“Ahhhhh!”
The Blond who had been sent flying by Wanmie’s punch finally screamed in agony, belatedly realizing his injuries.
Both his hands were broken, twisted in a grotesque direction, white bones piercing through the skin and exposed to the air.
The scene was horrifying.
The Redhead instinctively glanced at the Blond, feeling a wetness between his legs.
A seven-foot-tall man, yet he had been scared to the point of wetting himself by a petite girl who didn’t even reach his chest.
“I-I-I…”
The Redhead stared at Wanmie as if seeing the devil itself, retreating step by step until his back hit the corner of the wall.
Seeing how terrified the Redhead was, Wanmie gave an awkward smile.
“Looks like I was a bit too rough? Don’t worry, I’ll go easier this time.”
Her smile was beautiful, so dazzling that even the most gorgeous flowers would pale in comparison.
But in the Redhead’s eyes, it was more terrifying than Satan.
Oh mama, are girls these days really this fierce?
I’ll never get involved with women again!
Yuuichi wore a bitter expression.
This was the real ‘Ghost Shadow’ who had single-handedly overturned the entire Temporary Stronghold of the Tian Shan Group in this district.
Back then, even dozens inside the Stronghold couldn’t stop her, let alone just a few of them now.
Masao Nohara’s eyes also lit up when he saw Wanmie’s skills.
With a sinister grin, he said, “The girl’s got a fiery temper, huh? But you injured my brothers—how should I settle this score?”
Standing before Masao Nohara, who was twice her size, Wanmie showed no fear, meeting his fierce gaze directly.
“Settle the score? I’ll give you one minute to hand over the money. Otherwise, that Blond’s fate will be yours.”
To her, these thugs were like walking ATMs.
Not only could she earn a Coin reward for injuring them, but she could also loot some cash and eliminate evil for the public good.
After all, could these thugs go crying to the Police, saying they’d been robbed?
They were regulars with the Police.
To the Police, only they robbed others—no one robbed them.
Even if they were robbed, the Police would just treat it as a joke.
“You? Want to rob me?”
Masao Nohara burst out laughing as if hearing the world’s funniest joke.
“You can ask around. I’m Masao Nohara. Don’t think you’re something special just because you can throw a punch and send my lackeys flying!”
He was not kidding.
Masao Nohara had joined the Tian Shan Group and become a small leader thanks to his excellent fighting skills.
He had once fought ten opponents alone, earning the nickname ‘Wild Nohara’ on the streets.
The force of Wanmie’s earlier punch had indeed impressed him.
But to think she could take on him with that level of strength was just showing off.
Yuuichi couldn’t take it anymore.
He walked up to Masao Nohara and whispered, “Boss, she’s the ‘Ghost Shadow’ who took out our Stronghold last time!”
“Oh?”
Hearing this, Masao Nohara looked again at the cold, white-haired beauty before him.
Who would have thought that this girl, who looked only in her teens, was the same ‘Ghost Shadow’ who had shaken the underground forces of Tengū City, causing gang leaders to tremble at the name?
“Interesting. I didn’t expect the infamous ‘Ghost Shadow’ to be so pretty. Too bad she’s about to fall into my hands.”
Masao Nohara didn’t care about Wanmie at all.
No matter how strong she was, she was still a woman.
If he hadn’t been out on business that day, how could a mere ‘Ghost Shadow’ have toppled an entire Stronghold?
“Uh… What are they talking about?”
Wanmie blinked, confused by their conversation.
What’s a ‘Ghost Shadow’?
And as for this so-called Stronghold…
She only remembered wiping out a gang’s hideout recently.
Could that be the Stronghold they were talking about?
Come to think of it, she had earned a lot of Coins back then.
But she’d left in a hurry, worried about attracting the Police, and hadn’t even looted the spoils.
Yuuichi looked at his muscle-brained boss with sadness.
Why had he chosen to follow someone like this?
Back then, even with everyone in the Stronghold armed, they couldn’t subdue ‘Ghost Shadow’—let alone one unarmed man like him.
While they talked, Shiori approached Wanmie, pulling at her arm.
“Miss Ayase, Kanzaki Kotori has already notified the Police for this area. We should hurry and leave!”
“Leave? Why?”
Wanmie replied.
There were still three Coins and a pile of Cash right in front of her waiting to be collected!
Shiori’s face darkened.
Why did the usually elegant and mischievous Miss Ayase suddenly turn into a berserker?
She didn’t know that before meeting Shiori, Wanmie was a ‘Ghost Shadow’ who struck terror into the hearts of all the gangs in Tengū City.
Even the local mafia were wary of her.
Of course, Wanmie herself was unaware of all this.
Her only intention at the time had been to complete a System mission and earn Coins.
“If we wait for the Police to arrive, things will get complicated.”
Shiori was confident that with Wanmie here, he’d be safe.
But if the Police showed up, it would be a whole different problem—especially since he had a mission to complete.
“Then shouldn’t we just take care of them before the Police get here?”
Wanmie smiled calmly, stepped forward, clenched her right fist, bent her waist, and gathered strength.
In the next moment, her small, pale fist shot out like a cannonball, stirring the dust on the ground and sending it whirling toward Masao Nohara with unstoppable force.
Masao Nohara grinned, raising his bowl-sized fist.
“Yuuichi, today I’ll show you just how weak the ‘Ghost Shadow’ you fear really is!”
“Don’t! Someone will die!”
Shiori screamed.
Wanmie was a real Spirit.
Even without using Yuanling, she was beyond any normal human.
If she landed a punch, Masao Nohara would be dead or crippled for sure!
Of course, the chances of death were higher.
Masao Nohara thought Shiori was warning him, and laughed.
“Hahaha, I wouldn’t even need full strength to deal with a little girl. At most, she’ll be lying down for a few days!”
But the next second, his laughter froze.
Shock and fear replaced it.
A bowl-sized fist and a small, delicate pink fist collided.
But Masao Nohara felt as if he’d struck a steel plate.
It wasn’t over.
Wanmie’s punch, like a cannonball, shattered Masao Nohara’s hand bones with a crisp crack, white bones piercing through his wrist.
His entire right arm was a bloody mess—completely ruined and beyond healing.
“Ahhh!”
Masao Nohara let out a miserable scream.
But before he could even finish, Wanmie kicked him in the chest, sending him flying to crash into the Redhead in the corner.
The poor Redhead only saw his boss’ body coming closer and closer, but couldn’t dodge in time.
He crashed into Masao Nohara and fainted in despair.
It all happened so fast that even the Watchers around them hadn’t processed it.
Shiori stood frozen, speechless.
Wanmie turned to Shiori, smiling.
“See? Problem solved.”
“Uh…”
Shiori was at a loss for words.
After a long pause, he finally asked,
“Are they… okay?”
Okay? Which eye of yours sees us as okay?!
The Blond still lying on the ground, wailing, nearly died of anger at Shiori’s question.
“Probably?”
Wanmie scratched her head.
“I always use this amount of force, so they won’t die anyway.”
Her answer left Shiori with a bitter smile.
So this isn’t your first time doing this?
Suddenly, Shiori recalled a news article he’d seen by chance.
Could it be that the recent culprit attacking innocent citizens was Wanmie?
“Right, I almost forgot someone.”
Ready to start officially looting, Wanmie walked over to Masao Nohara, but then noticed Yuuichi trembling on the side.
Her eyes sparkled.
Almost missed a Coin!
Under Wanmie’s gaze, Yuuichi’s legs went weak and he fell to the ground.
“N-no… Please spare me!”
Back at the Stronghold, Wanmie had already given Yuuichi a psychological trauma.
Now, seeing her overpower three of his companions, he lost all will to resist and was just short of kneeling and begging.
Seeing Wanmie unmoved, Yuuichi hurriedly pulled out his wallet and handed it to her.
“T-this… There’s a hundred thousand inside. It’s all I have!”
As the saying goes, don’t hit someone who’s begging.
Yuuichi pleaded so earnestly, it would be too much to beat him further.
Coins were important, but getting a hundred thousand wasn’t a loss either.
After counting the Cash in the wallet, Wanmie nodded.
“Alright, you can go. But search those three for any money and bring it to me.”
“Y-yes!”
Yuuichi replied, quickly searching Masao Nohara and the others, handing over all the Cash before running off at top speed.
The surrounding Watchers still couldn’t believe their eyes.
Four burly thugs, beaten down by a teenage girl and robbed of their money?
This world is just too surreal…
