Liyami knew something was wrong when she saw them fall silent all at once, but she still forced herself to stay calm as she asked, “So, what happened? Didn’t catch him? Did he get away?”
Hearing Liyami’s forced calm, Eleanor, Lavinya, and Sifni exchanged glances.
Finally, they spoke together.
“…He’s dead.”
“He self-destructed.”
“He was a true Demon Race.”
Liyami was stunned by their words and remained speechless for a long time.
After a while, she slowly spoke.
“So…can I still change back?”
At her question, Sifni looked at Liyami apologetically.
“Uh, this might, probably, most likely…be impossible. Think about it — magic that turns a man into a woman? That’s the first time I’ve ever heard of it. And the Magic Circle that transformed you disappeared too. I don’t even know where to start looking for any related information. So…you might have to be a girl for a very long time.”
Liyami felt as if she had been struck by lightning after Sifni’s lengthy explanation.
She stood still for a moment before slowly walking over to the sofa and lying down, then adjusted her posture and peacefully closed her eyes.
“Wake up. No matter how many times you open your eyes, it won’t change the fact,” Lavinya tried to pull Liyami back to reality.
But Liyami remained motionless, eyes still shut.
“I’m just thinking about whether it’s better to live like this…or to just commit suicide and restart my life.”
Sifni responded with disbelief, “Is it really that dramatic? It’s just becoming a girl, it’s not a big deal.”
She paused, then puffed out her broad chest proudly.
“Strong people aren’t afraid of a little change like this.”
Liyami got up from the sofa and glared fiercely at Sifni.
“Easy for you to say, you’re not the one who got transformed! Besides, what kind of ‘strong person’ are you? You’re the weakest in the entire Squad besides me.”
Sifni muttered something under her breath so quietly that none of them caught it.
At that moment, Saint Eleanor timidly said, “Actually, being a girl isn’t all that bad…”
Lavinya quickly agreed, “Yeah, yeah. Being a girl is great! You can wear pretty little dresses. Look at you now — you’re like an adorable little maid. Plus, you get to tease Colin, and Colin can’t do anything about it. If he dares to resist, we’ll just report him to the Temple and have him thrown in prison.”
Lavinya’s excitement grew as she started punching the air angrily, clearly still frustrated by Colin’s steel-like stubbornness.
Liyami recalled how Lavinya had used a series of moves to try to win Colin over during their ‘date,’ only for Colin to remain completely unaware it was a date and think it was just a trip out to buy some things.
Thinking about that made Liyami feel a little sorry for Lavinya.
But soon, another question popped into her mind.
“Wait. With Colin’s terrible taste—he wears the same clothes every day—how could he have possibly bought me a maid outfit? And Sifni just said Colin’s been out for a while, so when would he have had time to buy clothes for me? That means…”
Liyami shot a dangerous look at the three of them.
Lavinya’s air-punching froze for a moment before she resumed as if nothing had happened.
Eleanor looked away, avoiding Liyami’s gaze.
Sifni slowly raised her hands and then pointed at Lavinya.
“She’s the mastermind. It was all her doing. Eleanor and I were just forced into it. It’s all her fault.”
Lavinya looked at Sifni in disbelief, clearly surprised that Sifni was throwing her under the bus while completely exonerating herself — even though it had been Lavinya who originally came up with the plan!
“Hahaha, so it was you, Lavinya. What kind of punishment do you want?”
“Not me! It was Sifni! I was the one being forced!”
Lavinya tried to explain.
Liyami knew it couldn’t have been just Lavinya’s idea, so while questioning Lavinya, she slowly moved closer to Sifni.
Sifni was still arguing fiercely with Lavinya, completely unaware that Liyami had come up behind her.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Liyami swiftly jabbed a syringe into Sifni’s arm.
Sifni suddenly felt a faint sting in her arm.
Turning her head, she saw Liyami injecting the liquid inside the syringe.
Sifni was silent for a moment, then looked up at Liyami’s brightly smiling face.
Her lips trembled as she asked, “What did you just inject into me?”
Liyami smiled warmly.
“Don’t worry, it’s just some medicine good for your health.”
“For my health?”
“Exactly! Once you get this, your constipation will be cured instantly.”
“But…I’m not constipated…”
“Oh dear~ That’s not good. I recommend you go to the bathroom right now~ Otherwise, it won’t be pretty if you have to go here~ That wouldn’t be very strong of you~”
Sifni tried to say something more but immediately felt a bad sensation in her stomach.
She clutched her belly in panic and dashed crazily toward the bathroom.
Lavinya looked in the direction Sifni ran off, then back at Liyami’s radiant smile, and started to break out in a cold sweat.
Lavinya cautiously asked Liyami, “I don’t need to get injected with that, do I?”
“Don’t worry, the mastermind’s already handled. And I don’t have a second syringe anyway, so you’re safe.”
Relieved, Lavinya let out a breath.
Liyami had actually wanted to punish Lavinya a little, but she ultimately decided against it because she was a kind Assassin.
Besides, there was a small reason: Lavinya’s rank was quite high, only slightly lower than Colin’s, so it would be difficult to punish her even if Liyami wanted to.
At that moment, Eleanor came over carrying a pot of Red Tea.
It seemed she hadn’t joined the debate between Sifni and Lavinya earlier because she was busy brewing tea.
“Um, I made some Red Tea. I hope after drinking it, Liyami, you can forgive them a little. Huh? Where did Sifni go?”
Eleanor placed the tea on the table but didn’t see Sifni anywhere.
“She went to maintain her health,” Liyami said with a glance at the tea Eleanor brewed.
“Did you make this?”
“Yes, I learned it from my master. Colin learned it too.”
Eleanor was about to pour tea for Liyami and Lavinya.
Before she could pick up the teapot, a small, white hand reached out and grabbed it.
Eleanor looked at Liyami in surprise, and Liyami smiled sweetly.
“Oh, how could I let the Saint do such a thing? Leave it to this little maid.”
With that, Liyami poured a cup of Red Tea each for Eleanor and Lavinya, moving with the professionalism of a true maid.
Eleanor and Lavinya were about to say something, but before they could, the mansion’s front door opened.
“I’m back. Liyami, is everything okay?”
