“I-I see…”
Liakade swallowed nervously. Looks like they’d been too caught up in their scuffle to notice any sounds from outside, completely missing Sistem’s knocking.
“Hey! You could hear voices from inside, yet you barged in anyway? It’s rude to just enter someone’s room like that!”
Field protested irritably at being interrupted.
“Heh, sorry to ruin your fun. But I came for something important.”
Sistem casually dragged a chair over and sat down, continuing to address them.
“Since you’re all here, I’ll get straight to the point.”
“A couple of days ago, Eric and Irina Zi broke out of prison.”
“B-Broke out?”
The three looked a little shocked at the news.
“There are guards everywhere in the dungeon, and Magic Suppression Stones prevent them from using magic inside the prison. How could those two possibly break out?”
Field couldn’t understand.
“You’re right. There’s no way the two of them could’ve escaped alone.”
Sistem paused here.
“But, in the prison cell, traces of Shadow Magic were detected. Someone helped them escape—and that person could use Shadow Magic.”
At that, the three girls understood immediately.
The only one in the Royal City who could use Shadow Magic was the Demon Race lurking in the shadows—the one who set traps for them and tried to kill them—Darkness.
“She helped those two escape… What, is she trying to recruit them to fight us together?”
Field speculated about the purpose behind Darkness’s actions.
Eric and Irina Zi certainly had grudges against their side. It was entirely possible Darkness wanted to use their power against them.
“Heh, then we have even less to worry about.”
Liakade saw it differently.
“When we were in the Dungeon, Darkness didn’t even attack us directly. Now, she has to rope in two lackeys to take us on? Doesn’t that prove her own strength is actually weak?”
“In that case, I’ll just use my new ability to crush Darkness head-on.”
Hearing Liakade say this, the other three found her reasoning quite convincing.
During the fight in the Dungeon, Darkness hadn’t attacked herself, showing she might be afraid of a direct confrontation.
With Liakade’s temporary boost to LV.68, they definitely wouldn’t lose in a direct clash.
“New ability? What kind of new ability gives you such confidence?”
Sistem asked curiously.
“It’s an ability that allows Ancestor Possession—within ten minutes, I can unleash fighting power close to LV.68.”
Now that Sistem was a member of their team, Liakade saw no need to hide anything and gave a brief explanation of her new power.
“I see… In that case, our combat strength really has increased a lot.”
Sistem nodded, then stood up, looking ready to leave.
“Since you’re prepared, I won’t disturb you anymore.”
Sistem glanced at them meaningfully.
“Just don’t play so hard you mess up the operation in two days.”
Leaving those words behind, Sistem departed.
“Did you hear? Don’t let it affect the operation in two days. So—no lewd stuff allowed!”
Seizing the moment while Alice and Field were stunned, Liakade leapt free of their grasp.
“And anyway, I… I really didn’t do anything with Korim!”
“You were on the floor like a puppy, calling her Mother, and you still say nothing happened!?”
Field jumped off the bed, advancing step by step toward Liakade.
“No, I didn’t! I just…”
Cold sweat poured down Liakade’s forehead.
She’d just wanted the two of them to be wary of Korim, but now she’d landed herself in a crisis.
Now, she couldn’t even explain properly.
“I did call her, but I didn’t bark like a dog! I didn’t crawl on the floor like a puppy, either! And I didn’t rub her feet with my face!”
Liakade wasn’t lying.
She’d only admitted to being Korim’s obedient puppy who called her Mother.
“Hehe… I don’t believe you! If nothing happened, why’d you say all that from the start?”
Field still didn’t buy it.
There was no reason for Liakade to embellish so much otherwise.
“Exactly! If nothing happened, why did Liakade say that in the first place!”
Alice felt the same.
“I, this…”
“Can’t explain? So you really did it!”
“Y-you have to believe me! I’m not that kind of person! I just wanted you two to be careful. Korim’s been tempting me all along, but I really didn’t do anything!”
At most, she’d just called her Mother!
Liakade watched Alice and Field slowly closing in, unconsciously backing up until she hit the wall.
“Believe me! Alice! Field!”
“Hmph… Fine, I’ll believe you this once.”
Seeing Liakade’s sincere eyes, Field reluctantly chose to trust her, but…
“I can believe you this time, but…”
Even as she spoke, the two didn’t stop moving forward.
“Since you called her Mother, shouldn’t you call me that too?”
“I’ll pass on being called Mother… That’s too embarrassing. But if Liakade would act like a puppy, I’d be happy.”
“Help—save me!”
