“Snap.”
Su Yao left Lilith alone in the room, closed the door, and walked away.
Punish her with a whip? Forget it. Judging by how her tail was twisting like that, whipping her would probably feel like a reward.
That guy really was a pervert, always managing to come up with some big schemes for her.
Looks like from now on, raising the Succubi would be her own responsibility. After all, if she left it to Chlorel…
Well, that wasn’t entirely impossible?
Putting that matter aside for now, Su Yao withdrew the initial capital the Investor Angel had given her.
It had been a long time since she last spent money like this; today she was going to indulge herself.
What? Embezzlement? Come on, it’s not like anyone really thinks all the money from the investor has to be thrown entirely into the project these days.
A familiar chest of gold was converted into 120,000 DP. Counting the remaining balance, her current DP had just surpassed 130,000.
“Doro, Doli.”
Su Yao found the Dorodori Sisters and asked them to move the soldiers from the Dungeon’s second floor to the vacant Boss Room on the first floor.
She was about to start designing the “New Map.”
As usual, she first spent 15,000 DP to expand the second basement level to its maximum size.
Once completed, Su Yao could purchase two new Boss Rooms, but since she didn’t need to use the binding cards at the moment, those DP were saved.
“Spend 2,000 DP to purchase environment ‘Cave System’?”
“Yes!”
As mentioned before, she chose the “Cave System” environment to better obtain “ingredients.”
However, before setting the spawn points for “ingredient-type monsters,” she needed to roughly design the terrain and maze.
That’s right, the second basement level would also be open to Adventurers.
Rather than having her own people struggle hunting monsters to gather ingredients, it was obviously better to delegate that task to the Adventurers.
This was also why she needed to convince the Adventurers’ Guild to set up a branch here.
Su Yao planned to list the “ingredients” needed to operate the “Labyrinth Tavern” on the Adventurer Commission Board at the branch.
This way, besides exploring the Dungeon for treasures, Adventurers could also get rewards by hunting specific monsters.
She would only need to buy and process the monster carcasses.
This ensured a steady supply of raw materials while saving on manpower costs—a perfect arrangement, Beet!
The mazes generated in the “Cave System” environment were damp, dark tunnels. The maze on this Dungeon floor didn’t need to be too complicated.
Because it was a dedicated hunting ground for “ingredients,” treasure chests would be much fewer, but correspondingly, traps and mechanisms were greatly reduced.
The maze was designed in the shape of an “Anemone Disk.” At its center was a spacious, grand “Cave Hall.” Surrounding it were wet stone walls with “Cave Tunnels” of varying heights.
These tunnels resembled the slender tentacles attached to an anemone disk, connected to each other by narrow caverns.
Some caverns were dead ends, others were passages.
The ends of the “tentacles” contained up to twenty-five Ordinary Rooms that Su Yao had spent 5,000 DP to place.
Of course, under the “Cave System” environment, these rooms transformed into “Caves.”
Although this 3D maze was simpler than before, the difference in elevation among the tunnels, coupled with narrow caverns barely wide enough for one person, made exploring no easier than a 2D maze.
With the maze designed, next came Su Yao’s long-anticipated “ingredient” spawn points.
“Spend 35,000 DP to purchase [Water System]?”
“Yes!”
[Water System]: A complex and vast underground simulated river, a breeding ground for aquatic monsters. Once placed, it randomly spawns monsters that can survive in freshwater (limit 0/1000) and unlocks permission to place “Freshwater Monster” spawn points in the Dungeon.
This was probably the most expensive spawn point Su Yao could buy at this stage. Originally priced at 50,000 DP, it was considerably cheaper after setting the Dungeon environment to “Cave System.”
Of course, its effects were powerful. With it, besides the special spawn points for the cave environment, Su Yao could also place spawn points for monsters in “rivers” and “lakes.”
Upon selecting “Yes,” water began to gush continuously from various underground sources, gradually forming a lake in the “Cave Hall.” Some of the “Caves” formed by Ordinary Rooms were also flooded.
Water flowed into the lower-elevation “Cave Tunnels.”
The massive volume of water completely submerged some tunnels and partially submerged others.
Slightly higher tunnels had small streams, while even higher tunnels remained unaffected.
After the water stopped rising, the water surface in the “Cave Hall” and “Cave Tunnels” calmed down, though this tranquility didn’t last long.
Depending on the terrain, the water in the eastern tunnels began to flow. The sources of these flows were in the Ordinary Rooms Su Yao had just placed.
They rushed along the “Cave Tunnels,” forming spectacular waterfalls at the exits of the previously half-submerged and small-stream tunnels.
The water in the hall also flowed toward the tunnels on the west side. It looked like an underground river flowing east to west, but it was actually a “simulated river” controlled by magic.
The water formed a loop in the completely submerged tunnels. If anyone swam to the deepest part of the lake, they would find the current there ran opposite to the surface flow.
After setting up the [Water System], Su Yao slightly adjusted the terrain of the “Cave Hall.”
At the center, she created a large raised area that looked like a lake island from afar. Around the stone walls, she also left footholds for Adventurers.
With that done, she moved on to place the second “ingredient” spawn point.
“Spend 28,000 DP to purchase [Spore Network]?”
“Yes!”
[Spore Network]: An inconspicuous fungal network in dark, damp environments. Ubiquitous spores disperse with the airflow. After placement, it randomly spawns various mushrooms and spore-type monsters within a large area (limit 0/100). The cost to place spawn points and summon mushroom-type monsters is reduced, and their spawn speed is increased.
This was Su Yao’s second most expensive spawn point, originally priced at 40,000 DP. But of course, you get what you pay for.
The one hundred randomly generated mushrooms and mushroom-type monsters didn’t matter much; what really counted were the latter two effects.
With this, the “Labyrinth Tavern” could basically enjoy an unlimited mushroom supply.
Though, well, that was only part of the plan.
“Spend 17,500 DP to summon [King Giant Mushroom]?”
“Yes!”
Compared to before, this summoning was the most spectacular yet. Particles of light gathered continuously, making it seem like she was summoning a “Diga.”
When the glow faded, a huge glowing mushroom stood proudly on the island in the center of the “Cave Hall.”
It looked strikingly similar to the glowing giant weed called “Zanmalan” from the Rock Abyss.
