“Clorel, do you trust me?”
Looking at the maid who nodded without hesitation, Su Yao felt an inexplicable happiness swell in his chest.
“All right, what we’re about to do might be beyond what you imagine, but rest assured, I won’t harm anyone you cherish.”
With a grand sweep of his hand, Su Yao converted all the gold coins he had received from Hilvi this morning and opened the Shop.
The DP points had risen to over thirty-one thousand.
Purchasing a 【Binding Card】 cost ten thousand DP, which stung a lot, but for Clorel’s sake, he gritted his teeth and decided to buy it.
“Purchasing a 【Binding Card】 requires first expanding the Dungeon and constructing a BOSS room. Please meet the above conditions first.”
That made sense. If he could buy Binding Cards endlessly, Su Yao would have turned the Dungeon’s Slimes into BOSSes just to try.
Following the system’s instructions, he chose to expand the Dungeon. The rumbling sound “thundering” around him was so strong this time that not only the ground trembled, but dust even fell from above the dungeon.
After a while, the abnormality ceased.
Except for the area near the stone pillars illuminated by torches, the rest of the space grew dark and deep once again.
However, the locations of the three Magic Springs—one large and two small—and the two dungeon rooms remained unchanged.
Su Yao didn’t waste time confirming the expansion’s effects. Just as he had suspected, the cost for the second Dungeon expansion was ten thousand DP.
After calculating his remaining DP, he chose to expand again.
Once the second expansion finished, the expansion option in the Shop grayed out, indicating that this floor could only be expanded to this size.
Why this floor? Because after the two expansions, a new option appeared in the Shop—“Add a new floor,” which cost fifty thousand DP.
Never mind how astronomical that number was; Su Yao didn’t need a second floor Dungeon for now.
Next came constructing the Dungeon BOSS room. The Dungeon BOSS room could be enhanced by spending additional DP to add some “little surprises,” although some of these surprises only applied to the “dungeon” environment.
On top of the base cost of 500 DP, Su Yao spent another thousand DP to build a “Dim” plus “Magic Suppression” BOSS room.
The buffs for this room were exactly as described.
Dim — All lighting effects reduced by fifty percent.
Magic Suppression — All creatures in the room cannot use magic.
Then he spent an additional 1,500 DP to build a “Teleportation Disabled” plus “Dungeon” BOSS room.
Teleportation Disabled — All teleportation magic is unusable by any means.
Dungeon — Before the “BOSS” in this room is defeated, no one can leave.
It was obvious the second room was meant for a deathmatch.
Having met these conditions, Su Yao successfully spent ten thousand DP to purchase his second 【Binding Card】.
“Use.”
Sophia Roland was bound as the Dungeon BOSS.

Reading this long list of negative statuses, Su Yao’s scalp tingled. Sophia in a normal state must be very strong — no wonder she was Clorel’s Guard Captain.
It was no surprise she had been tortured by the enemy like this; clearly, they feared her greatly.
Well, despite the gamble, it was time for the next step.
“Clorel, give me your dagger, then go wait in the room.”
The chestnut-haired maid froze for a moment, looking at Su Yao with suspicion, then glanced at the Sophia in her arms.
After a long silence, she finally handed the dagger to the blonde girl and returned to the room as instructed.
Su Yao looked at the white-haired girl before her, her chest rising and falling, hands trembling as she held the dagger.
“Sorry, this might hurt a bit. I hope you won’t hate me.”
With that, Su Yao gripped the handle with both hands and forcefully drove the dagger into the white-haired girl’s chest.
Sophia, who had been asleep, was abruptly awakened, her body convulsing violently, purple lips opening and closing like a fish out of water.
Seeing her in such pain, Su Yao closed his eyes reluctantly. Indeed, killing someone was still too difficult for him.
After a while, Sophia’s body turned into particles of light and vanished before him, leaving behind only a pile of “remnants.”
A system prompt echoed in his mind.
“Dungeon BOSS Sophia Roland death detected. Revive immediately?”
“Yes.”
Looking at his bloodstained hands, Su Yao was momentarily dazed but without hesitation selected “Yes” when prompted.
The particles of light reassembled, and before long, a naked white-haired, red-eyed girl reappeared in front of him. After sitting dumbfounded for a moment, she touched her eyes in disbelief.
“Success!”
Su Yao had gambled right. Disabilities and diseases in this world were merely statuses, and “Dungeon BOSS” revivals could clear these statuses.
Thinking about it, if the BOSS came back with a debuff every time it revived, what would be the point of resurrection?
But before he could celebrate for long, he felt as if something was being drawn out from his body.
From Sophia’s perspective, a familiar blonde figure flickered in and out of existence before finally collapsing to the ground.
“Royal Princess!”
……

“Haah~”
Su Yao sat up on the bed and stretched lazily. Ever since becoming the Dungeon Core, he hadn’t slept this soundly in a long time.
Wait, how had he fallen asleep?
He had been excited about successfully reviving the beautiful white-haired, red-eyed (and naked) girl, when suddenly something was pulled out from his body, and overwhelming fatigue swept over him…
Why was that?
If he tried to recall what he did before this feeling appeared…
Su Yao had an idea. He had said how bizarre it was that the Dungeon BOSS had such a broken revival ability, and sure enough, it required him to pay a price — though the exact cost was still unclear.
That lingering feeling was just very uncomfortable.
“Miss Su Yao? You’re awake?”
An unfamiliar voice sounded beside him, and only then did Su Yao notice Sophia standing guard quietly by the bed.
The dim dungeon room was indeed troublesome; he’d need to move out when he had the chance.
“Su Yao!”
A cool voice came from the other side of the bed. The chestnut-haired maid rushed over, wrapping the petite blonde girl tightly in her arms.
