After several fierce rounds of battle against the three vampires…
“Huff—huff—”
Dai Lina looked exhaustedly at the three figures in the distance. After these rounds of fighting, she had accumulated quite a number of new wounds on her body.
“Tch…”
Dai Lina clicked her tongue silently. Although they inflicted considerable damage on the enemy over the course of the battle, under that female vampire’s healing, those injuries were almost nullified.
Just as Dai Lina was panting heavily, pondering her next move, suddenly three more vampires appeared, holding a girl in their hands.
“We’ve dealt with our side,” one of the vampires said, tossing the girl toward Dai Lina. Only then did she recognize her—it was Xiao Xi.
“Xiao Xi!?”
Dai Lina hurried forward, carefully checking Xiao Xi’s injuries.
Her body was covered in wounds of all sizes, her clothes torn and tattered, looking pitifully miserable.
Her wounds were still bleeding. Although she was only unconscious for now, without immediate treatment, her life was in danger.
Dai Lina’s expression turned grave as she examined the injuries. She couldn’t heal Lusina’s wounds herself right now; the only option was to end the fight quickly and get Xiao Xi to proper medical attention.
But that was easier said than done…
“Hang on, Xiao Xi!”
She whispered softly, her eyes betraying a mix of guilt and self-reproach.
She recalled her earlier decision, filled with regret. If she hadn’t insisted on accompanying them, maybe they wouldn’t have fallen into this predicament.
What pained her most was that she hadn’t only endangered herself but had also dragged Lusina into this mess.
“It’s all my fault…” Dai Lina muttered, tears welling up in her eyes. Memories of her time in Liulicheng flashed through her mind.
But no amount of self-blame could change the current situation. The only way out was to break the stalemate!
At this point, it seemed there was no other choice.
Dai Lina quietly resolved that the only way to turn the tide was to unleash her True Ancestor Transformation.
This would temporarily raise her level to Master rank. She had used this very technique to escape a siege in Liulicheng before.
However, the cost was extremely steep.
Once the True Ancestor Transformation ended, she would fall into a prolonged state of extreme weakness, unable even to maintain an A-rank level of power.
Recalling those days after escaping Liulicheng, it took her four whole months to recover to her current state, during which she was under the strict protection of maids, losing all freedom and strength.
But now, with no way to summon the maids for support, she had no choice but to go all in and use this technique.
Clenching her fists tightly, a resolute and determined look shone in her eyes.
This was the only hope. No matter the outcome, she had to try.
She had to get Xiao Xi to treatment as soon as possible!
Meanwhile, on the vampires’ side…
“Hey, why is the Scarlet side so slow? We’ve already dealt with our opponents, but they haven’t finished yet.”
“No idea. Maybe they’re still playing around.”
“Seriously, can’t they fight faster? If we linger here too long, the humans might discover us.”
There was only one choice—to go all in!
Dai Lina stood up, ready to activate her True Ancestor Transformation, but at that moment…
“Bang—!”
A sudden voice sounded beside her, and Luna appeared next to her instantly.
“Heave-ho, I’m here to help.”
Eliza steadied herself and glanced around. She hadn’t expected the situation here to be so severe.
“Sister!?”
Luna’s eyes widened with alarm when she first saw her sister collapsed on the ground. She hurried over in panic.
She came to her sister’s side, but unlike Eliza, she couldn’t control her spiritual form smoothly. When she tried to reach out and lift her sister, her hand just passed right through her body.
“Sister—!”
At this moment, Eliza also arrived beside Luna. She quickly grabbed Xiao Xi’s hand, checking her wounds, frowning with concern.
“Pulse is faint. Without immediate treatment, she might not survive.”
With that, Eliza sprang into action. Her hands gently lifted, palms facing upward. Closing her eyes in concentration, she began to cast healing magic.
Suddenly, a soft light gradually spread around Eliza—that was the sign of Healing Magic being activated.
“It’s the Super-Advanced Healing Spell!”
Lina, watching nearby, exclaimed in surprise. She recognized the spell; it was a Super-Advanced Healing Spell that only Masters could cast!
Eliza then suddenly opened both hands wide. A warm, healing force surged from her palms, transforming into strands of light that gently enveloped Xiao Xi’s body.
The light seemed alive, lingering and drifting around Xiao Xi’s wounds, continuously repairing her damaged flesh.
As the spell persisted, Xiao Xi’s pale complexion gradually regained a flush of color, and her breathing steadied considerably.
Eliza focused intently on maintaining the healing spell. Only after confirming Xiao Xi’s condition had stabilized did she slowly withdraw her hands, exhaling in relief, a smile breaking across her face.
“You too.”
Eliza said this as the warm healing light now covered Dai Lina’s body. Within seconds, Dai Lina felt the pain and wounds vanish completely, her injuries fully healed.
“Why… can you…”
Before Dai Lina could ask how Eliza could cast such an advanced spell, Eliza made a shushing gesture, then whispered to her:
“You take care of this child. Leave the others to me.”
She was, of course, referring to the six vampires opposite them.
Taking a few steps forward, Eliza shielded Dai Lina and Lusina behind her, staring down the six vampires.
“Now, it’s your turn.”
The vampires’ faces showed shock at the sudden turn of events. They stared at Eliza in disbelief.
“Isn’t that the human the Scarlet Squad was supposed to eliminate?”
One vampire exclaimed, his voice full of doubt and unease.
“Where’s the Scarlet Squad then? Where are their people!?”
“Hey! Human over there, where are your people!?”
A seemingly leader-like vampire shouted threateningly at Eliza, his tone filled with hostility.
But in response to the vampire’s challenge, a sly smile curled at Eliza’s lips, her blood-red eyes glinting with light.
She slowly said, “The Scarlet Squad? You mean this?”
Before she finished, she flicked her wrist lightly. A round, bouncing head suddenly appeared in front of the vampires like a ball.
They all widened their eyes, faces full of disbelief!
That was the head of the Scarlet Squad Captain!
“Th-This can’t be!”
One vampire stammered.
“Oh my, looks like you know him,” Eliza feigned surprise, covering her mouth, but her eyes were full of mockery. “So this is the head you’ve been longing for.”
“They… they already…” The remaining vampires exchanged fearful glances, clearly terrified by the girl before them.
“Yes, they have all gone to another world,” Eliza’s lips curled into a teasing smirk, her tone laced with provocation.
“Impossible! They’re all S-rank Psychics, how could you possibly…”
Before the vampire could finish, he hastily tried to use the Appraisal skill to probe Eliza’s true strength.
What stunned him was that Eliza’s level displayed as completely blank!
“Why! Your level is blank!”
Eliza’s smile deepened at his words.
“Oh my, how amusing. Looks like my level is a mystery to you,” she chuckled softly. “How could it be… you bunch of fools, are you starting to get scared?”
She deliberately dragged out her tone, enjoying the vampires’ increasingly anxious and fearful expressions.
Then, Eliza suddenly made a finger-gun gesture, pointing directly at the vampire who had just Appraised her.
“Want to give it a try? See if someone with a ‘blank level’ like me can really scare you.”
Her words sliced through the air like a razor, striking at their hearts, and the entire group of vampires felt an unprecedented pressure.
“Let me be the first then.”
A smile crept onto Eliza’s lips as she softly uttered a “bang” sound. Suddenly, a bullet appeared from nowhere, precisely hitting the vampire’s leg, causing him to scream in agony.
“Aaah! My leg!”
“What!? What’s going on!? Could there be a sniper!?”
They shouted, panic and confusion written all over their faces.
The sudden turn of events threw the vampires into chaos. They frantically scanned the area, trying to locate where the bullet had come from.
After searching in vain, their eyes turned back toward Eliza.
But she just stood there, hand still pointed at them, as if everything was under her control.
“What kind of skill is that!?”
One vampire couldn’t help but shout, his voice full of fear and curiosity.
Eliza smiled faintly but didn’t answer directly. Instead, she gestured for them to keep watching.
At this moment, she seemed to be the master of the game, and all the vampires were merely pawns in her hands.
“Stay calm, treat his wound first.”
A female vampire hurried forward, preparing to cast the Healing Technique. But as she infused her magic into the wound, it remained unresponsive.
“How can this be… no effect…” she muttered in disbelief, withdrawing her magic helplessly, forced to listen to her companion’s agonized screams echoing around them.
“Damn it…”
“Where did the sniper come from!”
Another vampire looked around desperately, searching for the shooter’s location, but found nothing.
“Could it be Serena?”
He began to suspect.
“No, impossible. She hasn’t fired a shot since the start,” the female vampire denied decisively. “Besides, no one else could have gotten in here—this is my Blood Domain Cage. No one can enter.”
Listening to their conversation, Eliza’s confidence only grew.
“Look at your shocked faces. Still don’t get it?”
Her lips curled into a playful smile. She reveled in their panic and helplessness, savoring the thrill of controlling the whole situation and leaving them flustered.
“Hey, why don’t we suddenly appear and catch her off guard?”
One vampire whispered a plot to a companion, intending to launch a surprise attack.
“Sounds good.”
“Wait—!”
The female vampire tried to stop them, but it was too late. The two vampires suddenly flickered beside Eliza, weapons swinging.
“Watch out!”
Dai Lina shouted anxiously from behind, trying to warn her, but the two vampires appeared before Eliza like phantoms.
Their weapons gleamed with cold light, descending on Eliza with lightning speed.
At this critical moment, a cold smile curled on Eliza’s lips.
“Heh…”
