“Haah!”
The Greater Goblin charged forward with a terrifying scream, its sheer presence enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.
Krexia had never seen such a spectacle before. Realizing that her Third-Tier Magic barely caused any effective damage to this massive brute, she hastily dispelled her magic and dashed sideways to a nearby position.
The Greater Goblin surged ahead like a speeding tank, moving at an incredible speed. Just as Krexia escaped, it had already reached the spot where she had just stood — the base of a large tree.
“Boom!”
With its monstrous physical strength, the moment it collided with the tree, it shattered not only the tree but also many surrounding ones.
The violent gusts created by the impact whipped up leaves, branches, and shards of splintered wood flying everywhere, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.
Krexia raised her arm to shield her head; the flying debris stung her arm painfully.
When she looked up and saw the oval-shaped dirt path forcibly cleared before her, Krexia’s heart was shaken deeply.
“Damn…”
“If I hadn’t dodged that charge, I would’ve turned straight into Krexia-chan paste.”
She clenched her magic wand, and light immediately shimmered around her body.

Two battle-enhancing buffs enveloped her.
Wind’s Blessing greatly boosted her movement speed, while Oath of Focus heightened her perception and reflexes, and even sped up her spellcasting to some extent — all magics she had learned before.
“From what I see, this big guy seems to lack any real intelligence or ranged attacks. It just knows how to charge recklessly.”
“As long as I dodge its head-on charges like a bullfighter, wear down its mana and stamina, and then find an opening to strike with magic, maybe I can…”
“Phew…”
A powerful gust suddenly swept over her; the thick dust instantly dispersed, and a massive tree came crashing down with a roaring wind, hurtling from the clearing towards Krexia’s position.
“?”
Without time to think, her body instinctively moved sideways, barely dodging the falling tree.
“Boom!”
The tree plunged into the ground at an angle, sending soil flying everywhere.
Glancing back at the Greater Goblin’s position, the dust had cleared. The Goblin still stood in a throwing stance, its chest soaked in a large wet patch with a noticeable but shallow wound.
The faint twitch of its bicep clearly told Krexia the tree had been hurled by it.
“I spoke too soon… but it looks like Third-Tier Magic isn’t completely useless after all.”
Seeing that a single spell wouldn’t stop it, the Goblin charged toward another nearby tree. Clasping its hands together and bracing its legs, the entire tree trembled under its strength. The roots tore through the soil as the tree was violently uprooted.
“Not done yet? Put that tree down!”
Krexia quickly raised her wand and aimed at the ground beneath the Goblin’s feet.
[ Elemental · Third-Tier Control · Stagnant Swamp ]
Thanks to the Oath of Focus buff, the casting speed of her Third-Tier Magic was visibly faster.
The soil beneath the Goblin instantly softened, transforming into a small swamp just large enough to engulf its feet.
Without a foothold, the Goblin couldn’t move the uprooted tree. The recoil from pulling it out caused most of its body to sink deep into the swamp.
Seeing its predicament, the Goblin struggled violently, splashing mud and water everywhere.
At the same time, intense magical fluctuations began radiating from its body. The swamp around it boiled as if heated by boiling water.
Krexia didn’t want to give it a moment to recover. If this big guy escaped, it would be almost impossible to control again.

A huge, heavy rock appeared dozens of meters above the Goblin’s head, then slammed down hard.
Bang!
Crash!
The impact sent up a violent spray of mud and water, and the Goblin was completely submerged into the swamp.
However, no one would think this beast had been so easily dealt with.
Because the boiling of the swamp continued relentlessly.
Seizing the moment, Krexia gripped her wand tightly, channeling part of her mana into support and began chanting Fourth-tier Magic.
As her chant grew louder, three magic circles — two large and one small — unfolded centered on her position.
With mana flowing directly from Krexia’s body, the intricate magic runes around the circles rapidly materialized at an incredible speed.
“Hum…”
The hum of magical energy started to resonate.
At this point, her camouflage magic could no longer hold. Her normally black hair, previously drifting in still air, reverted to its original silvery-white as the chant intensified.
Nearly forty runes arranged in a precise pattern slowly rotated around the grand magic circle, closing the mana circuit.
The surrounding air temperature began to spike dramatically. Around Krexia, plants withered and turned yellow before her eyes.
The entire chant took less than ten seconds — such speed was extremely rare even among the Fourth-Tier Mages of the Huangyu Empire.

As the final rune crystallized, the entire magic circuit sealed, and the magic circle flared with blinding firelight.
Dozens of blazing chains shot forward from the magic circle, aiming straight for the Greater Goblin.
“Boom!”
At that moment, the Goblin forced its thick magical power to break free from the swamp’s grasp, shattering the two Third-Tier spells that had just attacked it.
However, just as it clawed its way back to solid ground, the fiery red chains, radiating heat waves, had already flown before its eyes.
In the blink of an eye, the massive creature was tightly bound from head to toe.
The intense heat searing its skin produced a sharp sizzling sound, and plumes of white smoke rose up.
The scorching flames burned with excruciating pain, causing the Goblin to unleash agonized roars.
“Not done yet, big guy.”
As the voice fell, another arm-thick chain with a sharp arrowhead flared out, targeting the Goblin’s heart.
The Goblin, sensing a mortal threat, saw its eyes dim slightly, the rage and madness fading, replaced by a flicker of fear.
Much like the look in the eyes of those smaller Goblins it had crushed moments ago.
But even fear was useless now.
“Pshhh… sizzle…”
The chain pierced straight through its heart.
No matter how tough the skin, the organs of any magical creature were fragile.
Its thick heart was shattered utterly, the extreme heat from the chains nearly igniting its internal organs.
With a final wail, the Goblin spat out a mouthful of dark green blood that stained the chains before quickly drying into steam.
It soon breathed its last.
