Chapter 7: Are these your formal clothes?

“Wow, my chest must be a D cup by now.”

In the bathroom, Liyami was examining her body.

After discussing with Colin, they had decided that Liyami would first measure herself in the bathroom, then Colin would go buy suitable clothes.

Liyami only needed to finish measuring and bathing, then wait for Colin to bring the clothes over.

Liyami looked at her reflection, feeling a bit embarrassed.

This was the first time she had ever really looked at a female body in this way.

But once she reminded herself that this was her own body, her embarrassment quickly faded.

She pinched her arm.

The bathroom door was knocked.

Hearing Colin change how he addressed her, Liyami’s mouth twitched.

“Just call me brother.”

Liyami opened the bathroom door a crack and quickly tossed a slip of paper through.

Colin looked at the blurry shadow behind the bathroom door.

He wasn’t sure whether to warn Liyami that the door was somewhat translucent.

In the end, Colin chose not to say anything.

He picked up the paper from the floor and furrowed his brow the moment he saw it.

That big?

That should be a D cup for sure.

Colin looked back at the bathroom door, but Liyami was already gone.

A sudden wave of guilt washed over him.

“Slap!”

How could a Paladin think such things!

Colin slapped himself hard across the face to refocus his mind.

“If even a blurry shadow has this effect, that magic circle is truly terrifying. I need to find information about it quickly,” Colin murmured to himself.

He gripped the slip of paper tightly and stepped out of the mansion, determined to buy the clothes before Liyami finished bathing.

“Hm?”

But right at the mansion gate, he ran into someone unexpected.

Liyami lay dazed in the bathtub, thinking about what to do next.

If Xifuni and the others failed to capture Yalike, or if Yalike didn’t know how to turn back, what then?

If that happened, she would have to live as a woman for a long time.

She recalled the message transmitted through the Assassin’s Mark: May 29th, 21:00, Kit City outskirts, cemetery.

Today was May 28th—meaning the regular contact meeting was scheduled for tomorrow night.

Just thinking about it gave Liyami a headache.

Although Colin now believed she really was Liyami, no one else in the Shadow Veil Secret Society knew yet.

Colin was not only powerful but kind-hearted, which was why he gave her so much time to explain.

The Shadow Veil Secret Society wouldn’t be so forgiving.

If the contact saw someone who wasn’t Liyami, the best case was to flee immediately.

The worst case was the contact calling nearby Assassins to attempt to kill her.

That would be terrible.

Although Liyami was one of the strongest Assassins in the society aside from the President, she was still only one.

If a few others happened to be nearby…

And now, she didn’t even know if her strength had declined after turning female.

“Maybe I should bring Colin along? No, no, that would be like outright betraying the society.”

The Shadow Veil Secret Society had strict rules for Assassins.

One of them was that no outsiders could be present during routine contacts or mission briefings.

Otherwise, the President would directly control the Assassin’s Mark to kill the Assassin.

So, if Liyami took Colin to meet the contact, it would be suicide.

There was, however, another way for the contact to verify she was truly Liyami—using the Assassin’s Mark’s information transmission function.

Usually, only the President could send information through the Assassin’s Mark, or an Assassin could record a final message—

Assassin’s Last Words—when near death to send to the President.

But there was a third case: when two Assassins were close enough, they could expend a small amount of magic to directly transmit messages.

Now, Liyami could only hope the Assassin’s Mark still worked despite its altered appearance.

That way, she could use it to prove her identity.

Liyami submerged most of her body in the bathtub, slowly exhaling bubbles that floated to the surface.

She considered sending an Assassin’s Last Words message to the President immediately but reconsidered.

The Assassin’s Last Words could only be used once, and she was not near death.

If she confirmed the Assassin’s Mark was functional tomorrow, she wouldn’t need to send it.

If it turned out to be broken, sending it now would be pointless.

At least the receiving function was still intact.

Sigh.

After thinking it through, she quickly finished her bath.

Wrapping a towel around herself, she slowly opened the bathroom door.

She glanced outside but saw no sign of Colin.

Noticing a clothes rack by the door, she realized Colin had already bought the clothes.

Liyami quickly grabbed the rack, murmuring softly, “I didn’t expect him to move so fast. Hm? These clothes…”

But when Liyami saw the clothes clearly, her murmuring and movements came to a halt.

The rack held only a few items: pink lingerie, delicate little leather shoes, white stockings, and a maid outfit.

Liyami stared at the clothes, dumbfounded.

She recalled what she told Colin: to buy suitable clothes after she finished measuring.

But she never said women’s clothes!

And a maid outfit at that!

A murderous urge toward Colin surged within her.

Now she finally understood why the Shadow Veil Secret Society wanted her to kill Colin.

How could someone like Colin be a righteous Paladin?

He was obviously a fiend!

A demon forcing his brother to wear a maid outfit!

After venting her anger at Colin mentally, Liyami held her head in frustration, staring at the clothes.

She knew today, she would have to obey Colin’s wishes.

Her previous clothes had vanished—where Colin had thrown them, she had no idea.

So now, it was either wear the maid outfit or just wrap herself in the towel and go out.

Neither option was easy for her to accept.

In the end, after a fierce internal struggle, Liyami picked up the lingerie and maid outfit.
