Colin and Liyami chatted as they arrived at the theater entrance. Colin led Liyami inside and they took their seats in the premium section.
Before coming in, Liyami had glanced at the play Colin had chosen. Honestly, she didn’t quite understand it. She had never been to a theater before, and dramas were something she was completely unfamiliar with.
But since Colin had picked it, she was somewhat interested.
As the curtain rose, the play began.
Two hours later, Colin and Liyami walked out of the theater, ready to get dinner.
On the way, Liyami kept thinking about the scenes from the play they had just watched. She had to admit, Colin really had a knack for choosing plays. She had actually become somewhat interested. Though she still didn’t fully understand it, that didn’t stop her from enjoying it immensely.
Seeing that Liyami was genuinely interested in theater, Colin couldn’t help but feel relieved. It seemed that the recently popular play he’d heard about from Ryan hadn’t disappointed him after all. It successfully made this date… ahem, walk, much more relaxed.
While Liyami was lost in the play’s plot, Colin had already brought her to the dinner spot.
Snapping back to reality, Liyami looked toward the restaurant before her, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes. This place was easily one of the best in Kit City. It seemed Colin was really putting effort into this date… cough, walk.
Entering the restaurant, they followed the waiter to the best table in the place. Colin was quick to pull out the chair for Liyami, signaling for her to sit.
Seeing this, Liyami raised an eyebrow. Where on earth had Colin learned to do that?
Though curious, she obediently took her seat. Colin sat opposite her, and the waiter handed Liyami the menu.
Watching her order, Colin’s heart raced. That little gesture had actually been taught to him by Ryan, but it wasn’t until now, using it in practice, that he realized it might come off as a bit too intimate.
Though it was just pulling out a chair for Liyami, Colin couldn’t shake the feeling that something felt off, and his mind started wandering wildly.
Could it be because Liyami was now a woman? Colin thought. If the old Liyami had come walking with him, he wouldn’t have had these tangled thoughts or felt so awkward.
Though Colin wanted to treat Liyami as he had before, he knew he couldn’t anymore. Liyami was now a woman, no longer his brother.
Moreover, she had even dressed in women’s clothes just for today’s walk! It would be rude for him to keep treating her as a man.
Yet Colin also knew this situation was temporary. Liyami would eventually change back. So he couldn’t treat her entirely as a woman either.
Because of this, Colin felt very conflicted about how to interact with Liyami now. He had no idea which way to approach her. Perhaps this walk would help him figure it out?
While Colin was lost in thought, Liyami had already finished ordering and was just waiting for the food to arrive. From the moment she started, she’d been quietly observing Colin’s reactions.
From his expressions, Liyami could sense his inner conflict and understood exactly what he was struggling with. Although she was now a woman, she wouldn’t remain one forever; she would change back in the end.
This troubled Liyami as well. After living as a woman for over half a month, she wasn’t sure if it was better to return to her original self or keep the current state.
But no matter what happened in the future, it didn’t matter now. After all, today was just an ordinary… walk, wasn’t it?
As the exquisite dishes were brought to their table, their thoughts were interrupted, and their attention shifted to the food. Especially Liyami, who immediately lit up after tasting the restaurant’s dishes, savoring each bite delightfully.
Colin smiled softly at this and began eating with his fork and knife. It was obvious that this restaurant was also recommended by Ryan. If Colin had picked himself, the result would likely have been very different.
Satisfied and full, Liyami gently rubbed her belly and silently made a mental note to come back often if she had the chance.
After leaving the restaurant with Colin, Liyami looked out at the still lively street and asked Colin where they would go next.
“Let’s go browse over there first. Maybe you’ll find something you like. Don’t worry, it’s on me—buy whatever you want.”
Hearing this, Liyami smacked her lips in appreciation. The wealthy really had it good, casually saying things like that without a care.
But she didn’t object—after all, if she could get something for free, why not take advantage?
Walking down a street full of vendors selling all sorts of goods, Liyami barely glanced at most of the items. Most of the things here were just pretty decorations with no real use.
She wasn’t uninterested because she disliked pretty things; she just thought she could come back later and buy them herself. There was no need for Colin to pay.
Though Colin said she could buy anything, Liyami had no intention of splurging. She didn’t want to come off as greedy.
Strolling alongside Colin through the bustling street, Liyami casually glanced at the goods but found nothing worth buying—until she spotted a cloaked street vendor.
She immediately noticed among the vendor’s wares something she wanted. She glanced at Colin, who was looking at another stall, then headed straight to the vendor.
Colin was curious about what had caught her eye, but since she didn’t call him over, he stayed put, continuing to browse the other vendor’s goods.
In front of the street vendor, Liyami squatted down and casually examined the items, occasionally pointing at one or two to ask about their price and use.
Finally, she pointed at the item she wanted and immediately asked the vendor for the price.
The vendor, already a bit impatient with her earlier questions, waved his hand dismissively when she pointed again, quickly quoting a price. He just wanted the lady to make up her mind and stop blocking his business.
The price was within Liyami’s expectations, so she promptly paid.
After she finished buying, Colin came over and looked curiously at the item in her hand, asking what she had bought.
Liyami didn’t answer but instead gave a mysterious smile and whispered, “Not telling you yet! I’ll show you after this walk is over!”
Seeing this, Colin was a bit puzzled but didn’t press. He decided to let it be for now. After all, their next stop was the store where he had reserved some items.
He hoped Liyami would like what he had prepared next.
