Colin stared at the front gate of the mansion, a headache washing over him as he recalled what Sifney had said.
He had originally planned to go out and buy clothes for Liyami, but unexpectedly ran into Sifney and the others returning at the gate.
He explained Liyami’s situation to Sifney and hoped they could help.
Unexpectedly, Sifney said that the remaining Demon Race member, Alec, had self-destructed in the end, and she had never heard of a magic array that could turn a male into a female.
Just as Colin was struggling with what to do, the Lord of Kit City suddenly contacted him through Communication Magic, saying the previous high-risk incident hadn’t been fully resolved.
So Colin had to handle that first and left the task of buying clothes to Sifney and the others.
Now, having dealt with the lingering dangers from the last incident, Colin stood in front of the mansion’s gate, pondering how to solve the problem on Liyami.
“This won’t work. If it’s just me, no matter how hard I think, I can’t figure it out. I need to discuss this with them,” Colin decided.
He steadied himself, opened the gate, and walked inside.
“I’m back. Liyami, you’re okay, right?”
But the moment Colin stepped inside, he sensed something was off.
Hearing Colin’s voice behind her, Liyami froze completely.
She had intended to use this chance to tease Eleanor and Lavineia, especially since she hadn’t fully forgiven them for buying her a Maid Uniform.
She hadn’t expected Colin to come back at that moment.
Now awkward, Liyami stood there, unsure of what to do.
She didn’t dare turn around yet—not ready to face Colin like this.
Just as Liyami thought she couldn’t just stand there, she heard Colin’s confused voice behind her.
“Strange. Wasn’t this mansion just given to me by the Kingdom recently? I don’t remember hiring any maids. Did you hire them?”
Colin walked over to the sofa and looked at Eleanor and Lavineia with puzzlement.
But neither answered his question.
Eleanor covered her face with both hands, unable to look his way, while Lavineia covered her mouth with one hand and her stomach with the other, as if she was about to burst out laughing any second.
Colin stared at them in confusion, not understanding why they were acting so strangely.
Then he glanced again at the black-haired maid.
Though she had her back to him, Colin could tell from her silhouette that she must be a beauty.
For some reason, Colin felt she looked vaguely familiar.
“Strange, where have I seen her before? Why does she seem so familiar? But I don’t remember seeing any maid like her…Hmm…If Liyami wore that outfit, she’d definitely look amazing. Haha, what am I thinking? Liyami in a Maid Uniform? No way…”
Colin suddenly had a frightening suspicion.
He looked the maid up and down again, and the more he looked, the more she resembled Liyami.
Finally, unable to hold back, he asked,
“Brother, is that you?”
At this, Lavineia burst into laughter uncontrollably.
Eleanor buried her face even deeper.
Hearing Colin’s question and Lavineia’s loud laughter, Liyami slowly turned around, showing Colin a stiff smile.
“It’s me, your most trusted brother, Liyami.”
Colin was stunned by Liyami’s words—not because of what she said, but because of how cute she looked in the Maid Uniform.
So beautiful, so adorable. Colin thought instinctively.
But before he could savor Liyami’s cuteness, he was thrown into confusion again by what happened next.
“Hahaha! Maid, why don’t you greet your master properly? Say ‘Welcome back, Lord Colin!’ Also, why haven’t you poured him any tea? Come on, serve some black tea to our great Holy Knight, haha!”
Lavineia was laughing so hard she felt like her stomach would explode.
Colin noticed that as Lavineia spoke, Liyami’s expression darkened.
Taking a deep breath, Liyami suddenly pounced on Lavineia before she could react and stabbed a suspicious syringe into Lavineia’s shoulder.
“Wishing you good health, dear Lady Lavineia.”
Lavineia’s laughter immediately stopped.
Their eyes met silently for a moment before Lavineia, trembling slightly, said, “Didn’t you say you didn’t have a second syringe?”
Liyami quickly backed away and then sweetly said, “That’s right, there was only one Constipation Cure. This syringe isn’t for that—it’s a Toxin Expulsion Potion.”
She pointed at her own face and stuck out her tongue.
“It comes out through the mouth.”
Seeing this, Lavineia tried to say something else, but a sudden wave rushed up her throat.
She quickly covered her mouth with both hands and then bolted frantically toward the bathroom.
Colin watched everything unfold, unsure what to say.
He looked at Liyami and asked, “That potion…shouldn’t be a big problem, right?”
“Don’t worry, Lord Colin. It’s just a potion to keep the body healthy,” Liyami said with a sweet smile.
Colin felt a chill run down his spine at her smile.
Just as he was about to respond, sounds came from the bathroom.
“Huh? Lavineia?! Don’t come in yet! I’m still—”
Bang!
“Ugh!!!”
“Lavineia!!! Are you crazy? You just threw up all over me!!!”
Listening to Lavineia’s retching and Sifney’s screams from the bathroom, Colin swallowed back what he was going to say.
After a while, watching Liyami quietly sipping her black tea and hearing the ongoing sounds of vomiting and screaming from the bathroom, Colin finally broke the silence.
“Liyami, how do you feel?”
“Feel what?”
“About being female…are you adapting to it?”
Colin carefully observed Liyami’s expression but found no change.
“Not bad, it’s not like I lost a limb. Since I can’t change back now, I just have to get used to it.”
Hearing this, Colin breathed a slight sigh of relief.
It seemed Liyami was handling it better than he had imagined.
But before he could say more, Liyami asked,
“By the way, what do you think of me in a Maid Uniform?”
Her sudden question made Colin’s brain freeze.
He didn’t quite understand why she suddenly jumped to this topic.
But since she asked, he had to answer.
After a moment of intense thought, Colin came up with the most fitting reply.
“You look simply inhuman right now.”
“Haha,” Liyami laughed, clearly amused.
