“Annoying, isn’t it?”
Vellanna appeared by her side again, but Vellandelle still ignored her.
Such delusional mental issues were easy to handle—just don’t acknowledge her, and as if she didn’t exist, the problem disappeared.
Vellandelle glanced at the darkening sky outside the window and stood up, preparing to leave.
“Even if you don’t speak to me, I can understand what’s on your mind. After all, we are one and the same.”
At the music room’s door, Vellanna blocked her path.
“I want to drag you down into the mud…”
Vellanna spread her arms, attempting to embrace Vellandelle, her lips slightly parted, as if about to kiss her.
Caught off guard, Vellandelle instinctively closed her eyes.
But her entire body simply passed through Vellanna.
“Hah…”
Beneath Vellanna’s black veil, her lips appeared even redder.
“Still can’t resist, huh? I told you, I’m you! You can’t get rid of me!”
“You!”
Vellandelle turned back, but Vellanna’s figure had already vanished.
Sighing helplessly, she lowered her head and quietly pondered.
“Maybe it’s just been too stressful lately. It’s nothing.”
Rubbing her temples, Vellandelle comforted herself.
“Ugh, it feels like I have so many problems, blurred memories, and now these delusions are getting worse.”
The Music Building at the academy resembled a tall tower overall, with spiral stairs winding downward. Stained glass windows shone with colorful light, and the evening glow cast vibrant patterns along the corridor.
Descending the steps, Vellandelle’s charming and pure face looked almost like a goddess illuminated by the light.
Exiting the Music Building, Vellandelle turned a corner.
It happened to be a blind spot, and she suddenly collided with someone.
“Crash…”
Scrolls and books scattered across the floor.
Vellandelle steadied her head and instinctively apologized, “I’m so sorry.”
“No, no, no, I should be the one apologizing…”
Before the other could finish, they suddenly seemed to realize something and said with surprise, “Vellandelle?”
“You’re… Teacher Vivilian?”
Vellandelle felt even more embarrassed and quickly helped gather the scattered scrolls and books. Teacher Vivilian was a great mentor and a benefactor to her.
After every class, Vivilian always wanted to privately tutor her.
And whenever they met, Vivilian insisted on buying lots of food to make sure Vellandelle was well-fed.
“Teacher, you seem to be in a hurry?”
“Yes, yes.”
Rubbing her head as well, Vivilian took the scrolls and books.
After Vellandelle’s reminder, she suddenly understood something.
“Here’s the thing. There’s been a discovery of a Gufalun subspace ruin near the school, but they haven’t figured out how to activate it yet. The academy’s senior staff observed that the Old God’s aura is very strong inside. Maybe it can help uncover the unsolved mysteries of the ‘Disaster God.’ Anyway, I must go to a meeting now!”
“Okay, teacher, please hurry.”
Vivilian quickly explained the matter in a few words, and understanding the reason, Vellandelle naturally didn’t waste any more of her time.
“Oh, right. Vellandelle, are you free tonight? I want to treat you to dinner. No other reason—just that I heard you’ve been working hard and might not be eating enough…”
“Ah, Teacher, don’t worry. Vellandelle’s eating well, so please focus on your meeting.”
Vellandelle smiled gently, signaling for her to rest easy.
Vivilian’s face flushed, and she hurriedly walked away, still reminding her as she left, “Remember to eat well! Come to me if you have any trouble!”
“Got it!”
Watching Vivilian’s figure disappear, Vellandelle snapped back to reality.
“Gufalun ruins?”
She scratched her head in confusion.
She really had no idea about this—there was no mention of this in the early game plot, and she didn’t recall it appearing in the mid or late stages either.
“Maybe because this ruin didn’t yield much or wasn’t particularly special, the game never brought it up?”
After some thought, Vellandelle could only assume so.
Walking along, she suddenly remembered she once had a key—when she first met Gloria, they encountered a mysterious person who gave it to her.
Back then, Gloria said it was a Gufalun-style key, and it even had a faint trace of curse aura left on it.
It should… be nothing, right?
With that thought, Vellandelle made her way toward the Aphrodite Restaurant.
Although she had no tasks tonight, Kelosha was there working on her behalf, wasn’t she?
It was rather helpless—Vellandelle originally planned to take a relaxed leave.
But Mia, just to mess with Kelosha, told her that if she was willing to work for Vellandelle, she would still get paid daily.
Though Vellandelle didn’t need Kelosha’s help, Kelosha felt she owed Vellandelle too much and wanted to do something for her.
Now, Kelosha had become the Wolf Maid working at the restaurant.
“It’s getting late. Silly girl, I told her to only work mornings and afternoons. She can’t still be busy now, can she?”
Upon arriving at the restaurant, Vellandelle glanced around, and sure enough, that silly dog was still working, seemingly well tricked by Mia.
Kelosha wore a black-and-white maid outfit, the short black skirt making her thighs look even more slender.
Her legs were clad in white stockings, which complemented her wolf maiden image, adding to her beauty.
“Master, welcome. May I take your order…”
“Ahem Kelosha, it’s me.”
Seeing Kelosha not even looking to see who it was, she quickly lowered her head and rushed forward.
Vellandelle cleared her throat twice, unable to resist reminding her.
Kelosha froze on the spot, her tail twitching nervously.
“Roommate…”
Her small mouth opened slightly, revealing a pair of tiger teeth.
Her expression was priceless—flushed red, looking flustered and shy.
“My little maid dog, I’m here to pick you up.”
Vellandelle lowered her head teasingly.
“Ugh… I’m not… a little dog.”
Kelosha became even more nervous after hearing that.
“Alright, alright, you’re not a little dog. You’re my best roommate. Hurry and change your clothes so we can go home.”
“Okay, okay.”
Kelosha nodded with relief and hurried toward the changing room.
At that moment, a familiar voice caught Vellandelle’s attention.
“Vellandelle-neechan!”
“Ah, Sister Xiao Jiu.”
Xiao Jiu excitedly stepped forward and grabbed Vellandelle’s hand.
“Vellandelle-neechan, I missed you so much for not coming all day.”
“Ah, I just took a few days off. Thanks for looking after Kelosha for me.”
“Of course. We all know she’s your friend. Plus, that girl is really interesting.”
“By the way, why are you here so late, Sister?”
“Don’t ask… it’s because…”
Xiao Jiu’s face was full of helplessness, as if about to spill endless complaints.
But just then, her words were suddenly cut off.
“So, you’re Vellandelle? Hmph, you look more like a fox.”
Hearing this hostile remark, Vellandelle raised her head and saw a stunning red-haired beauty wearing a disdainful expression.
“She’s Hela, the former Zui Mei Aishen… She’s straightforward and might think you’ve been stealing her spotlight lately. Don’t mind her, she means no harm…”
Xiao Jiu whispered a warning.
“What a lazy brat. I’ve been waiting for days, and today I finally caught you!”
Hela laughed lightly, a sneer curling at the corner of her mouth.
