Time rewound to just moments ago.
“Miss Liakade… do you think Princess Field will succeed?”
Thinking about Field venturing alone deep into enemy lines, Alice felt completely powerless.
She couldn’t help in any way and could only stay here, waiting.
Restless and anxious, Alice found herself unable to focus on her studies or absorb what Liakade was teaching.
“It’s hard to say. That Irina Zi is a scheming, twisted lunatic.
You haven’t seen her true nature, so it’s probably hard to imagine. I don’t know if Princess Field will succeed this time either…”
Seeing Alice’s lack of concentration, Liakade gave up trying to teach. She continued, “But I’m sure there’s no real danger this time. Irina Zi wouldn’t make things difficult for Field.”
“Really?”
Alice was still worried about Field’s safety.
“Really.”
Liakade spoke with certainty. “It’s true that Irina Zi likes Field, but you, Alice, need to be more careful. If Field doesn’t succeed this time, Irina Zi will probably turn her attention to you next.”
“Don’t you think it’s Miss Liakade who’s in more danger?”
Alice seemed to realize something suddenly.
“If Princess Field fails, wouldn’t that raise Irina Zi’s suspicions? If she finds out Miss Liakade has betrayed her, then your situation will be even more dangerous.”
However, the two of them didn’t know that before Field went to meet Irina Zi, Liakade had already learned the truth through her informants.
“It’s fine. As long as she doesn’t kill me outright, I can endure for a while.”
The Legendary King of Endurance, Liakade, still had a certain confidence in her ability to withstand pressure.
Yet, as if to confirm their suspicions, the Curse Mark on Liakade’s forearm suddenly flared up with heat just as she finished speaking.
“Miss Liakade? What’s wrong? You look terrible. Is it that cold from yesterday still not gone?”
Seeing Liakade lower her head in silence and begin to breathe heavily, Alice assumed it was the lingering cold Irina Zi had caused.
“Alice… run. The farther, the better… get away from me!”
Liakade’s sense of losing control over her body intensified. She felt a burning heat rush through her, and her mouth opened involuntarily, as if something was about to come out.
“Miss Liakade?”
Alice, still confused about what was happening, leaned in to look at Liakade’s face and placed her palm on Liakade’s forehead.
“Miss Liakade’s head is burning hot! Is she running a fever?”
The next moment, Liakade suddenly grabbed Alice’s wrist.
“Alice!”
Liakade’s pupils seemed to turn into peach-red heart shapes.
“Ow!”
Liakade’s sudden attack startled Alice, causing pain where her wrist was gripped.
Liakade’s other hand didn’t stay idle either; she grabbed Alice’s collar and tore at her clothes with a gust of wind element magic, ripping even her underwear apart.
A pair of white rabbits hopped out.
“Miss Liakade…?”
Alice froze, unsure what to do. She tried to use her free hand to cover the exposed white rabbits, but Liakade’s actions didn’t stop and she tore the skirt into tatters as well.
“No, no! Miss Liakade, what’s wrong with you!”
Alice shouted frantically.
She could tell that Liakade was absolutely not herself—like she had taken some kind of strange drug.
“I… want it so much…”
Liakade gently blew into Alice’s ear and then softly bit her earlobe. Alice felt a faint electric shock ripple through her body, weakening her limbs.
Liakade’s gaze was completely hazy now. She discarded the rest of her clothes and forcefully pinned Alice down on the bed.
“Miss Liakade! Please snap out of it!”
Alice struggled desperately, but Liakade’s strength far exceeded hers. No matter how hard Alice fought, her arms were firmly held down.
“Is Irina Zi controlling you? No! Miss Liakade, don’t do this!”
Hearing Alice’s cries, Liakade’s eyes briefly cleared. She bit her tongue hard and temporarily regained control of her body.
“Go… go quickly! I can’t control myself!”
Liakade released her grip and urged Alice to leave, but the next moment she let out a scream even more agonizing than Alice’s.
“Ah!!!”
“Miss Liakade?”
Watching Liakade’s worsening pain, Alice thought to use Light Magic on her.
But Light Magic had little effect against the Spell Command’s control.
Naked, Liakade knelt on the bed, trembling and panting, her whole body burning hotter and hotter as if being scorched.
A raging flame blazed in her lower abdomen, and the heat shot straight to her brain, blurring her vision.
She suddenly thought all those modern computer parts were nothing compared to this. If she didn’t do something soon, her brain might just fry.
“Go quickly. I… can’t hold on anymore…”
Seeing Alice hesitate, Liakade mustered her last strength to urge her away.
“What about you, Miss Liakade? You look like you’re in so much pain!”
Alice’s heart ached as she looked at Liakade’s suffering and hesitated to leave.
“Don’t worry about me… I’ll find a way to fix this myself.”
After a moment of silence, Alice spoke again.
“If… I could help Miss Liakade return to normal, I’m willing to let you…”
“Idiot!”
Before Alice finished, Liakade interrupted her.
“How could you treat your body like that? Things like that should only be done with someone you love. Don’t sacrifice yourself for me!”
“But… the one I love is Miss Liakade!”
Alice’s gaze hardened as she confessed awkwardly to Liakade.
“So… I don’t want to see you in so much pain. If doing this could bring you back to normal, I’m willing!”
With that, Alice took the initiative to embrace her.
Alice’s closeness caused Liakade to lose her reason once again. She forcefully pressed Alice beneath her, holding both of Alice’s arms down on the pillow with one hand, while the other began to explore deeper.
No. This can’t happen!
Seeing tears suddenly well up at the corner of Alice’s eye along with a faint smile of relief, Liakade’s mind screamed inside, but she couldn’t stop her hand.
At that moment, a voice echoed inside Liakade’s mind.
